Shivpal Singh, the 29-year-old Olympian from Tokyo, tested positive for banned substances in an out-of-competition test earlier this year, potentially facing an eight-year ban.
"Disappointed? I don't know. But I'm really pissed off. So stupid," Bartonietz told PTI, expressing his frustration with the athlete's actions.
"It shows that you don't trust in this process. All those who are doping don't trust that they can reach the top by normal nature of training," he added.

Bartonietz particularly criticized Shivpal's actions given his family background in javelin throwing, with his father, two uncles, and younger brother all being javelin throwers.
"It makes me so angry that they are promoting javelin throw everywhere and coming from a family of javelin throwers and then doing these things," Bartonietz stated, adding, "This is like cheating.

, Annu (Rani) and Shivpal, they were at the top and he was travelling around them. At the same time, no one was coaching them. It was my job to come and to coach them. So Shivpal was with Uwe, but sometimes we worked together," he recounted.
Bartonietz described how his focus shifted to Neeraj Chopra after the athlete's surgery, while Uwe took responsibility for Shivpal and others.
"After Neeraj's surgery, I started to work with Neeraj and coach Uwe was then fully responsible for Shivpal, Annu and the others. Even if you're not a personal coach directly for him...You trusted actually, and you think he trusts you. It means (doping), he didn't trust you anyway."
The German expert also mentioned disciplinary issues with Shivpal during their time working together.
"So, even when he (Shivpal) did not come for training four times after he had an evening where he was no more able to train the next day."
Bartonietz concluded by expressing concern about athletes' mentality regarding doping, sharing an anecdote about a Kazakh high jumper.
"I had a Kazakh high jumper come to me in Germany and said how can you expect me to be dope free when all the others do it? This is a wrong mindset that these young people have," he stated.

Mehul Choksi's bank accounts, shares attached by Sebi over ₹2.1 crore dues
Markets regulator Sebi has ordered the attachment of bank accounts and shares and mutual fund holdings of absconding diamantaire Mehul Choksi to recover dues totalling ₹2.1 crore in a case of violation of insider trading rules in the shares of Gitanjali Gems. The latest move followed a demand notice issued to Choksi on May 15, warning attachment of assets as well as bank accounts if he failed to make the payment within 15 days. The demand notice came after Choksi failed to pay the fine imposed by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in January 2022 in a case of violation of insider trading rules in the shares of Gitanjali Gems Ltd. Choksi, who was the chairman and managing director as well as part of promoter group of Gitanjali Gems, is the maternal uncle of Nirav Modi. Both are facing charges of defrauding state-owned Punjab National Bank (PNB) of more than ₹14,000 crore. Both Choksi and Modi fled India after the PNB scam came to light in early 2018. In April, Choksi was arrested in Belgium following an extradition request by Indian probe agencies. He was located in Belgium last year when he went there for getting medical treatment. He had been staying in Antigua since 2018 after leaving India. Modi was arrested by the Scotland Yard Police in March 2019 and is currently in jail in that country. In an attachment notice dated June 4, Sebi said the pending dues of ₹2.1 crore include the initial fine of ₹1.5 crore and interest of ₹60 lakh. To recover the dues, Sebi asked all the banks, depositories -- CDSL and NSDL -- and mutual funds not to allow any debit from the accounts of Choksi. However, credits have been permitted. Further, Sebi has directed the banks to attach all accounts, including lockers, held by the defaulter. Initiating the recovery proceedings, Sebi said there is sufficient reason to believe that Choksi may dispose of the amounts in the bank accounts, mutual fund folios and securities in the demat accounts held with the depositories and "realisation of the amount due under the certificate would, in consequence, be delayed or obstructed". In its order passed in January 2022, the regulator imposed a penalty of ₹1.5 crore on Choksi and restrained him from the securities market for one year. Sebi had found that Choksi communicated unpublished price sensitive information to one Rakesh Girdharlal Gajera, who sold his entire shareholding of 5.75 per cent in Gitanjali Gems in December 2017 with the intention of avoiding loss ahead of any event which may lead to disclosure of fraudulent issuance of LoUs (letter of undertaking) to Gitanjali Group and magnitude in public domain. It was noted that fraudulent LoUs were issued on behalf of entities belonging to the Gitanjali Group, including GGL. "Noticee no. 1 (Choksi) was found to have communicated UPSI (unpublished price sensitive information) to Noticee no. 2 (Gajera) without any underlying legal obligation or any legitimate purpose," Sebi had said in its final order. Through such activities, the two persons had violated the provisions of the PIT (Prohibition of Insider Trading) rules. In May 2023, Sebi sent a notice to Choksi directing him to pay ₹5.35 crore in a case pertaining to fraudulent trading in the shares of Gitanjali Gems.

Imane Khelif Skips Eindhoven as Boxing Body Enforces Sex Verification
Olympic champion Imane Khelif is skipping the Eindhoven Box Cup in the Netherlands less than a week after World Boxing announced mandatory sex testing for all athletes. The Algerian boxer, who won gold at the Paris Games last summer amid scrutiny over her eligibility, did not register in time for the event before applications closed on Thursday. The decision of Imane's exclusion is not ours. We regret it, tournament media director Dirk Renders told The Associated Press. The 26-year-old Khelif had intended to return to international competition at the Eindhoven tournament this weekend before World Boxing announced its new sex testing policy last Friday. The governing body specifically mentioned Khelif, saying she'd have to screened to be approved to fight at any upcoming events, including the Eindhoven Box Cup. Eindhoven mayor Jeroen Dijsselbloem criticized World Boxing's decision. As far as we are concerned, all athletes are welcome in Eindhoven. Excluding athletes based on controversial gender tests' certainly does not fit in with that, Dijsselbloem wrote in a letter addressed to the Dutch Boxing Federation and International Boxing Federation. We are expressing our disapproval of this decision today and are calling on the organization to admit Imane Khelif after all. Khelif won a gold medal at the Paris Olympics last summer amid international scrutiny on her and Taiwan's Lin Yu-ting, another gold medal winner. The previous governing body for Olympic boxing, the Russian-dominated International Boxing Association, had disqualified both fighters from its 2023 world championships after claiming they failed unspecified eligibility tests. But the IBA was banished for decades of misdeeds and controversy. The IOC ran the past two Olympic boxing tournaments in its place and it applied the sex eligibility rules used in previous Olympics. Khelif and Lin were eligible to compete under those standards. World Boxing has since been provisionally approved as the boxing organizer at the 2028 Los Angeles Games and has faced pressure from boxers and their federations to create sex eligibility standards. Its president, Boris van der Vorst, apologized after Khelif was singled out in the governing body's announcement last week. Khelif planned to defend her welterweight gold medal at the LA Games, but some boxers and their federations have already spoken out against her inclusion. Khelif won gold at the Eindhoven event last year, defeating Australia's Marissa Williamson-Pohlman in the final in a warmup to the Paris Olympics. The Algerian also competed at the Tokyo Games in 2021 in the lightweight division, losing in the quarterfinals to eventual gold medalist Kellie Harrington of Ireland.
