BAMBI: THE RECKONING Trailer Turns a Beloved Buck Into a Toothy Terror

Yahoo05-03-2025

I wish I could tell you that this whole Pooniverse horror crossover thing was simply a collective fever dream. The idea of taking some of our most beloved childhood characters like Winnie the Pooh, Tinkerbell, and Bambi and turning them into murderers does make many folks sad. However, it is intriguing enough that people will turn up to see what's going on, which is why these films will keep on coming for the foreseeable future. The next horror film up, Bambi: The Reckoning, has a trailer and it is a scary trip into the woods.
We all remember the original story of Bambi and how it broke our hearts to see his mom die at the hands of a hunter. Nevertheless, Bambi does grow up to be a handsome buck who finds love and becomes the next Great Prince of the Forest. Everything ended with sweet joy and we could all sleep at night in peace.
Well, in Bambi: The Reckoning, his grief goes on a whole completely different path, which we see in this horror trailer. Bambi lost his mom and now he's on a quest to apparently murder every human being who crosses his path. He's also freaking huge with a mouth full of razor sharp teeth. Lord have mercy. This is not the deer you want to see, ever.
It is pretty short but here's a synopsis from Jagged Edge Productions:
After a mother and son get in a car wreck, they soon become hunted by Bambi, a mutated grief-stricken deer on a deadly rampage seeking revenge for the death of his mother.
We will have to see how Bambi became mutated but I can guarantee it is humanity's fault. Everything is almost always our fault. And honestly, who can blame Bambi for wanting to get revenge?
The film stars Roxanne Mckee,, Tom Mulheron, Nicola Wright, Samira Mighty, and Alex Cooke. Bambi: The Reckoning doesn't have a firm release date yet but it will hit theaters in Summer 2025.

Golden Retriever Puppy Sees Cows for the First Time and Her Reaction Is Priceless

Golden Retriever Puppy Sees Cows for the First Time and Her Reaction Is Priceless originally appeared on Parade Pets. When you're just a little baby pup exploring the world, everything is new and big and scary. Can you imagine what it must feel like to see other animals for the first time? Talk about a shock! Just ask Bambi, who recently met cows for the first time. The Golden Retriever puppy wasn't quite sure what to make of them, but while she figures it out, she needs a little support from her parents to get through this trying time. Bambi is cute as can be in the short video shared by @1jolly1, really living up to all things adorable puppy. The bittersweet clinging to the leg kind of makes your heart pitter-patter. The thought of her feeling so frightened by the sight she couldn't let go of Mom is too precious. I can understand her hesitation to investigate the cows any further. The "grass doggos" must look like gigantic, dangerous creatures who could snatch little Bambi up in an instant. She has no idea they'd likely lick her than ever think about hurting her, but that's part of being a puppy, learning how to exist!Usually, it's sister Puddin or brother Dozer as the stars of Dad's TikTok videos, so I'm sure Bambi is slightly embarrassed that of all the cute things she does, this is the one he posts! The cow interaction wasn't her finest moment but she's still a relatively new member of the family so there will be plenty of other chances to redeem her street cred. There are other clips of the young Golden that speak to who she really is when cows aren't involved. Maybe fame is a wild concept to a puppy but she became an instant star the day of her arrival. Thanks to Dozer and Puddin, Bambi got the debut treatment in a way only her creative dad could do. This is why the crew has amassed more than 5.8 million followers. Take a look at Bambi's special intro to the big scary world, because she's irresistible in the way only puppies are. Bonus: her new siblings fell in love with her instantly! One day, Bambi may realize cows are just large field friends. For now though, she'd really feel better hanging back to check out the vibes first, so leave her be. 🐶🐾🐾 Golden Retriever Puppy Sees Cows for the First Time and Her Reaction Is Priceless first appeared on Parade Pets on Jun 7, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade Pets on Jun 7, 2025, where it first appeared.

Summer is for scares: Here are the horror movies hitting theaters this season

Summer 2025 is all about horror movies, with a slew of scary flicks headed to cinemas. This year there's a little bit of everything to look forward to, from sequels to iconic horror franchises to new movies from the genre's most celebrated up-and-coming filmmakers. There's even a bloodthirsty version of Bambi, if that's more your thing. If you plan your summer weekends around the latest scary movie releases, check out our guide for the top horror movies hitting theaters this season. From the Australian team behind Talk to Me comes A24'sBring Her Back, which also poses the question: Just how far would you go to communicate with a dead loved one? The new film stars Sally Hawkins as a grieving woman who takes in two foster children — and has some dark ideas about what to do with them. What's worse than being kidnapped by a serial killer? Being kidnapped by serial killer who takes you out to the middle of the ocean to be consumed by sharks. The film, which premiered at Cannes, takes all the scariest parts of Jaws and combines it with Silence of the Lambs. It will leave you sweating even in the most air-conditioned of movie theaters. Still reeling from the second season of The Last of Us? Return to the world of zombies with the third film in 28 Days Later franchise, which takes place nearly three decades after the Rage virus turned humans into the walking — er, running — dead. The new film from director Danny Boyle and writer Alex Garland stars Ralph Fiennes, Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Jack O'Connell. M3GAN's all grown up! Well, sort of... This time around, killer robot M3GAN gets an upgrade in order to take down an even more evil robot named AMELIA, who is hellbent on destruction. If the trailer is any indication, M3GAN's teen years come with even more sass. (Oh, and for you popcorn bucket collectors …M3GAN 2.0 has an excellent one.) When will teenagers learn that covering up murder is always a bad idea? Apparently not in this long-awaited sequel to the classic slasher, where friends played by Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, Jonah Hauer-King, Tyriq Withers and Sarah Pidgeon find themselves victims of a deranged hook-handed man. Fortunately, they've got a few experts on the subject at hand: Stars of the original I Know What You Did Last Summer Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. are back to reprise their roles and offer guidance. Pete Davidson is a comedy guy, but his character in The Home is stuck in a highly unfunny situation. Davidson plays a worker at a retirement home who realizes something is very, very wrong with the residents and staff. While the vibes are Get Out, poor Davidson doesn't — at least, not before the old folks start making cryptic warnings (who the hell are the "marked ones"?!) and he's strapped to a gurney by sinister staff members. Did Disney's Bambi make you cry as a kid? Well, this low-budget horror flick, a part of the Twisted Childhood Universe that also includes films like Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey and Peter Pan's Neverland Nightmare, wants you to scream. You'll likely end up laughing at the absurdity of it all instead. Together, which stars married couple Dave Franco and Alison Brie, was a hit at this year's Sundance Film Festival. If you're a body horror fan, you'll love first-time filmmaker Michael Shanks's take on just how close a couple can get. Filmmaker Zach Cregger went for twist after twist with his 2022 film, Barbarian. Now he's back with Weapons, a film about the mysterious disappearance of a classroom of schoolchildren. Why did these kids run away in the middle of the night? Where did they go? And who is to blame? Josh Brolin, Julia Garner and Alden Ehrenreich play townspeople seeking answers. (First thought … has anyone considered checking for tunnels under the basement?)
