Call of Duty Black Ops 7 trailer sneak peek but fans 'will be cancelling pre-order'

Call of Duty Black Ops 7 has been given a release date but the gameplay has left fans divided Call of Duty fans have been given a sneak peek of the Black Ops 7 gameplay - but some gaming enthusiasts have been left disappointed by the drop, with some even vowing to "cancel" their pre-orders. ‌ The Black Ops 7 trailer dropped during the Gamescom's Opening Night Live event on Tuesday, August 19, and revealed that the game is set in various locations, including Nicaragua, Los Angeles, and Angola. ‌ Back here in the UK, the much-anticipated game is slated for release on November 14, 2025, on PlayStation, Xbox and PC. Excitingly, though, fans can get an early taste by participating in the open beta this October. ‌ Activision has announced that the Call of Duty Black Ops 7 open beta will commence from 6pm BST UK time on Sunday, October 5, and conclude at the same time on Wednesday, October 8. Those who pre-order the game can access the beta earlier. The Black Ops 7 early access beta begins at 6pm BST UK time on Thursday, October 2. This gives pre-order customers a full 72-hours of practice before the open beta starts. Pre-order customers will also be treated to a range of bonus items for use in Black Ops and Call of Duty Warzone. However, not everyone is delighted with what they have seen so far. While the official Call of Duty X account urged tech heads to "embrace the madness" as "this is a whole new kind of mind game," not everyone was on board. One gamer brazenly replied: "I speak for ALL people that pre-ordered black ops 7 that after watching this trailer we will be cancelling the pre-order." ‌ Another user agreed, writing: "Anyone who is dumb enough to pre-order any COD game made in the last 6 years gets the garbage game they wanted". A third said: "From the last 9 COD games that have been released, why would you even preorder this c***? Black Ops 6 was free on gamepass and I wanted a refund for wasting my time on it. Surprised my PC didn't catch something from that trash a** game." ‌ But some others were quick to jump to the game's defence. Replying to the original disgruntled fan, someone said: "I speak for all people when I say don't listen to this guy. COD is back". A second challenged: "Who's we?" while a third asserted: "See you when the game comes out". Regarding the actual game, Black Ops 7 appears set to offer something rather unique compared to earlier entries. The cooperative campaign includes endgame material that allows players to join forces against "overwhelming odds". ‌ "As you push deeper into the story, you'll master new abilities to deploy in the Campaign's epic Endgame, where you'll reach new levels of power to survive overwhelming odds in a brand-new PvE experience," reads the official description. "This is the culmination of the Co-Op Campaign, where each Endgame run is a new step in the power journey as your squad is forced to adapt under pressure throughout all of Avalon." ‌ Character development from the campaign carries over to Warzone and multiplayer modes (and the reverse applies), allowing players to enhance weapons and fulfil player objectives within the story portion. For multiplayer action, Black Ops 7 debuts with 16 classic 6v6 battlegrounds available from launch. Three battlegrounds make their return from Black Ops 2, whilst the remaining 13 represent completely fresh additions to the franchise. The title also arrives with two entirely new large-scale arenas, futuristic arsenal and much more.

When is the next Fortnite update? Release date for update 37.10 and what to expect

The next Fortnite update is set to arrive sooner rather than later, and with it will come a few bug fixes to ensure the game continues to run smoothly. Here's what you need to know about Fortnite update 37.10. Fortnite is gearing up for the first update of its new season, promising significant bug fixes (not the type you're imagining), and a handful of fresh quests to keep players engaged. ‌ We're currently in the midst of the bug takeover in Fortnite, and things are shaping up nicely. It's often challenging to predict how successful a season will be from its initial weeks, but with the previous season offering the Super Battle Pass and the Blitz Royale mode, it certainly has high standards to meet. ‌ So far, we've been fortunate – the Shock 'N Awesome Battle Pass is brimming with cosmetics that players are eager to get their hands on, and the official debut of the Mighty Morpin' Power Rangers has resulted in a massive island takeover, with Tokusatsu heroes battling each other in unplanned moments of outfit coordination. It's been enjoyable so far, and although the Bug Queen may not be remembered as one of the game's better bosses, we're still having a blast. ‌ However, change is already looming, with a new Fortnite update rapidly approaching to ensure the game is equipped with the necessary files to continue progressing. So, when is the next Fortnite update? Here's what you need to know. When is the next Fortnite update? The forthcoming Fortnite update is scheduled for Tuesday, 26 August at 1am PDT / 4am EDT / 9am BST. This date has been confirmed by a tweet from leaker @Hypex, and the time is an estimation based on the start times of previous server shutdowns, like for update 36.30 and the 36.20 downtime. We can expect more downtime to accommodate this update into the game, anticipated to last between two and three hours. This will take the launch up update 37.10 to around 4am PDT / 7am EDT / 12pm BST. What's new in the next Fortnite update? At present, not much is known about the first update of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4, especially as the update that came before it delivered so much new content in one fell swoop – but there are a few snippets we can glean thanks to a few leakers in the Fortnite community. Here's what we know about Fortnite update 37.10: via @FortniteStatus via @iFireMonkey ‌ via @ShiinaBR via @Hypex There's not a lot that we know about the incoming gameplay changes to the update, but this certainly indicates that Fortnite is going to become a little easier to use with a new demo and thin client to get stuck into. If you're holding out for the new Kai Cenat Icon skin, you're going to have to wait until 37.20, but maybe it'll be worth the wait if rumours of the new 'companion' cosmetic item arriving at the same time are to be believed.

A group who perform witch dances around Lincolnshire have disrobed from their cloaks to bare almost all in a new Boston Dancing Witches, who formed in 2024 to promote self-love and body positivity through movement, followed in the footsteps of the classic film Calendar Girls by releasing their own 2026 charity Reynolds, 64, from Boston, who runs the group, said members of the group use crystal balls, spell books, brooms and wizard's hats to obscure parts of their Reynolds added that since being set up last May, the group has already grown to "14 witches, two wizards and various people working behind the scenes". She said: "I set up the group as I've always been interested in anything to do with witchcraft, so last year I put a post out on Facebook asking if anyone wanted to get involved, and it turns out they did."We get together every Thursday evening and chat, craft, eat cake and dance and the ages of people involved range from 12 to 88 years old – although those included in the calendar are all adults."We're just ordinary people that are now a family who want to inspire other people to get involved and express themselves in a different way. Anyone can join us."She said they have performed at village shows, children's parties, care homes and even do flash mobs.
