Sooraj Pancholi says actors pay ₹30 lakh to appear on popular podcasts: 'I have received such offer too'
It's a trend now for actors to make appearances on popular podcasts. In a recent interview however,
Sooraj Pancholi
said that actors pay to appear on podcasts, in many cases. Sooraj recently was seen in 'Kesari Veer' which starred
Suniel Shetty
. Sooraj has been elated for his comeback film, after he finally was acquitted from
Jiah Khan
's death case in 2023.
As he appeared on a recent podcast, he joked first about actors charging money for these interviews.
He said on Hindi Rush, "I have heard that there are a few actors who charge about ₹30 lakh to do a podcast. Is this true? I am just wanting to know because I have come here for free. Pay me at least ₹30,000."
The podcasters laughed and said that the tables have turned now. He responded, "Yes, I have heard that too, that the podcasters who have good viewership charge ₹30 lakh to get you on their podcast.
I have received such offer too. But it makes sense as they give you viewership. They have put immense hard work to grow their page so I think why not.'
In the same podcast, Sooraj also spoke about his time in Jail. He said, "They put me where they put

The idea was to have beautiful grey shades in this character, but it kind of started becoming… my character started becoming very one-dimensional, you know? I think it became more of a secondary character when I got onto it," she said. Looking back at her choices, Sonali compared her experience in Duplicate to her part in Zakhm. While she knew Zakhm featured Pooja Bhatt in the lead, she took on her role with full awareness because of her admiration for director Mahesh Bhatt and the strength of the story. She added, 'See, when I did Zakhm, I knew it wasn't the main character—I knew Pooja had that role. But it was a beautiful story with Bhatt Sahab, and I just wanted to be a part of it, so I did it. But when Duplicate was concerned, I was supposed to have had an equal amount, you know? And at that point, it started to feel like it wasn't the same kind of role anymore.
