
Ottawa Fire Services called to assist in rescue operation in Brockville, Ont.

Firefighters from Ottawa assisted in a rescue operation in Brockville Wednesday afternoon after a building under construction on Windsor Drive collapsed.
Sources say a man had been trapped, but has now been rescued. Details about any injuries were not immediately available.
Fire crews from Ottawa are part of a provincial task force that can be called on to help other municipalities.
Brockville police are asking residents to avoid the area.
'Brockville Police Service is asking the public to avoid the area of Windsor Drive between Centennial Road and Laurier Blvd. Emergency services are currently working on an active situation. We appreciate your patience,' a post on Facebook said.
