Odds for every team to win the Tallahassee Regional
FSU baseball is back in the NCAA Tournament, earning the No. 9 overall seed and hosting the Tallahassee Regional for the second straight season. They are joined by the No. 2 seed Mississippi State Bulldogs, No. 3 seed Northeastern Huskies, and No. seed 4 Bethune-Cookman Wildcats in the regional, as all four teams are hoping to battle their way to Omaha and the Men's College World Series.
While FSU is the top seed, it won't be easy for them to win the regional. They narrowly beat Bethune-Cookman this season, winning 9-7 in a midweek contest. Northeastern may not play the toughest competition, but they are on a 27-game winning streak and have not lost since April 6. Mississippi State made a coaching change and has turned a corner under interim Justin Parker, going 9-2 under him and looking like a completely different team.
FSU and Bethune-Cookman are set to open the double-elimination tournament Friday at 3 p.m. ET before Mississippi State and Northeastern face off at 7:30 p.m. ET. You can view the full schedule for the tournament here.
Here is a look at the initial odds from FanDuel for each of the teams to win the Tallahassee Regional, as well as a prediction for which team will advance to the Super Regional round.

USC's super regional dreams dashed in season-ending loss to Oregon State
CORVALLIS, Ore. — There's levels to a proper program build. Baby steps have to sometimes be taken, even if everyone involved would like to jump past several of those. Lessons have to be learned. Experiences, both positive and negative, have to be endured. USC suffered through one of those difficult experiences, getting manhandled by national championship contender Oregon State for the second day in a row in the Corvallis Regional final. The Beavers completely shut down USC's offensive attack in the winner-take-all regional final, eliminating the Trojans from the NCAA tournament with a 9-0 victory. Oregon State freshman James DeCremer, making just his second start of the season, held USC to just two hits in five scoreless innings. Then sophomore Eric Segura, who was pulled in the first inning of his start Friday after getting knocked around by Saint Mary's, fired three scoreless frames. Sophomore Laif Palmer closed out the final inning inducing the fifth double play of the day and getting a strikeout after the Trojans managed only their third hit of the game. All three Beaver youngsters fired mid-90s fastballs, something rare amongst the USC pitching staff. The Beavers did it with young arms and a fearsome heart of its lineup is as three of its four big boppers — Aiva Arquette, Gavin Turley and Trent Caraway — all hit home runs. Turley got the Beavers on the board in the first inning chopping a single through the right side to score Easton Talt after he had led off the first inning with a double off the right-center field wall. As Turley waited on deck for his second at bat, Arquette expanded Oregon State's lead to 3-0, launching a 414-foot homer into the left-center field bleachers for his 18th home run of the season but first in front of the Goss Stadium home fans. Undeterred, Turley said anything you can do, I can do better, blasting one 418 feet for a solo shot that left his bat at 110 mph. The Beavers added tallies in each of the next two innings with Caraway launching a parabolic solo home run to left field in the fifth inning for his fifth home run in as many Corvallis Regional games, which earned him the Most Outstanding Player honors for the regional. Burly Jacob Krieg put the finishing touches on the beatdown with a three-run homer in the eighth inning. With the win, Oregon State advances to the super regional round. It will host Florida State in a three-game series next weekend after the Seminoles won the Tallahassee Regional.

Texas A&M will reportedly play rising Big 12 team during the 2025 season
Texas A&M will reportedly play rising Big 12 team during the 2025 season Sources: Texas A&M will play at Oklahoma State as part of its 2025-26 non-conference schedule im year one under @BuckyBasketball . The date is set for November 9th, at Gallagher-Iba Arena. OSU will play a return game at Reed Arena in '26-'27. — Billy Liucci (@billyliucci) June 2, 2025 Texas A&M's 2025 basketball season is poised to be one of the most exciting campaigns in program history, as new head coach Bucky McMillan brings an exciting play style that Aggie fans have not seen since Billy Gillispie led the program almost two decades ago. After bringing in nine players from the transfer portal, the 2025 Aggie basketball team is talented enough to compete for an NCAA Tournament bid in 2026. McMillan's coaching staff is now all but complete. While he will likely add one or two more players from the transfer portal before the season begins, we can now focus on the out-of-conference schedule, which will reportedly include a matchup with Oklahoma State in Gallagher-Iba Arena on Sunday, November 9. The Cowboys are one of the more respectable programs in the Big 12, and despite several down years, they always provide a competitive showing. Like Texas A&M football's home-to-home matchup with Notre Dame, culminating with Week 3's road match against the Irish this coming season, Texas A&M will host Oklahoma State during the 2026-2027 season, providing both teams a chance to protect home court. Like McMillan, Oklahoma State head coach Steve Lutz is one of the up-and-coming young coaches in the country. While his first season resulted in a 17-18 finish, his future is bright after bringing in six transfers this offseason. The Cowboys are expected to be competitive in the Big 12 next season. Two top pitchers in NCAA softball will meet in Women's College World Series semifinals
On Monday night at 7 p.m. ET, fans of college softball will be treated to what is shaping up to be one of the best pitcher's duels of the NCAA Tournament. In the semifinals of the Women's College World Series, No. 2 Oklahoma will face No. 12 Texas Tech. The matchup will probably pit two of the best pitchers in the sport against each other. It's likely that Oklahoma ace Sam Landry will take the circle for the Sooners in a must-win game, while NiJaree Canady — arguably the sport's top arm — will lead the Red Raiders. Advertisement Canady was the National Player of the Year last season at Stanford and in the offseason transferred to Texas Tech, wooed by what is reportedly the richest NIL deal in Division I college softball. According to ESPN, Texas Tech's NIL collective — the Matador Club — signed Canady to a $1,050,024 contract. She had taken Stanford to two straight World Series and aimed to do the same for the Red Raiders. The investment by Texas Tech paid off in a big way. Canady was a unanimous First-Team All-American, the NFCA Pitcher of the Year and the Big 12 Pitcher of the Year. She led the Red Raiders to their first Big 12 Tournament title (where she pitched in every game and didn't allow a run), their first Super Regional appearance, and their first trip to the World Series in Oklahoma City. Canady leads all of Division I softball in victories (32), ERA (0.86) and hits allowed per seven innings (3.61). She's also seventh in strikeouts per seven innings (9.5), seventh in shutouts (7), and fourth in strikeout-to-walk ratio (6.88). She's been an asset at the plate this season too with 11 home runs, 34 RBI and a .306 batting average. And she's done all of this, apparently, while playing with an injured hamstring. Advertisement While Canady has led Texas Tech to unprecedented heights, Landry is trying to keep Oklahoma in its throne atop the sport. The Sooners have won four straight national championships and are now just a few games away from winning a wildly impressive fifth consecutive title. Like Canady, Landry came to Oklahoma via transfer, arriving in the offseason from Louisiana. She was coached there by current Texas Tech skipper Gerry Glasco. This season, with Patty Gasso's Sooners, Landry was named a First Team All-American and the SEC Newcomer of the Year. She's piled up a 25-5 record, a 1.89 ERA and 180 strikeouts. If necessary, Texas Tech and Oklahoma will face off twice on Monday night, but the first game is a must-win for the Sooners as the tournament is still in its double-elimination stage. A Game One victory for the Red Raiders would send them to the finals of the College World Series. A loss would set up a pivotal Game Two, giving the Sooners another chance to defend their title. Advertisement This is where it's worth noting that Canady has won 10 straight games. Her last loss came on May 2 where she pitched just one inning against BYU. She hasn't lost a game where she's pitched multiple innings since April 17. On Monday night, Oklahoma's dynasty is on the line, while Canady has the chance to grow her legend.
