Another day, another compact flagship to drool over: now, it's Vivo's turn to amaze us. Enter the Vivo X200 FE.
As the name suggests, this will be another, fifth, device in the X200 family that consist so far of: Vivo X200 Ultra
Vivo X200 Pro
Vivo X200
Vivo X200 Pro mini It's not just that the X200 series is an amazing lineup of top-notch mobile photography tools. The Vivo X200 Ultra has the best overall battery life of any phone we tested in the last two years, and that should be enough of a reason to pay close attention to the upcoming X200 FE model.

Vivo is reportedly preparing to launch the new compact flagship, as suggested by recent appearances on multiple certification platforms. The device has just been listed on a Thailand database, confirming both its official name and model number (V2503), signaling that an official launch may be near. It has also been approved by Europe's EEC authority, suggesting that a broader international release is on the horizon. Earlier sightings of the X200 FE on certification sites such as Malaysia's SIRIM and Germany's TUV reinforce speculation that the phone will have a global rollout, including a potential launch in India expected around July (or late June). Though detailed specifications have not yet been confirmed by these certifications, leaks suggest the device will feature a 6.31-inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is rumored to carry a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP periscope camera, along with a 50MP front-facing shooter. Under the hood, the X200 FE is expected to be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9400e chipset and equipped with a 6,500 mAh battery, supporting 90W fast charging. The device will likely run FunTouch OS 15 based on Android 15. In India, the phone is anticipated to be available in two storage configurations: 12 GB RAM with 256 GB storage and 16 GB RAM with 512 GB storage.Leaked details from tipster Paras Guglani further suggest that the Vivo X200 FE will come in four color options:
It could be officially launched in the second half of June, per the tipster's information. The device is also believed to be a rebranded version of the Vivo S30 Pro Mini, but we'll confirm that in some weeks time. The phone is set to debut in China, naturally. The industry is throwing compact flagships at us so often – just think of OnePlus and its upcoming OnePlus 13T, a.k.a. OnePlus 13s: tiny body, huge battery! Gotta love 2025!

All Galaxy S26 models could benefit from a design tweak

Galaxy S25 series | Image Credit - PhoneArena Smartphone makers seem obsessed with thin phones this year. Samsung has already delivered on that front by introducing the slender Galaxy S25 Edge and slimming down the Galaxy Z Fold 7. The company isn't done yet, with a new rumor saying that all Galaxy S26 variants will be thinner than their predecessors. Tipster @kro_roe claims that all three Galaxy S26 models will have a thinner profile than their Galaxy S25 counterparts. That's not to say that all three models will aspire for Galaxy S25 Edge -level thinness. It just means that the phones will be somewhat thinner and, as a result of that, offer improved grip. All Galaxy S26 models are expected to be slimmer than their Galaxy S25 counterparts. It remains to be seen how Samsung will achieve that without messing up its rumored plans to equip the Galaxy S26 , Galaxy S26 Edge, and Galaxy S26 Ultra with bigger batteries than their predecessors. That said, respected leaker Ice Universe previously also said that the Galaxy S26 Ultra would be thinner and lighter. Also, there have been conflicting reports about the Ultra model's battery capacity, so the highest-end model may not necessarily have a bigger cell. Alternatively, Samsung may switch to the silicon carbon tech to increase battery capacity without increasing the footprint. An earlier rumor claimed that the Galaxy S26 would use this tech to increase the capacity to up to 7,000 mAh. The leaker also commented on the rumors, which said that the base model would be replaced by the Galaxy S26 Pro, and in place of the Galaxy S26 Plus, we will get the Galaxy S25 Edge . They have thrown more confusion into the mix, claiming Samsung is undecided on whether the Plus model should be superseded by a Pro variant or continue to exist in its current form. Even though there's still uncertainty about what the lineup will end up looking like, one thing is for sure: Samsung is determined to shake things up, and that's a good sign. Android will soon become better at backing up your data

Ro, 17 August 2025 An APK teardown of the Google Play Services app, version 26.32.31 beta reveals some interesting details about phone backups. It hints at a new feature that Google will likely implement in the near future that would let you choose more folders to back up. Everyone who is using automatic online backup knows that not all data is backed up. You do get your photos and videos up in the cloud along with settings and some user data, but not everything. For instance, some apps have encrypted data and can't be backed up. Currently, you can't back up other folders, like your "Downloads" folder. But the beta version source code for Google Play Services suggests Google is working on a solution. It will likely give you the option to back up your Downloads folder, and why not other folders as well. Of course, all your data will be uploaded to your Google Drive. Additionally, there's a string that refers to "documents", which may suggest Google will allow backups of only certain types of files and not everything. Either way, we can only guess for now, but it seems that Google is already working on the new backup options so that we will know for sure soon enough. Source
