Sophia claimed the hype was all due to marketing, as it doesn't contain any clinically-proven ingredients to actually regrow hair.
Surprisingly, she also slammed

On the more positive end, she gave

Sophia explained that it activates hair growth by triggering an olfactory response — basically waking the follicles up with scent stimulation.
She claims it's smart, but still not as effective as Minoxidil.
Sophie's ultimate hair-growth hack
She swears by combining Minoxidil with DHT-blocking supplements like pumpkin seed oil, saw palmetto and stinging nettle root.
She explained that DHT is the hormone that shrinks hair follicles and so stopping it is key if you want to stop the loss.
Still, she insists: 'You can spend hundreds on shampoos, tonics and influencers' favourites, but nothing beats Minoxidil, DHT blockers and maybe laser therapy if you're serious about regrowth.'
But behind all the testing and reviews is a much deeper journey.
Sofia first realised something was wrong when she started noticing
'I'd wake up and see more scalp than hair,' she recalled. 'Then I spotted actual bald patches.'
Eventually, she was diagnosed with androgenic alopecia, a genetic condition more commonly found in older women but hers came on fast and early.
At the time, she says she withdrew from friends, felt deeply insecure, and spent months researching solutions.
Doctors warned there was no permanent cure, just ongoing treatments.
That's when Sofia threw herself into learning about hair biology and testing everything she could get her hands on.
Hair re-growth FAQs
Anabel Kingsley, Consultant Trichologist and Brand President at
How long does it take for hair to grow back?
Hair grows, on average, half an inch a month. You cannot speed this up.
Do rosemary oil and scalp massages work?
Oils do not promote hair growth. In terms of rosemary oil, the current trend stems from one small study carried out on 50 men in 2015. No women were involved, and the study compared the effects of 2 per cent minoxidil to Rosemary oil. 2 per cent minoxidil doesn't do much for
male pattern hair loss anyway, so the results were not very impressive. Oils do serve a purpose in conditioning hair treatments though. They help add shine and smooth the hair cuticle to lock-in moisture and improve combability. Scalp massages alone won't cure hair loss, but it can help relax you, aid in lymphatic drainage, exfoliate and help topicals penetrate.
Are there any products or foods/vitamins you recommend someone using or
eating to help with hair regrowth?
To support healthy hair regrowth, if you are experiencing hair thinning we'd recommend our Density Preserving Scalp Drops clinically proven to help slow hair loss with continued daily use within three months.
Telogen effluvium (hair shedding) due to nutritional deficiencies can often be simply treated with changes to your diet, and nutritional supplements such as our specially formulated Density Healthy Hair Complex and Density Amino Acid Booster.
Iron and Ferritin (stored iron) in red meat, dried apricots and dark, leafy greens. Vitamin B12 in animal products and fortified plant-based foods. Protein from oily fish, lean meat, cottage cheese, tofu, nuts, chickpeas, and beans.
However, there may be an underlying cause for their hair loss and rather than this being masked by using an off-the-shelf product, they should be encouraged to seek the advice of a specialist such as a Trichologist.
Now, thanks to her routine and that game-changing Amazon foam, her hair is visibly fuller and healthier, and her confidence is back too.
She's built a supportive following on TikTok where she shares advice, reviews, and encouragement with others facing hair loss.
'People message me every day, from teen boys to women in their 50s, saying thank you for being honest about what works and what doesn't,' she said.
She says her comment section has become a "beautiful space where people just support each other".

