These games are coming to Sony PlayStation Plus in May
Sony has announced PlayStation Plus monthly games lineup for the month of June. Next month, four games are coming to Sony PlayStation Plus. These include NBA 2K25 , Alone in the Dark , Destiny 2: The Final Shape and Bomb Rush Cyberfunk. These games will be available to PlayStation Plus members on PS4 and PS5. 3 new PlayStation Plus games to play this weekend (May 30-June 1)
Under normal circumstances, we would have to wait until next week to get our drop of new PlayStation Plus games, but this is a special occasion. We're currently right at the start of the Days of Play event where Sony celebrates with tons of community events and huge discounts on PS5 games and accessories. The icing on the cake is that we're not only getting four new games for Essential members, but an additional four for Extra and two more for Premium, with several already available. That's a lot to keep up with if you weren't prepared for it, which is where I come in. We will have to wait for most of the games until Tuesday, but here are a few new games you can start playing over this weekend to start the celebrations early. Destiny 2: The Final Shape With all the talk surrounding Marathon, Bungie, and live service games as a whole, it might feel in bad form to recommend The Final Shape right now. However, for what it's worth, Bungie did manage to make what looks like its last major expansion to the Destiny universe its best yet. This feels like the true swansong of the 10+ year journey players have been on since launch in all the right ways. The story is as complex as ever overall, but the micro moments with characters and the buildup to missions and major battles are thrilling. Gunplay, as always, is a joy with even more ways to break open the game. If you're overly pessimistic about Bungie right now, this might help remind you that it can still deliver. Recommended Videos Destiny 2: The Final Shape is available now on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Another Crab's Treasure Don't be fooled by the tone or presentation of this game. Another Crab's Treasure is a deep (pun intended) soulslike with a style all its own that is way more than just a fun parody. Sure, you will see deliberate jabs here and there, like how the game takes place in the Sands Between, but the gameplay is dead serious. Besides its underwater setting, what sets this game apart is its shell mechanic. Depending on what shell your crab is wearing, you have access to a different ability. If even the mention of the word soulslike turns you off, fear not. This game is meant to be beginner-friendly and has plenty of accessibility and assist options. Another Crab's Treasure is available now on PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PC. Alone in the Dark 2 I'm taking you way back with this pick, but stick with me because I have a reason. Sadly, I can't put the very first game on the list since it isn't on PS Plus, so Alone in the Dark 2 will have to do. This is the sequel to the game that essentially inspired all survival horror games after. It is a bit rough on the eyes now, and just as clunky as it was in the '90s, but just as creepy and astounding when you consider the era it came out in. But beyond being a classic I think anyone should try, next week we are getting the 2024 reboot that sadly went overlooked by most. There's no need to play this first to understand the modern entry, but it is always a fun exercise to see where a series started compared to where it is now. Alone in the Dark 2 is available now on PS4, PS5, and PC.

Southwest Airlines drop free checked bags after 50 years: Here's how much travelers will have to pay
Southwest Airlines is shaking up its travel policies by eliminating free checked bags, a move aimed at boosting revenue. Announced earlier this year, the change brings the carrier's baggage fees in line with major competitors like Delta and American Airlines, marking a shift in strategy for the low-cost operator. On Tuesday, May 27, the airlines revealed that the budget airline will now charge $35 for a customer's first checked bag and $45 for their second checked bag. The policy revocation has left travellers disappointed as the free checked bags differentiated the airlines from their competitors, as reported by mLive. However, it continues to offer the perks to guests with A-List Preferred status, or those purchasing a Business Select fare still receive two free checked bags. Additionally, travelers holding a Southwest credit card or A-List status in the Rapid Rewards program are entitled to one free checked bag per flight. However, the airlines also noted that it will also face a loss of $1.8 billion in business as customers opt other airlines after the change in policy. The budget airline is set to make even further changes as it will soon begin to assign seats. It means that the open boarding system, which was in place for more than 50 years, will also cease to exist. There has been no announcement as to when the switch will happen. Southwest's Rapid Rewards program is also getting an overhaul, with enhanced perks for travelers who purchase Business Select fares or hold higher-tier status. Meanwhile, members buying lower-cost tickets will see a reduction in the number of rewards points they earn.

Walmart plans to open 5 new stores and one Sam's Club: Check out the new locations
Walmart is gearing up for significant expansion, with plans to open five new stores by the end of September. CEO John Furner announced in a January 2024 press release that the retail giant intends to build or convert over 150 locations, while also undertaking renovations at more than 650 stores across 47 states. According to USA Today, A spokesperson for Walmart revealed that teh company has plans to open 10 more stores by the end of this year. They also revealed that, following are the five locations where Walmart will open its new stores by the end of September 2025. From May 20 to May 26, the advocacy group People's Union USA led a protest against the retail giant, accusing it of 'crushing small businesses' and 'underpaying' employees. The action followed March's economic blackout and highlighted growing criticism of Walmart's business practices. The Walmart boycott is part of a broader series of weekly protests organized by the People's Union. Target is next on the list, with a boycott scheduled for June 3 to 9, followed by McDonald's from June 24 to 30. The group is also planning a nationwide consumer blackout on July 4, aiming to draw attention to corporate practices they deem harmful to workers and small businesses.
