Calgary police are investigating a crash in the city's southeast last month that killed an 83-year-old pedestrian.
Police say the victim was hit by a Ford F-150 in the intersection of 31 Street and 17 Avenue S.E. at 2:15 p.m. on Sunday, June 20.
Investigators determined the F-150 hit the woman as it turned right from northbound 31 Street onto eastbound 17 Avenue S.E.
'After the traffic signal turned green, the truck proceeded to turn,' police said in a Friday news release. 'It is believed the woman entered into the path of the truck and was struck.'
The 83-year-old was taken to hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.
The driver of the F-150 wasn't injured. Police don't believe speed, alcohol or drugs were factors in the crash.
Anyone with information or dash-cam footage of the collision is asked to reach out to Calgary police at 403-266-1234.
