The ceremony was also graced by the presence of His Excellency President Asif Ali Zardari and His Excellency Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
During the event, General HH Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa met with both leaders, extending the heartfelt greetings and congratulations of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander, and Prime Minister of Bahrain. Centre of Excellence In a significant announcement, the Minister revealed plans to establish the Centre of Excellence for Alternative Sanctions and Open Prisons, a regional hub that will train and qualify professionals involved in implementing alternative sentencing. Since its inception, Bahrain's alternative sentencing and open prison programme has earned recognition on the local, regional, and international levels.
