Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell's "A Big Bold Beautiful Journey" Delayed

Yara Sameh
The Sony Pictures release of the Margot Robbie and Colin Farrell-led romantic fantasy 'A Big Bold Beautiful Journey,' is heading to September 19 this year instead of May 9.
Sources close to the production say that a September release was more appealing to the studio, as it's filled with more horror and male-centered titles, allowing the female event movie to stand out.
'A Big Bold Beautiful Journey' is described as 'an imaginative tale of two strangers and the extraordinary emotional journey that connects them.'
Lily Rabe, Jodie Turner-Smith, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and Hamish Linklater also star.
The movie is directed by Kogonada, who also helmed the TV series 'Pachinko' and the sci-fi drama 'After Yang.' 'The Menu' scribe Seth Reiss penned the script.
30West is financing 'A Big Bold Beautiful Journey,' with Sony Pictures releasing the film in theaters globally.
It is produced by Imperative Entertainment's Bradley Thomas and Ryan Friedkin, Seth Reiss and Youree Henley. Executive producers are Kogonada, Ilene Feldman and Ori Eisen.
After Sony Pictures acquire the movie in a bidding war in February 2024 at the European Film Market in Berlin, the studio's motion picture group chairman Tom Rothman described it as 'a project from heaven.'

Sam Mendes' Beatles Biopics Finds Its Writers

Yara Sameh Sam Mendes' Beatles biopics have found their writers. Tony Award winner Jez Butterworth ('Ford v Ferrari,' 'Spectre'), Academy Award winner Peter Straughan ('Conclave,' 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy') and BAFTA and Tony Award winner Jack Thorne ('Adolescence,' 'Enola Holmes') are set to write the screenplays for the four theatrical films from Sony Pictures and Neal Street Productions. The films mark the first time Apple Corps Ltd. and The Beatles – John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr – have granted full life story and music rights for a scripted film. Mendes conceived and will direct the four films, each from a different band member's point of view, intersecting to tell the story of the iconic group. The films will star Harris Dickinson as John Lennon, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney and Joseph Quinn as George Harrison. Sony Pictures will finance and distribute worldwide with full theatrical windows in April 2028. 'The Beatles—A Four-Film Cinematic Event' is a Neal Street production in association with Apple Corps for Sony Pictures. Mendes is producing alongside his Neal Street Productions partner Pippa Harris and Neal Street's Julie Pastor. Alexandra Derbyshire ('Wonka') is also producing. Butterworth's recent screenwriting credits include James Mangold's 'Ford v Ferrari' and 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny.' His other work includes 'Spectre,' 'Black Mass' and 'Edge of Tomorrow.' Butterworth is also an award-winning playwright who wrote 'The Ferryman,' for which he won the Tony for best play, and most recently, 'The Hills of California,' which just received seven Tony nominations including for best play. Both plays were directed by Sam Mendes. Straughan most recently won the Academy Award for his screenplay for Edward Berger's thriller 'Conclave,' starring Ralph Fiennes, John Lithgow, Stanley Tucci and Isabella Rossellini. He previously co-wrote 'Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy' with his late wife, Bridget O'Connor. The screenplay earned them an Academy Award nomination and won the BAFTA for adapted screenplay. His other film credits include 'Our Brand is Crisis' and 'Frank.' For television, Straughan adapted Hilary Mantel's bestselling novel 'Wolf Hall,' which won the BAFTA for best drama series. He also wrote its sequel, 'Wolf Hall: The Mirror and the Light.' Thorne is a BAFTA and Tony Award-winning screenwriter and theatre writer. His recent hit series 'Adolescence,' which he co-created, has garnered widespread acclaim. His film credits include 'The Swimmers,' 'Enola Holmes' and 'Enola Holmes 2,' 'The Aeronauts' and 'Wonder.' His other TV credits include 'Toxic Town,' 'His Dark Materials,' 'Help,' and 'Best Interests.' On the theater side, Thorne wrote the Tony and Olivier Award-winning 'Harry Potter and the Cursed Child,' and most recently 'The Motive and the Cue,' directed by Sam Mendes. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Egypt confirms denial of airspace access to US B-52 bombers Lifestyle Pistachio and Raspberry Cheesecake Domes Recipe News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Sports Former Al Zamalek Player Ibrahim Shika Passes away after Long Battle with Cancer Videos & Features Bouchra Dahlab Crowned Miss Arab World 2025 .. Zoë Kravitz in Talks to Direct Movie "How To Save A Marriage"

Yara Sameh Following her directorial debut on "Blink Twice", Zoë Kravitz looks to have found her next gig. Kravitz is in talks to direct "How to Save a Marriage" for Sony Pictures. Ross Evans penned the script, and Robert Pattinson is producing with partner Brighton McCloskey via their Icki Eneo Arlo banner along with Geoff Shaevitz and Evan Silverberg via Entertainment 360. Plot details are being kept under wraps, and studio sources say the project is still in early development. Evans will also exec produce. As of now, Pattinson, who starred with Kravitz in 2022's "The Batman", is only producing the pic. Sony is high on the project and was aggressive in pursuing it when it hit the market last year. The deal marked a huge sale to a major studio for Evans and at the time showed studios' interest in high-profile packages following the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. While plot details are unknown, sources say Marriage has edgy undertones similar to "Blink Twice" that made that film work, and helped inform the execs' decision to tap Kravitz as director. While still busy on the acting front, she showcased her helming talent with the thriller, released in August 2024 and starring Naomi Ackie and Channing Tatum. The Amazon MGM Studios film earned strong reviews and put Kravitz on the map as a director. On the acting front, Kravitz can be seen next opposite Austin Butler in the Darren Aronofsky thriller "Caught Stealing", which bows this fall. read more New Tourism Route To Launch in Old Cairo Ahmed El Sakka-Led Play 'Sayidati Al Jamila' to Be Staged in KSA on Dec. 6 Mandy Moore Joins Season 2 of "Dr. Death" Anthology Series Don't Miss These Movies at 44th Cairo Int'l Film Festival Today Amr Diab to Headline KSA's MDLBEAST Soundstorm 2022 Festival Arts & Culture Mai Omar Stuns in Latest Instagram Photos Arts & Culture "The Flash" to End with Season 9 Arts & Culture Ministry of Culture Organizes four day Children's Film Festival Arts & Culture Canadian PM wishes Muslims Eid-al-Adha News Egypt confirms denial of airspace access to US B-52 bombers News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Lifestyle Pistachio and Raspberry Cheesecake Domes Recipe News Australia Fines Telegram $600,000 Over Terrorism, Child Abuse Content Arts & Culture Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban's $4.7M LA Home Burglarized Videos & Features Bouchra Dahlab Crowned Miss Arab World 2025 ..