I bought £8 Spanx dupe from TikTok shop & they melted into my skin, I ended up in A&E with painful second degree burns
Plus, how to avoid being scammed on TikTok shop SHORTS SHOCK I bought £8 Spanx dupe from TikTok shop & they melted into my skin, I ended up in A&E with painful second degree burns A WOMAN has been left with second degree burns after shapewear she purchased on TikTok shop "melted" into her skin. Molly-May Watson, 27, bought the £8.57 "Spanx-like" shorts in May 2024 through a seller called MOONGIRL-UK on the social media app. 8 Molly-May Watson bought a pair of £8.57 'Spanx-like' shorts in May 2024 Credit: SWNS 8 She was left with second degree burns after shapewear she purchased on TikTok shop 'melted' into her skin Credit: SWNS 8 The shorts that Molly-May claims burned her Credit: SWNS She wore them for the first time under a dress while attending a baby shower, for her sister on July 27, 2024 and thought a bee had flown into her dress after she "felt this burning" on her upper right thigh. Rushing to the bathroom to see what had happened, Molly-May was forced to rip her shorts off after she says the elastane stretchy material had "melted" into her skin. She attended A&E at St Thomas' Hospital, London, the following day where she was told she could be "scarred for life". After complaining to TikTok Shop through the help function on the app, she says she was given just a £10 coupon as compensation. Molly-May, an executive assistant, from Kennington, south London, said: "I felt this burning on my upper bum cheek and side of my leg. "For some reason I thought a bee had got into my dress. "I went to the toilet to see what the hell was going on. "The shorts had melted into my leg. "So I've had to rip them off and I've been left with first and second degree burns. "I'm unable to walk properly at the moment. I tried 3 shapewear bodysuits under my outfit, there was a clear winner, I'm 155 lbs and an Amazon buy gave me back fat "The hospital where I went said I could be scarred for life at this point." Molly-May had only worn the shorts once before briefly, to try them on and make sure they fit, before her sister's baby shower. After taking them off and getting through the rest of the event in pain Molly-May attended hospital the following day to get checked over. 8 She wore them for the first time under a dress while attending a baby shower, for her sister on July 27, 2024 Credit: SWNS 8 Molly-May's second degree burns Credit: SWNS "I thought 'I'll just leave it' but it was agonising and had gotten worse," she said. "When I've been talking to friends and people at work and stuff, they've told me they've bought similar things and said 'we felt really irritated'. "It's just made me overly aware now. "You think 'that's a nice little bargain' but it could leave you like me scarred for life. Closure of private midwife service may lead to rise in free births, group warns
A private midwifery service for Ireland which offered homebirth supports has suddenly closed for financial reasons, saying fewer families than ever can afford their help. The closure of Private Midwives Ireland means homebirths with midwives are now only available through HSE services, which are not in every county yet. The Association for Improvements in the Maternity Services (AIMS) Ireland warned it could lead women trying for free births without medical assistance. Private Midwives Ireland is part of UK-based Private Midwives, which is also closing. 'Unfortunately, the current financial and political climate has made trading conditions exceedingly tough, and it has become increasingly costly to provide the service; whilst at the same time, fewer families can afford our service,' the group said. Births and pregnancy support costs from €6,000, with add-ons available, such as €260 for use of a birthing pool. Other packages included single appointments for €250. The company is contacting all clients, and pledged to reach everyone within 48 hours. We will also aim to bring the business to a close with dignity, fairness and respect for our loyal staff who have been on this journey with us over the past decade. Alternative arrangements will be made for births, it said. Women shared their sadness online as the news spread. 'What a big loss to the birth world. Eternally grateful to Gail from Private Midwives Ireland, who helped to facilitate a magical experience for me and contributed to a fantastic start to life for my homebirth baby six years ago,' one woman said. Maternity advocacy group AIMS Ireland reacted with 'great shock and disappointment' on Wednesday. In a country lacking options and choices for the majority, this is a further blow and will leave many with no alternative but to pursue wild pregnancy and free birth. 'This is a valid choice, however it is not a decision a pregnant woman should ever feel forced to pursue because of a lack of viable alternatives. With our current escalating intervention rates in hospitals, this may be the safer choice now for many hoping to pursue a physiological birth and avoid policy-driven pregnancies, labours, and birth.' AIMS is offering support to women affected. 'A radical overhaul of our hyper-medicalised birth culture is required,' AIMS said, and also called for alternative insurance pathways for midwives.

I thought my Mounjaro sulphur burps weren't anything to worry about until I ended up in hospital – don't make my mistake
Plus, what to do if you find yourself losing weight too quickly JAB IT IN I thought my Mounjaro sulphur burps weren't anything to worry about until I ended up in hospital – don't make my mistake FOR many, Mounjaro has been a miracle weight-loss drug, offering hope and a new lease of life. But as one woman discovered, the side effects that seem manageable on the surface can be a sign of something much more serious. Advertisement 2 Vickie has shared a video on TikTok revealing why she has been in hospital Credit: TikTok/@vickie4567 TikToker Vickie has issued a stark warning after a frightening hospital scare, urging others to listen to their bodies and not ignore the warning signs. The video, shared on TikTok by user 'vickie4567', quickly gained over 91.9k views in just a few hours. In it, Vickie recounts her journey, which began three months ago with the successful use of Mounjaro. A passionate advocate for the medication, she revealed she had managed to lose "four or five stone" while on the 5mg dose. Advertisement Like many on the medication, she had a common, if unpleasant, side effect: sulphur burps, which she admitted to experiencing for many weeks. But a few days ago, those familiar burps were followed by a trip to the hospital. There, after a battery of tests including an IV drip, scans, bloods, and urine, she was given a terrifying diagnosis. Doctors explained that Mounjaro had severely slowed her digestive system. Advertisement They also suspected a serious and life-threatening condition: pancreatitis, an inflammation of the pancreas, which is a known but rare side effect of the drug. The doctors also linked her ongoing diarrhoea, which she had been treating with loperamide, to a possible bowel twist. I went on fat jabs but the hair loss was unbelievable so I quit - I'd rather be chubby with hair than skinny and bald Vickie's sobering realisation came during her hospital stay. "I have been poorly for a long time," she admits, adding that she had been ignoring a number of symptoms, from feeling sick and having stomachaches to constant headaches. Advertisement It was a wake-up call to not dismiss the body's warning signs. Her candid story gained 688 likes and spurred a wave of comments.
