Tetr College of Business has announced full scholarships for Indian influencers with a verified follower count of one million or more. In a move that reflects the rising economic and cultural weight of digital creators, the scholarships will cover up to 100 per cent of the INR two crore tuition fee for Tetr's 2026 Bachelor's in Management and Technology program.
Described by Tetr as one of the world's first scholarship initiatives specifically for digital creators, the program aims to convert social media influence into long-term entrepreneurial success. Recipients will study across seven global locations—including India, UAE, Singapore, Ghana, USA, Argentina, and Europe—and attend courses at institutions like IIT, the National University of Singapore, and Cornell University.
"This scholarship recognises that influence is one of the modern world's most powerful currencies," said Pratham Mittal, founder of Tetr College of Business in a statement. "We have seen content creators grind; building empires from their bedrooms, fighting algorithms to grow their audiences. The next step is teaching them to convert that influence into real value—products, platforms, companies."
The scholarship program is open to creators working across sectors like finance, education, lifestyle, and technology. Tetr says successful applicants will learn to build monetizable business models, launch their own products, and scale their platforms across global markets. According to the college, coursework will be bolstered by mentorship from faculty with ties to institutions such as Harvard, MIT, and INSEAD, and executives from SoftBank, NASA, and Estée Lauder.
Candidates will need to apply through the Tetr College website, submitting a portfolio, verified follower metrics, and a personal statement outlining their entrepreneurial vision. A selection process involving reviews and interviews will follow, with final offers made ahead of the 2026 academic intake.
The initiative follows a record-setting admissions cycle for Tetr's 2025 cohort, which drew over 150,000 applications for just 100 seats. The average admitted student had a SAT score of 1475, and some reportedly chose Tetr over globally ranked institutions like Dartmouth, Imperial, and King's College.
By opening its doors to top-tier digital creators, Tetr appears to be placing social capital on equal footing with traditional academic credentials. The program is designed to equip influencers not just with global exposure, but with the business tools to build companies that endure.

Frauscher begins construction of global manufacturing hub in Mysore, India

Frauscher Sensor Technology India has commenced the construction of a new global manufacturing hub in Mysore, Karnataka. This development is said to highlight the company's commitment to the modernisation of India's railway sector and the government's 'Make in India' initiative. This facility will complement the company's existing manufacturing operations in Austria and is anticipated to be completed by October 2026. The new manufacturing hub will cover an area of 1.55 lakh ft² and is specifically designed to enhance sensor and board production while fostering technological 'innovation' and creating regional employment opportunities. It will feature two levels, with production activities located on the ground floor, while the first floor will accommodate office space, a research and development hub, and two specialised centres of excellence, including the Frauscher Training Centre and the Frauscher Experience Centre. The Frauscher Training Centre will serve as a dedicated venue for external training programmes, allowing railway professionals, partners, and customers to gain practical experience with Frauscher solutions and partner on real-world operational challenges. The Frauscher Experience Centre will showcase the company's advanced solutions, providing visitors with an in-depth understanding of the technology and its practical applications in the real world. Furthermore, the localised R&D hub aims to deliver customised product innovations tailored for the Indian Railways. This initiative is said to further enhance Frauscher's role as a dependable partner in the railway sector, with the ability to serve markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and other emerging global regions from India. Frauscher Sensor Technology India managing director Akhilesh Yadav said: 'This new facility marks a significant step in our long-term strategy to support India's evolving rail ecosystem as well as markets beyond. 'It strengthens our ability to deliver at scale, drive local innovation, and respond faster to market needs. 'Our mission is clear: put operators in control, enhance network safety and efficiency, and build systems that are ready for the future of the Indian railway network.' The Mysore facility will incorporate sustainability features such as 100% wastewater recycling, rainwater harvesting, and groundwater recharge through percolation pits. Additionally, rooftop solar panels will be installed to generate clean energy for the site. In July 2025, Wabtec finalised an agreement to acquire Frauscher Sensor Technology Group for €675m ($794.6m) in cash. This acquisition is intended to enhance Wabtec's Digital Intelligence business by incorporating Frauscher's railway signalling technologies. "Frauscher begins construction of global manufacturing hub in Mysore, India" was originally created and published by Railway Technology, a GlobalData owned brand. Do Kwon pleads guilty to U.S. fraud charges in $40 billion crypto collapse

Do Kwon, the South Korean cryptocurrency entrepreneur behind two digital currencies that lost an estimated $40 billion in 2022, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to two U.S. charges of conspiracy to defraud and wire fraud. Kwon, 33, who co-founded Singapore-based Terraform Labs and developed the TerraUSD and Luna currencies, entered the plea at a court hearing in New York before U.S. District Judge Paul Engelmayer. He had pleaded not guilty in January to a nine-count indictment charging him with securities fraud, wire fraud, commodities fraud and money laundering conspiracy. Accused of misleading investors in 2021 about TerraUSD — a so-called stablecoin designed to maintain a value of $1 — Kwon pleaded guilty to the two counts under an agreement with the Manhattan U.S. Attorney's office, which brought the charges. He faces up to 25 years in prison when Engelmayer sentences him on December 11, though prosecutor Kimberly Ravener said the government had agreed to advocate for a prison term of no more than 12 years provided he accepts responsibility for his crimes. Kwon is one of several cryptocurrency moguls to face federal charges after a slump in digital token prices in 2022 prompted the collapse of a number of companies. Prosecutors alleged that when TerraUSD slipped below its $1 peg in May 2021, he told investors a computer algorithm known as "Terra Protocol" had restored the coin's value. Instead, they said, he arranged for a high-frequency trading firm to secretly buy millions of dollars of the token to artificially prop up its price. Prosecutors said that false claim and others drove retail and institutional investors to buy Terraform products and boost the value of Luna — a more traditional token that fluctuated in value but was closely linked to TerraUSD — to $50 billion by the spring of 2022. In court, Kwon apologized for his conduct. "I made false and misleading statements about why it regained its peg by failing to disclose a trading firm's role in restoring that peg," Kwon said. "What I did was wrong." Kwon agreed in 2024 to pay $80 million as a civil fine and be banned from crypto transactions as part of a $4.55 billion settlement he and Terraform reached with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Kwon has been detained since his extradition from Montenegro late last year. He also faces charges in South Korea. As part of the deal, prosecutors will not oppose Kwon's potential application to be transferred abroad after serving half his U.S. sentence, Ravener said.
