Former Love Island star Katie Salmon has been convicted of assault on a person causing them actual bodily harm.
The mother-of-one, who starred in the 2016 series of the ITV dating show, appeared at Northampton Crown Court on July 11 where she was charged with assault on Jyssica Memory.
The case has been postponed for sentencing until September 15.
Katie reportedly kicked and punched Jyssica who'd been in a secret relationship with her partner after he lured her there on the promise of a new life in Thailand.
Jyssica believed she was going to start a new life in paradise with her boyfriend of four years Anthony Kelly.
However she was instead reportedly 'ambushed' by Anthony and his other partner Katie.
Katie attacked the victim, hitting her with a hairdryer and a stiletto shoe, according to one witness, and punching and kicking her 'seven to ten times', according to Northamptonshire Telegraph.
Parts of the shocking incident were videoed as the jury watched the contents of the victim's suitcase strewn around.
The victim was left with a clump of hair missing, a lump on her head and two blackened eyes.
Katie has denied the charge of assault occasioning actual bodily harm during her time in court.
MailOnline have contacted Katie's representatives for comment.
Katie shot to fame during the second season of Love Island and made history as one half of the series' first same sex couple with the late Sophie Gradon eventually came fourth with co-star Adam Maxted.
At the beginning of the year Katie broke her silence after the tragic death of her ex fiancé and father of her daughter Thiaga in a heartfelt Instagram post.
She announced Harry sadly passed away in December 2024 and paid tribute after taking the time to 're align, grieve and be present' with her toddler over the festive period.
She wrote: 'Happy new year to all. I've taken some time of [sic] social to just re align as well as grieve and just be present with my daughter and family.
'The year ended with sad news but I have every faith this year is the year for all answered prayers and healings.
'I'm always shocked at how I manage to get through the things I do and that's because of God.
'Thank you for supporting me and I can't wait to get back to creating real content for you all that's authentic to me and my life.
'God bless you all let's make 2025 the best yet.'
At the time of his death, Katie wrote: 'Trying to navigate this pain. The highest highs and the lowest lows with you.
'It's so sad to know you'll never see what a beautiful little girl she is or who she will become. I hope your soul finds peace Harry [heartbreak emoji].'
Katie split from Harry just six months after the birth of their first child, in September 2022.

New strict gun laws to be introduced after tragic shootings

Individuals with a history of violence or domestic abuse will now be barred from owning firearms under stringent new regulations introduced this week. The guidance, issued on Tuesday, directly addresses concerns from coroners and campaigners following recent fatal shootings in Woodmancote, Sussex, and Keyham, near Plymouth. Under the updated directives, police officers will be mandated to interview partners or other household members of firearms licence applicants. This aims to uncover signs of domestic abuse or other factors making an individual unsuitable to possess a weapon. Forces must also conduct rigorous checks to ensure those with a documented record of violence are prevented from holding a firearms licence. This policy shift comes two years after an inquest highlighted 'catastrophic failures' within the licensing system, which allowed Keyham gunman Jake Davison to legally own a shotgun despite his violent history. Davison, then 22, killed his mother and four others, including a three-year-old girl, in an eight-minute shooting spree in August 2021 before taking his own life. Evidence of dishonesty will also count against an application, including withholding relevant medical history. Robert Needham, who killed his partner Kelly Fitzgibbons and their daughters Ava and Lexi with a legally owned shotgun at their home in Woodmancote in 2020, was given a licence despite admitting that he had failed to disclose a history of depression and work-related stress. Emma Ambler, Ms Fitzgibbons' sister, welcomed the changes but said there was 'still some way to go'. She said: 'I still believe that holding a gun licence is a privilege and not a right. 'The priority has to be the safety of society and it's so important to stop these extremely dangerous weapons falling into the wrong hands, which these changes will go some way to doing.' Tuesday's changes will also mean applicants for shotgun licences now require two referees rather than one, bringing the process into line with the rules for other firearms. Policing minister Dame Diana Johnson said: 'Only those who meet the highest standards of safety and responsibility should be permitted to use shotguns or firearms, and it is crucial that police have full information about the suitability of all applicants for these lethal weapons. 'The events in Woodmancote in 2020, Plymouth in 2021 and other cases provide a tragic reminder of what can happen when these weapons are in the hands of the wrong people, and we must do everything we can to protect the public.' Controls on shotgun ownership could be further toughened after another consultation, due to be launched later this year, that will also seek views on improving the rules on private firearms sales. The new consultation follows the case of Nicholas Prosper, who killed his mother, Juliana Falcon, and siblings Giselle and Kyle Prosper in Luton in 2024. Prosper, 19, had been able to purchase a shotgun and 100 cartridges from a legitimate firearms dealer after forging a licence. He was jailed for life with a minimum term of 49 years after pleading guilty to the murders earlier this year.

