Bigg Boss 18 participant and actress Shilpa Shirodkar 's daughter Anoushka Ranjit turned heads when she made a rare appearance on national television as she came to visit her mother in the house-based reality show.
Besides this, the young lady occasionally makes her presence known in social media posts shared by her aunt, Namrata Shirodkar, as well as cousins Sitara and Gautam Ghattamaneni. In this article, we will learn a little more about her.
Who is Anoushka Ranjit?
Born in 2003, Anoushka Ranjit is the daughter of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shirodkar and her UK-based banker husband Aparesh Ranjit. The couple had tied the knot in 2000.
For the uninitiated, Shilpa took a hiatus from films soon after her marriage, when she relocated to London and started her family. It wasn't until 13 years later that the actress resumed work and relocated back to Mumbai.
Anoushka Ranjit's educational qualifications
Anoushka Ranjit pursued her high school diploma from the North London Collegiate School Dubai. She then bagged an MA Honors degree in International Relations and Modern History from the University of St Andrews.
Currently, she's pursuing a course in law from the University of Law in London.
Besides her academic track record, Anoushka Ranjit also happens to be a young entrepreneur at the age of 22. She is the co-founder of Pulse Creative Collective, a student-run company providing event services based in St Andrews, London.
This collective hosts numerous community-driven events, radio shows, magazines, and other creative endeavors within a span of less than a year.
When it comes to her social media presence, Anoushka Ranjit appears to be quite an experimentalist when it comes to her fashion choices.
Much like her cousin and Mahesh Babu 's daughter, Sitara Ghattamaneni, Anoushka has also showcased a flair for unmatched styling and versatile outfits.
Anoushka Ranjit's close family relations
Additionally, her social media is also proof of her close and loving bond with her family members, including her aunt and uncle, Namrata Shirodkar and Mahesh Babu, as well as her cousins, Sitara and Gautam, and parents, Shilpa Shirodkar and Aparesh Ranjit.
The 22-year-old is also an avid traveler, and it is often that she shares glimpses of her many vacations, which are either solo trips or joined by her family members.

Delhi High Court to examine if Centre has power to order cuts in Udaipur Files movie

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday (July 30, 2025) asked the Centre if it had the authority to pass an order directing six cuts in the film Udaipur Files-Kanhaiya Lal Tailor Murder, while exercising revisional powers. 'You have to exercise the powers within the four corners of the statute. You can't go beyond that,' a Bench of Chief Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela said. The court posed the question after being informed that the Centre, while exercising its revisional powers under the Cinematograph Act, had suggested six cuts to the producers of the movie, in addition to a disclaimer. The court was also informed that the film has been recertified, but not issued to the producers, because the matter is pending in the High Court. The court was hearing a plea by Mohammed Javed, one of the accused in the Kanhaiya Lal murder case, objecting to the release of the film on the ground that it would prejudice his case during the trial. Senior advocate Maneka Guruswamy, representing Mr. Javed, submitted that six witnesses have been examined till now in the case and 160 witnesses remain. 'I was 19 years old when I was arrested. I am Accused No. 8 in the trial. I was released on bail by the Rajasthan High Court because there was no connection between me and the allegations. I am a citizen of this country and am entitled to a fair trial,' Ms. Guruswamy said. 'My right to a fair trial is jeopardised by the release of the film,' she argued. While Ms. Guruswamy concluded her arguments, the submissions of Additional Solicitor-General Chetan Sharma, who was representing the Centre and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), remained inconclusive and the court said it would continue the proceedings on August 1. Besides Mr. Javed's plea, another petition has been filed by Jamiat Ulema-i-Hind president Maulana Arshad Madani. It could not be heard due to the non-availability of the counsel. Kanhaiya Lal, an Udaipur-based tailor in Rajasthan, was murdered in June 2022, allegedly by Mohammad Riyaz and Mohammad Ghous, for sharing a social media post in support of former BJP leader Nupur Sharma after her controversial comments on Prophet Mohammed. The trial is pending before the special NIA court in Jaipur.

Bigg Boss 18's Shrutika Arjun Reacts As Chum Darang Unfollows Her On Instagram

The Bigg Boss fame shared that there was no fight between the two, and Chum Darang's action came as a surprise to her. Bigg Boss 18 fans were left in shock when Shrutika Arjun and Chum Darang's friendship fell apart, resulting in Chum Darang unfollowing the former on Instagram. The duo who was once celebrated for their close bond is no longer in touch anymore. The digital move quickly caught fans attention and sparked rumours about a possible fallout. After numerous speculations, Shrutika finally decided to open up about this matter. During an interview with Tellymasala, the Bigg Boss fame shared that there was no fight between the two, and Chum's action came as a surprise to her. 'I felt very bad. There was no fight, nothing. Just two or three days before it happened, I tried calling Chum. I was hurt. Arjun was with me, my son was there, my parents, my friends, and even my other Bigg Boss friends messaged me and checked in on me," Shrutika revealed while saying one needs to put in efforts to maintain a relationship. Although Shrutika remained tight-lipped on detailing specific reasons behind the fallout, it was evident from her statement that she felt immense pain and disappointment. Her emphasis further revealed Shrutika and Chum's friendship was built on one-sided efforts. The pair's friendship and genuine bond were cherished during their time at Bigg Boss 18, and they quickly became a fan-favourite pair for their supportive nature and candid conversations. Hence, this sudden digital move left fans wondering whether it is a temporary misunderstanding or a deeper crack in their friendship. While Shrutika was eliminated from Bigg Boss 18 a few weeks before the grand finale, Chum secured her spot among the front runners and ended the show in the fifth position. Previously during an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Shrutika was asked if she was in touch with Chum after the show, to which Shrutika replied, 'We are connected on WhatsApp. She is busy and is receiving offers. I am happy for her because work is worship. Being busy is the best thing, and I have told Chum that I'll always be there with her." After the fallout, Chum did not respond to any speculation or make a public statement. However, fans are still waiting for clarity or a possible reunion between the pair. (Right) Director SP Nimbawat(Photo: X and Instagram) Filmmaker SP Nimbawat (known for helming Kabbadi, 2018) confirmed the project, adding that Raja's family had given their consent. Speaking about the film, tentatively titled Honeymoon in Shillong, the filmmaker tells us, 'Dil mein dard to sabhi ke tha; this is one of the biggest subjects in recent times, and if not me someone else would have made the film. It's a complete package of relationship, marriage, murder, adventure and the entire nation has followed it.' Earlier, Raja's brothers Sachin and Vipin told PTI, 'We gave our consent for the upcoming film on the murder case. We believe that if we do not bring the story of [our] brother's murder on the big screen, people will not know who was right.' The brothers also want to 'present the correct image of Meghalaya' through the film. Meanwhile, Nimbawat says the film's broader storyline is ready: 'I have prepared the broader storyline and we are now bringing scriptwriters and hope to begin shooting later this year, after locking the script and cast. Eighty percent will be shot in Indore and the remaining in Shillong.' On how much fact and fiction the project will be he says, 'The broader story will remain the same but to mount a feature film for the big screen we will package it with other fictional elements too." Raja Raghuvanshi had travelled to Meghalaya with his wife Sonam in May. Days after he went missing, his mutilated body was found on June 2 in a deep gorge near a waterfall in the Sohra area (also known as Cherrapunji) in East Khasi Hills district. Police arrested eight people, including Raja's wife Sonam Raghuvanshi, and her suspected lover, Raj Kushwaha.
