Zoom out: While the gap between the Dodgers and Marlins is historic, the reigning champs are far outspending most other teams, too. She shut down a CBS interviewer's attempt to delve into their story during an interview about Belichick's book. She's tried to put PR distance between Belichick and his defensive coordinator … who happens to be his son, Steve. She's asked to be included on all work-related emails.
None of this is wrong or even improper, but — despite what Hudson wants to believe — it's all newsworthy, given North Carolina's all-in gamble that Belichick can return (bring?) Tar Heel football to relevance.
Maybe this is giving North Carolina officials and boosters pause, maybe it's not. Maybe this will all be worth the publicity headaches, maybe it won't. This much is certain: Belichick and Hudson are running the America-in-2025 publicity playbook the way Tom Brady used to run the Patriots' offense.

Two Lakers preseason games will be on national television
A little over six weeks from now, the Los Angeles Lakers will open their preseason schedule for the 2025-26 NBA season. That schedule will become a bit hectic, as it features a set of back-to-back games and a stretch of four games in six days, but it will give fans an opportunity to see the intriguing roster the team has put together before wins and losses start to officially count. Two of those preseason contests will be shown nationwide on ESPN, which will allow Lakers fans outside of the greater Los Angeles area to tune in live. The team's Oct. 5 matchup against the Golden State Warriors and its Oct. 15 game against the Dallas Mavericks will be televised on the network. These are obviously two marquee matchups. The first will feature Stephen Curry, and the second will give Luka Doncic the opportunity to take on his former teammates, as well as allow LeBron James to take the court against former teammates Anthony Davis, D'Angelo Russell and Max Christie. The Lakers' regular season begins on Oct. 21 at Arena versus the Warriors. That game will be shown on NBC. Golden State Warriors jersey history - No. 20 - Ekpe Udoh (2010-12)
The Golden State Warriors have had over 600 players don the more than 60 jersey numbers used by their players over the more than 75 years of existence the team has enjoyed in its rich and storied history. Founded in 1946 during the Basketball Association of America (BAA -- a precursor league of the NBA) era, the team has called home the cities of Philadelphia, San Francisco, Oakland, and even San Diego. To commemorate the players who wore those numbers, Warriors Wire is covering the entire history of jersey numbers and the players who sported them since the founding of the team. For this article, we begin with the 23rd of 29 players who wore the No. 20 jersey for the Warriors. That player would be Golden State big man alum Ekpe Udoh. After ending his college career at Baylor, Udoh was picked up with the sixth overall selection of the 2010 NBA Draft by the Dubs. The Edmond, Oklahoma native would play parts of the first two seasons of his pro career with Golden State, coming to an end when he was dealt to the Milwaukee Bucks in 2012. Celtic's lack of deals 'not my decision'
Manager Brendan Rodgers insists the failure to strengthen Celtic's squad for their Champions League play-off with Kairat was "not my decision" and concedes that he has to "accept where it's at". The Scottish champions - heavy favourites to progress - were listless in being held to a goalless draw by their Kazakhstan counterparts. Now they must travel more than 3,500 miles for next Tuesday's second leg, just short of the Chinese border, knowing they need a far better showing if they are to return to the top table of continental competition this season. Celtic have recruited seven players this summer, paying fees for Benjamin Nygren, Hayato Inamura, Shin Yamada and Callum Osmand, with Kieran Tierney and Ross Doohan arriving on frees and Jahmai Simpson-Pusey on loan. Only Nygren and Tierney started on Wednesday, while the likes of Nicolas Kuhn and Kyogo Furuhashi - who starred in the Champions League last term - have been sold and not replaced, while Jota is out injured long term. "We need to improve the squad," Rodgers said. "There's been clarity around that for a long time. Supporters see that.
