Hibs legend Paul Hanlon has been awarded the Club's Special Recognition Award for his outstanding contribution, commitment and dedicated years of service to Hibernian FC.
Hanlon received the award at the official End of Season Awards night earlier this month, following in the footsteps of his current teammate Lewis Stevenson and fellow Club legends Joelle Murray and Pat Stanton.
Speaking on the night, Hanlon admitted how proud he was to follow in the footsteps of such iconic players.

'It is an amazing moment. To see some of the names that have won the award before is really special, so to be named in that group with that calibre of player and person is incredible. I am delighted to receive the award.
'I was over the moon when I got the invitation to come along and it is great to catch up with everyone at the Club as well.
'I was emotional watching back some of the tributes from past managers and former players too. Mixu (Paatelainen) was up on the screen – he gave me my debut all those years ago, so I will always be grateful for that.
'There were a lot of special teammates and friends who I met along the way. I keep in touch with these guys all now, so it was very nice to hear from them – even though it makes you feel a wee bit emotional and uncomfortable at the same time!'

Tottenham released a lengthy statement explaining their decision to dismiss manager Ange Postecoglou: FOLLOWING a review of performances and after significant reflection, the Club can announce that Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties. We are extremely grateful to Ange for his commitment and contribution during his two years at the Club. Ange will always be remembered as only the third manager in our history to deliver a European trophy, alongside legendary figures Bill Nicholson and Keith Burkinshaw. However, the Board has unanimously concluded that it is in the best interests of the Club for a change to take place. Following a positive start in the 2023/24 Premier League (PL) season, we recorded 78 points from the last 66 PL games. This culminated in our worst-ever PL finish last season. At times there were extenuating circumstances - injuries and then a decision to prioritise our European campaign. Whilst winning the Europa League this season ranks as one of the Club's greatest moments, we cannot base our decision on emotions aligned to this triumph. It is crucial that we are able to compete on multiple fronts and believe a change of approach will give us the strongest chance for the coming season and beyond. This has been one of the toughest decisions we have had to make and is not a decision that we have taken lightly, nor one we have rushed to conclude. We have made what we believe is the right decision to give us the best chance of success going forward, not the easy decision. We have a talented, young squad and Ange has given us a great platform to build upon. We should like to express our gratitude to him. We wish him well for the future - he will always be welcome back at our home. News on the appointment of a new Head Coach will be announced in due course.

Postecoglou's classy gesture for Spurs fan on holiday amid brutal Levy snub
Tottenham announced the end of Ange Postecoglou's time at the club on Friday after an awful season and Daniel Levy's feelings on the Australian appear to be very clear Ange Postecoglou rounded off his Tottenham tenure with a heartwarming gesture to a fan but was met with silence by Daniel Levy. The Australian departed the club on Friday after two years. His exit comes just a fortnight after ending the club's 17-year trophy drought by winning the Europa League. Spurs have explained that the decision to sack him came due to their awful Premier League campaign. And while his time in North London is over, one fan in particular will have lasting memories of Postecoglou. According to The Athletic, Spurs supporter Jeremy Conrad met the former Celtic boss and his family while on holiday in Greece following the European success. He reportedly thanked him for all he had done for the club. Conrad then followed that up by sending a lovely letter and a bottle of wine to Postecoglou's villa. Postecoglou was determined to reply in kind. He thanked the supporter at breakfast the next day, while he also handed him a signed shirt with a message reading: 'To Jez. Ange. COYS!' In the club's announcement, there were no quotes from Levy despite him having spoken out on the two major departures from the club this summer: coach Ryan Mason and executive director Donna-Maria Cullen. One the former, he said: "Ryan has been an integral part of Tottenham Hotspur for a number of years, both as a player and a coach. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Ryan for all his dedication and hard work over the years, and we wish him every success for the future." Meanwhile, Levy penned a lengthy message for Cullen. He wrote: 'Donna has made an immense contribution to the Club, over an extensive period. Her diverse responsibilities grew significantly and replacing her roles with a single individual will be impossible. 'While many may associate her primarily with marketing and communications, Donna's impact extends far beyond those areas. Notably, her leadership and political acumen at planning committees, was instrumental in the Club being able to build one of the finest stadiums and training centres in the world. Hibs reveal details of landmark anniversary project
Hibs have revealed details of a landmark project that will form a key part of the Club's 150th Anniversary celebrations. With just two months to go until the Club officially celebrate 150 years as a Football Club on 6 August 2025, work is now underway to repurpose the Old Ticket Office Building at Easter Road Stadium into the Hibernian Football Club Visitor Centre. One of many initiatives formed to mark a significant year in Hibs history, the Visitor Centre will be dedicated to exhibiting the rich history of Hibernian FC – welcoming fans, locals, schools, community groups and tourists to learn about our Club's proud and storied past. Following the popularity of our St Mary's Street Hall Exhibition and recent Heritage Events, this year-long project, generously backed by Hibernian Supporters (HSL) and developed closely with the Hibernian Historical Trust, will deliver a constantly evolving exhibit to engage with supporters and the wider public. The Hibernian Historical Trust will populate the Visitor Centre with their extensive archive of memorabilia and artefacts, creating a captivating exhibition that will give a variety of precious pieces of Hibernian FC history a platform to be viewed and enjoyed. 'When the Hibernian Historical Trust was set up in 2004, its main goals were, and still are, the maintaining and preservation of memorabilia relating to the Club and educating current and future generations about the Club,' said Gordon Mackay at the Hibernian Historical Trust. 'The new visitor centre will allow more memorabilia to be displayed helping us fulfil our key objectives. Our grateful thanks go to HSL for their ongoing support and of course Hibernian FC for making the project possible.' Generously supported by Hibernian Supporters (HSL) – the largest supporter-shareholder group at Hibernian FC – transformative work has already begun at the Old Ticket Office, with the Club targeting an opening date in Autumn 2025. 'We are really pleased to be able to support the Visitor Centre project, thanks to the ongoing contributions from our members' added Peter McDermott, Hibernian Supporters (HSL) Director. 'With such a rich history, it's fantastic to see the Club and Historical Trust working together to showcase a vast range of unique items and stories from the last 150 years of Hibernian, which will allow fans of all ages to learn more about the events that have helped shape our great club.' Amongst a number of events and planned activities, the Club is excited by the prospect of creating a stimulating space for visitors to enjoy while telling its story.
