Sony is reportedly removing 22 games from the

and PS Plus Premium game catalog next month. To recall, PlayStation Plus has become a must for PS4 and PS5 users. As per the Push Square report, games like Grand Theft Auto 5, MotoGP 24, The Sims 4 and others will be removed 'from the PS Plus service on 20th May, at which point a new selection of games will be cycled in.' Impacted users will not be able to play these games from the said date, unless they buy a copy. This means that users have only a limited time to play these games. Here is the complete list of games that will be removed from PlayStation Plus in May -

Witcher 4's 60fps tech demo sparks hope for GTA 6 performance on PS5

Source: Rockstar Games A recent tech demo for The Witcher 4 has gotten people excited, especially fans who are waiting for Grand Theft Auto 6. Presented at the State of Unreal 2025 event, the demo showed The Witcher 4 playing at 60fps with ray tracing on a default PlayStation 5. This achievement has raised the question of whether other demanding games such as GTA 6 would be capable of such performance on next-gen consoles. Witcher 4's tech demo sparks GTA 6 frame rate expectations The Witcher 4 - UE 5.6 Tech Demo | State of Unreal 2025 The Witcher 4 demo, developed with Unreal Engine 5.6, showcased hero Ciri traversing verdant woods and chock-full medieval towns, all of which were rendered in breathtaking detail at 60fps with ray tracing enabled. The announcement came at Epic Games' State of Unreal 2025 presentation and immediately rang in optimism throughout the gaming world. Many believed that this kind of optimization would be applied to other giant open-world titles, particularly Rockstar's GTA 6, which is infamous for pushing technical limits. But CD Projekt Red explained that the demo was a technical demonstration rather than representative final gameplay. Nevertheless, its silky-smooth performance on base PS5 hardware hints that next-gen games can do more than thought before, based on engine efficiency and hardware use. Why GTA 6 might not do the same, at least yet Even with the optimism, experts caution that GTA 6 cannot be expected to ship with a 60fps mode on PS5. The engine of the game is built around Ray Traced Global Illumination (RTGI), which is deeply integrated and not scalable. This renders it difficult to offer a performance mode without significantly sacrificing the game's visuals. Even the PS5 Pro will struggle to maintain 60fps from CPU restrictions and the simulation-intensive nature of GTA 6. Additionally, Rockstar's official trailers have been capped at 30fps, furthering expectations of a 30fps launch. Developer recorded clips at higher frame rates are not representative of real-time console gaming. While The Witcher 4 tech demo shows that 60fps open-world experiences are possible on PS5, GTA 6 may not be able to replicate that performance at launch. Until Rockstar confirms otherwise, players should manage expectations and be prepared for a 30fps experience, at least in the early stages. PlayStation Plus celebrates ‘Days of Play' with GTA III remastered release

Source: Rockstar Games PlayStation Plus is celebrating its annual "Days of Play" event by including a flagship title to its game roster: the remastered Grand Theft Auto III from the GTA Trilogy: Definitive Edition. Beginning June 10, 2025, Premium and Extra level subscribers will be able to download and access this classic open-world game for free. This action allows fans to go back to Liberty City with improved graphics and gameplay on PS4 and PS5 systems. GTA III remastered free for PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra subscribers The star of the Days of Play event is the inclusion of Grand Theft Auto III: The Definitive Edition with PlayStation Plus for Premium and Extra members. As of June 10, gamers get the fully remastered classic for free without any additional charge. The Definitive Edition comes with refreshed visuals, enhanced lighting, and contemporary controls, giving new life to this milestone title that was first released in 2001. This isn't the first time GTA III has seen a run on PlayStation Plus. It was available on the service's catalog for six months in 2021 shortly after the Definitive Edition's initial launch. This was followed by GTA: Vice City in October 2022, furthering the rotation of the trilogy titles through the subscription service. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo The release follows the plan of Sony to keep PlayStation Plus new and interesting to fans amidst the Days of Play celebration. Additional details and community reactions to the GTA III remaster The remastered GTA III will still be offered on PlayStation Plus for roughly six months, probably going off the service in November 2025. This aligns with other Rockstar games on the service, like GTA San Andreas, which went up during last year's Days of Play and went off after a half-year. The Definitive Edition was originally met with widespread criticism when it was first released because of a myriad of bugs and performance problems. Rockstar has put a lot of effort in the last three years patching and enhancing the trilogy, though. A major 2024 update rectified a lot of the big issues, so now is the perfect time for enthusiasts to enjoy remastered Liberty City on PS4 and PS5. Meanwhile, in further news, committed fans have even managed to port GTA III to its originally intended platform, the SEGA Dreamcast, demonstrating the passion of the community for this classic title. PlayStation Plus's Days of Play event offers a great opportunity for both returning and new players to dive into the remastered Grand Theft Auto III. With enhanced visuals and improved gameplay, this release reminds players why Liberty City remains a timeless setting in gaming history. Don't miss your chance to explore this classic on PlayStation Plus starting June 10. Also Read: Rockstar surprises fans with new GTA San Andreas iOS update