Man jailed for threatening police with ‘gun' made from Primark bag

A man has been jailed after he threatened two police officers with a fake firearm he made from a brown paper bag. CCTV footage showed Matthew Sylvester, 37, chase a police car and point a fake gun at the officers, who assumed in the dark that the weapon was real. Police constables Dan Arthur and George Oliver responded to a report of a man who was using a trolley to try and break into a shop in Telford town centre at around 10pm on 22 February. West Mercia Police said that the officers didn't realise 'the wannabe burglar' was preparing for police arrival, using a jumper to cover his face in a nearby trolley park where he forged an object to mimic a gun. When he spotted the patrol car enter the car park, he immediately charged at the officers with his imitation firearm. The officers moved away from Sylvester, only to find themselves stuck behind the car park barriers. He went to the passenger side of the car, where he threatened PC Oliver and kicked the vehicle. The officers quickly called for backup as they couldn't see in the dark that Sylvester was not holding a gun. The 37-year-old moved to open the boot of the police car, before the two officers got out of the car and pursued him on foot, as Sylvester ran in the direction of a housing estate. Before he could leave the car park, the two officers tackled him to the floor and removed the jumper covering his face, where Sylvester - who is known to the police - was revealed. Police established quickly that the firearm was a brown paper bag that Sylvester had folded up to look like a handgun. The suspect, of no fixed abode, was arrested at the scene for offences including having an imitation firearm and assaulting an emergency worker. Chief Inspector Matt Sanders said: 'When officers are sent to an ongoing incident they are going into the unknown. That night, PC Arthur and PC Oliver responded to an attempted burglary, and came face-to-face with a man whose clear intention was to cause harm and distress to police. 'Sylvester's actions were calculated, going to great lengths to ensure officers were called to the scene, including threatening members of the public and trying to break into a shop. "He covered his face with a jumper to ensure he wasn't recognised by officers before manipulating an object to look like a small firearm so he could threaten whoever was responding. 'The bravery and professionalism shown by both PCs that evening was nothing short of extraordinary. "Fortunately, neither officer sustained any injuries, and Sylvester was swiftly arrested thanks to the quick thinking and actions of both officers that night, along with those who also came to their aid.'No-one should come to work and face violence, and we thank our officers that day for their bravery and dedication to keeping communities safe.' He was later charged with a number of offences including two counts of assaulting an emergency worker, possession of an imitation firearm to cause distress, possession of class A drugs and attempted burglary. Sylvester pleaded guilty to all charges at Shrewsbury Crown Court halfway through a week-long trial on Wednesday last week. On Friday, he was sentenced to 16 months for imitating a firearm, and three months for assaulting two emergency workers to run consecutively. He was also given four months for causing fear and violence and one month for possession of a class A drug (cocaine). Both are to run concurrently.

Helena appeared distracted as she 'ignored' what Yasmin had to say and instead caught up with fourth place star Angel in full view of the cameras. Each time the shot focused on Maya, Helena could be seen speaking to her co-star as she failed to listen in to what Yasmin had to say. Noticing their antics online, one fan questioned: "What is Helena and Angel talking about." Before someone else echoed: "All I could see behind Maya was angel and Helena chatting away the whole time during yaz and Jamie's interview." It added further fuel to the fire about the long-standing girls divide this year. Helena had failed to see eye-to-eye with Yasmin, Shakira or Toni during her time in the villa as two rival girl groups quickly emerged. Along with Meg and Megan, Helena had clashes with the other three villa girls throughout but it seemed they had the last laugh when they made up the top three spots.
