Over 100 Ministers And MPs Take Part In Ukhuwah MADANI Programme In Port Dickson
The initiative, led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's MADANI administration, aims to foster closer ties between leaders and the people in a relaxed, inclusive setting rooted in shared values and solidarity.
It also seeks to normalise the practice of leaders engaging directly with the public, creating a continuous culture of ground engagement and offering citizens a platform to voice their needs, concerns and ideas.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil, along with several Cabinet members and MADANI MPs, arrived at Kampung Sawah at 8.45 am and were briefed by the village head before spending about 25 minutes at the site of the Sejahtera Komuniti MADANI event.
The delegation comprised Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad; Women, Family and Community Development Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri; Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali, and Deputy Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Minister Datuk Seri R. Ramanan.
They were later joined by Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail; Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi; Human Resources Minister Steven Sim, and several other Cabinet members, who arrived at 8.30 am at the Kampung Teluk Pelandok Fishermen's Jetty to take part in a jetty painting activity and engage with residents.
Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Aminuddin Harun was also present to show support, spending nearly 30 minutes at the jetty with the leaders and community members.
Saifuddin described the programme as a meaningful experience that allowed him to connect with residents, gain insights into their daily activities and explore the area's economic potential.
'This programme allows us to engage directly with the local community. We got to know some of their products, such as homestays. With this kind of approach, it becomes clear that MADANI is not just about developing the nation, but also the individual,' he told reporters.

Fuel prices unchanged for RON95, RON97, and diesel in Malaysia

Latest Fiscal Support Measures Positive For Consumer Sector -- CIMB Securities
BUSINESS KUALA LUMPUR, July 23 (Bernama) -- The latest fiscal support measures announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim are expected to bolster Malaysia's consumer sector by reinforcing near-term spending, particularly on essential goods and value-based retail, said CIMB Securities Sdn Bhd. CIMB Securities, however, is keeping its earnings forecasts unchanged at this juncture, noting that the measures would underpin existing revenue growth assumptions for the stocks under its coverage. 'Within the consumer sector, we continue to advocate focusing on companies benefiting from inelastic demand for daily necessities and those well-positioned to capture consumer downtrading trends by targeting the mass-market segment,' it said. CIMB Securities highlighted that food and beverage (F&B) manufacturers, such as Nestle, F&N, QL Resources, and Farm Fresh, are likely to benefit from stronger demand for basic food and beverage products, many of which are likely to be eligible for purchase using the RM100 credit. It opined that other retailers such as Mr DIY ('Buy' call), Padini (Buy), Aeon (Buy), Yoong Onn (Buy), Bonia (Hold), Berjaya Food and SEM (Reduce) could see improved footfall and higher spending per customer as disposable incomes increase, amplified by the recent 25 basis points overnight policy rate cut to 2.75 per cent. 'As such, we maintain our 'Neutral' call on the sector. We believe valuations are fair at this juncture, reflecting the ongoing soft consumer sentiment and higher sales tax on discretionary goods, the impact of boycott activities on selected consumer names and cost pressures from the expanded Sales and Service Tax (SST) on rental costs,' it said. Earlier today, Anwar unveiled a new round of fiscal support measures aimed at alleviating living costs, stimulating domestic consumption, and boosting household spending ahead of the upcoming Merdeka Day and Malaysia Day celebrations. Key measures include a one-off RM100 e-credit via MyKad (SARA scheme), doubling the Rahmah Madani Sales programme budget to RM600 million for 2025, a public holiday on Sept 15, 2025, to encourage domestic travel, a toll rate freeze for 2025 and maintaining RON95 subsidies, with the subsidised price to be reduced from RM2.50 per litre to RM1.99 per litre for all Malaysians. -- BERNAMA

Malaysia saves RM873.5 million annually with 97 bureaucratic reforms
PUTRAJAYA: The MADANI government's push to reduce bureaucratic inefficiencies has achieved significant results, with 97 Bureaucratic Reform Projects (RKB) under the Public Service Reform Agenda (ARPA) saving RM873.5 million annually in compliance costs. The Special Taskforce on Agency Reform (STAR) confirmed the savings following its latest meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar. The reforms have streamlined processes for businesses and the public while enhancing national productivity. Four ministries received recognition for high-impact projects. The Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security (KPKM) digitised aid approvals, the Ministry of Works (KKR) reduced tender evaluations from 35 to 18 days (saving RM1.1 million yearly), and the Ministry of National Unity (KPN) slashed Rukun Tetangga application processing from 90 to 30 days. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) shortened vehicle approval times in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan from five days to one, saving RM160,000 annually and boosting local tourism. STAR also discussed strategic initiatives, including curbing livestock smuggling at the Malaysia–Thailand border and drafting a new Cooperative Act.
