Trade Arabia15-02-2025

Dubai South Properties has announced the launch of Beachfront Gates, an exclusive apartment development in Dubai South's Residential District.
This new project comes in response to the overwhelming demand for apartments in Dubai South, following the highly successful debut of South Living, which tapped into the growing appeal of the area as a premier destination for modern living.
Beachfront Gates comprises two residential towers, both offering uninterrupted breathtaking views of the beachfront community and lagoon within the master development, said a statement from Dubai South Properties.
Currently, only one of the two towers - Beachfront Gates Tower 2 - is available for sale, that features 157 spacious units, including one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, along with a limited number of podium units that offer large terraces.
According to the developer, the project offers thoughtfully designed apartments with families in mind. These include expansive living rooms, en-suite bathrooms, closed kitchens, and large balconies and windows to maximize natural light and ventilation.
Family-friendly amenities at the podium level include dedicated kids' play areas and entertainment zones. Additionally, the project will feature separate swimming pools for adults and kids along with a variety of sports and recreational facilities at the podium decks, ensuring a well-rounded lifestyle for all residents, it stated.
On the launch, CEO Nabil Al Kindi said: "The successful launch and sell-out of our South Living project confirms Dubai South's position amongst the top locations by end-users and investors. This positive market sentiment has encouraged us to launch the Beachfront Gates development."
"With its strategic location near Al Maktoum International Airport, spacious units, high return on investment, seamless connectivity, and state-of-the-art amenities we anticipate great response by investors," he stated.
Currently, The Residential District is home to over 25,000 residents who enjoy its distinctive lifestyle, range of amenities, and several gated residential communities with apartments and townhouses, said the developer.

Dubai South Properties launches 550-unit South Square

Dubai South Properties has launched South Square, a new luxury residential development located along Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, just minutes from the recently announced new terminal at Al Maktoum International Airport. The S4 Tower within the project was completely sold out within just three hours, the developer said. The project reinforces Dubai South's vision of creating integrated, people-centric communities and comes in response to strong demand from investors and end-users drawn to the area's growing appeal, it said. South Square is a community offering over 550 apartments in a mix of one-, two-, and three-bedrooms layouts. Elegantly designed with a focus on wellbeing and convenience, the community blends modern architecture with wellness-inspired amenities such as landscaped outdoor spaces, seed farms, walking trails, scenic water features, a yoga deck, multi-age fitness and leisure zones, as well as essential retail, dining outlets, and co-working spaces. Designed for families and individuals alike, South Square promotes meaningful connections between people, nature, and healthy living - delivering a residential experience that reflects the evolving expectations of today's urban residents. Prices for units start at AED1.1 million, with completion scheduled for Q4 2028. Nabil Al Kindi, CEO of Dubai South Properties, said: 'In the past few years, we have witnessed a sharp increase in demand for residential options in Dubai South, driven by its strategic location, modern infrastructure, and exceptional connectivity to the rest of the city. South Square is our response to this momentum—offering spacious homes, wellness-focused amenities, and in proximity to Al Maktoum International Airport and key roads. This project, like all our communities, is designed not just for living, but for enhancing quality of life through value-driven spaces focused on wellness and human connection.'

Al Maktoum Airport work on schedule, key contracts soon

The development of the Al Maktoum International Airport (AMIA) in Dubai is progressing well and major contracts are likely to be awarded this year, said Eng Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman, Dubai Aviation City Corporation. "Since the official endorsement of the Al Maktoum International Airport (AMIA) master plan by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in April 2024, and in full alignment with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, we have been moving decisively to deliver this strategic national project on schedule. Led by Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP), the entity entrusted with the design and execution of this transformative airport programme, contracts have already been awarded for the site enabling works and the construction of the second runway, he said at a press conference at the Airport Show in Dubai. Several major packages required for the first phase of the project — including the Automated People Mover (APM) and the Baggage Handling System (BHS) — are currently in the tendering stage, with contracts expected to be awarded later this year. Additionally, the terminal substructure, early 132kV substations, and district cooling plants are the next packages to be tendered this year, laying the foundation for the subsequent phases of delivery. This ambitious project is a cornerstone of the Dubai Economic Agenda 2033, driving long-term economic growth, fostering innovation, and reinforcing Dubai's global competitiveness in aviation and beyond, said Eng Al Zaffin. AMIA will serve as a key enabler of progress for Dubai's aviation sector and the wider economy, positioning the emirate to remain at the forefront of global aviation for years to come, he said.
