Watch: Kids Remove Nuts And Bolts From Rs 422-Crore Patna Flyover Like It's A Toy

Last Updated: The children, as seen in the viral video, were stealing nuts and bolts from Patna's new double-decker flyover. Soon after Bihar got its first double-decker flyover, an unsettling video surfaced online. The video showed a group of children parts on the newly-constructed bridge. The bridge was recently built to decongest traffic in the state capital, but the video has now raised concerns over infrastructure safety and supervision. An Instagram user shared the video on their social media page, saying that the incident sparked 'serious concerns over public safety and infrastructure security". In the video, which seems to have been captured by a bystander, a group of children can be seen tampering with nuts and bolts of the newly constructed bridge in broad daylight. The scene escalated after the children fled from the spot. The camera then panned to reveal the items they had stolen from the structure. 🚨 Patna's double-decker flyover was opened on June 11, and these kids are seen removing its nuts and bolts. A Serious Safety Hazard! They don't appear local, possibly Bangladeshi! — Gems (@gemsofbabus_) June 13, 2025 The incident has triggered a storm of reactions online. Taking to the comment section, one user wrote, 'Thore din Ruko, bridge bhi nahi dikhega (Wait for some time, they will 'steal' the bridge too)." Another user quipped, saying, 'Humara Bihar badal raha hai (Our Bihar is changing)." As of now, the local administration and law enforcement agencies have not released an official statement. More on Patna's Double-decker Bridge Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the Rs 422-crore double-decker flyover built to decongest the Ashok Rajpath corridor that connects a wide array of popular locations in areas such as NIT, PMCH, and Patna University, stated an Indian Express report. Completed in just over three years by Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam Limited, the two-lane elevated corridor runs along a 2.2 km stretch from Kargil Chowk to the Science College. The new flyover has two separate decks, one for each one-way road, allowing for added passage for commuters, students, and patients travelling to the area, as well as connecting with the upcoming metro in Patna. Who Is Ashish Lata Ramgobin, Mahatma Gandhi's Descendant, Jailed For Forgery?

Last Updated: In a targeted post about US President Donald Trump, Hans Zimmer reflected on the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi. It has been exactly four years since Ashish Lata Ramgobin, the great-granddaughter of Mahatma Gandhi, was sentenced to seven years in jail. She was found guilty in a Rs 3.22 crore fraud and forgery case by the Durban Specialised Commercial Crime Court. While it has been a long time since the trial took place, the case has once again resurfaced online, grabbing unexpected attention because of Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer. But where's the catch? Zimmer recently took to his Instagram stories and launched a scathing remark on US President Donald Trump. Claiming that the Trump administration is likely to plant violent participants during peaceful protests, Zimmer urged the protesters to follow non-violent methods and sit down on the ground. In the post, the music producer made reference to Gandhi, urging protestors to demonstrate non-violence and maintain peace despite the President's attempts to hamper the situation. In line with this post, the story of Mahatma Gandhi's great-granddaughter has been making headlines. The Case Of Mahatma Gandhi's Great-Granddaughter Daughter of noted human rights activist Ela Gandhi and late Mewa Ramgovind, Lata Ramgobin was accused of duping a businessman named SR Maharaj, who provided her with an advance of Rs 3.22 million for allegedly clearing import and customs duties for a non-existent consignment from India. He was also promised to share the profits. It was informed that Lata Ramgobin met Maharaj, the director of New Africa Alliance Footwear Distributors, in August 2015. His company was engaged in importing, manufacturing, and selling clothing, linen, and footwear, further also providing finance to other companies on a profit share basis. After the trial began in 2015, Brigadier Hangwani Mulaudzi of the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) stated that Lata forged the invoice and the documents to convince potential investors about three containers of linens being shipped from India. Speaking on the case, NPA spokesperson Natasha Kara told PTI that Lata was experiencing financial difficulties in paying for import costs and customs, and she needed the money to clear the goods and the harbour. 'She advised him (Maharaj) that she needed the money. To convince him, she showed him what she claimed was a signed purchase order for the goods. Later that month, she sent time what seemed to be a NetCare invoice and delivery note as proof that the goods were delivered and payment was imminent," she added, further stating that Lata had just sent him a payment confirmation leading to an agreement for a loan; however, Maharaj ended up filing criminal charges after he found a document were fake and NetCare had no arrangements with her. During the hearing, Lata was also refused permission to appeal both the conviction and the sentence by the court. Lata Ramgobin was the founder and executive director of the Participative Development Initiative at the NGO International Centre for Non-Violence and was like many other descendants of Gandhi who are also human rights activists. Her mother, Ela Gandhi, was particularly recognised internationally and had received national honours from both India and South Africa. From liquor dens to law and order: BMP-4 ignites police dreams for Dumraon women

1 2 Buxar: Each morning in the villages of Banjhu Dera, Noniya Dera and Nandan near the Bihar Military Police-4 (BMP-4) campus in Dumraon, a group of young women gather with a shared goal – to join the Bihar Police. Among them are Chanchal Kumari and Arti Kumari, joined by nearly 30 peers, all undergoing daily training with focus and determination. These villages, once associated with the illicit liquor trade, are now witnessing a quiet shift. The inspiration behind it – women constables posted at BMP-4, whose presence and discipline have sparked ambition among local youth. The change began in 2012 with the establishment of BMP-4. The momentum grew stronger with the launch of the Bihar Military Police Training Centre (BMPTC) in 2020. What was once a region with minimal police presence is now experiencing renewed safety, structure and aspiration. "The presence of both institutions has not only boosted security but also opened up employment opportunities in the police department," said a local resident. Sunil Kumar, ADG (special branch) and a native of the Dumraon subdivision, credited the increased police visibility with inspiring local youth to pursue careers in law enforcement – bringing not only discipline but also economic stability to their families. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Quito: Ecuatorianos: generen un segundo ingreso con Amazon CFD. Empezar ahora Registrarse Undo The ripple effect has reached the local economy. Recruitment drives and training activities have created new demand for housing, goods and services. "I used to be unemployed," said a vendor outside the training centre. "Now I earn around Rs 1,000 a day," he added. Ajay Kumar Pandey, commandant of BMP-4 and BMP-18, said, "There is a marked shift in mindset and law and order in the area. The combined strength of BMP-4 and BMP-18 stands at 1,660 constables, including 523 women." Spread over 200 acres, BMP-4 is a reflection of structured development with well-planned roads and modern lighting. Its foundation stone was laid in 2002 by then Bihar DGP R R Prasad. The journey was not without challenges. The construction of BMP-4 involved the acquisition of large tracts of land, including portions of the Haryana Cattle Breeding Farm. Bringing the facility to Dumraon required concerted efforts from both R R Prasad and Sunil Kumar, who was then the SP of Buxar. "The institution stands as a symbol of progress and aspiration for the region's youth," said Bhashmakar Dubey, a resident of Dumraon town. And for the young women training nearby, it represents something even greater – a path to empowerment and a break from the past. Follow more information on Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad here .
