Where to party for Miami Music Week. Plus traffic tips
Miami Music Week is back for a six-day, event-filled music marathon beginning tomorrow.
Why it matters: The annual event takes over the city, bringing together music lovers from around the world to enjoy just about every genre, but mainly EDM, techno and house.
The intrigue: The more than 200 events — including Ultra Music Festival at Bayfront Park — range from daytime parties to hotel pool parties to all-night raves.
Of note: MMW coincides with the last week of spring break — and the city of Miami Beach's crackdown on party crowds.
Traffic on the beach will likely be heavy, with increased police presence, blocked roads, increased parking fees and beach checkpoints.
Consider ride-hailing options for getting around.
We singled out a few parties to get your planning started.
Club Space: Kick off the week with Miami local and global house DJ and producer Hugel at the " Make The Girls Dance Records" party.

New Sylmar Park & Ride System Makes Getting to the Hollywood Bowl This Summer More Accessible originally appeared on L.A. Mag. A new park and ride system is now taking people from San Fernando Valley straight to the Hollywood Bowl, just in time for the Bowl's summer 2025 season. The service has about 15 locations throughout L.A. County, and its expansion to the Sylmar Metrolink Station makes attending events at the Bowl much more accessible. 'This is about making arts and culture accessible to every corner of L.A. County and connecting communities to the incredible experiences they deserve. This new service reflects our commitment to equity, sustainability, and joy — bringing music and performing arts closer to home for more Angelenos,' said Los Angeles County Supervisor Lyndsey Horvath in a media release. Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie's daughter Shiloh changes name amid feud with father
Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie's daughter Shiloh changes name amid feud with father Show Caption Hide Caption Shiloh Jolie granted request to drop dad Brad Pitt's last name Shiloh Jolie, the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has officially dropped Pitt from her last name. unbranded - Entertainment Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's second-eldest daughter Shiloh Jolie is debuting a new name. The A-listers' famous daughter debuted her name change during a rare appearance in Los Angeles for the launch of French fashion designer Isabel Marant's capsule collection for women with luxury company Net-A-Porter, according to a press release obtained by Page Six, L'Officiel and Variety. At the fête, she received choreography credits for an original dance number. Her new name? Shi Joli. Last year, Jolie, formerly known as Jolie-Pitt, was successful in legally removing Pitt from her last name. The 18-year-old's name change petition was originally granted in August by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge, according to a filing reviewed at the time by USA TODAY. Shiloh Jolie granted request to drop dad Brad Pitt's last name "There being no objections, the petition for change of name is granted," the order read. "The Decree is signed and filed. The Petitioner's name is changed from Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie." Nearly a year ago, Jolie filed the petition to use only her mother's maiden name on May 27, her 18th birthday, according to a court filing obtained by USA TODAY. As legally required in California, Jolie posted weekly public notices of her effort to change her name to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie in a newspaper prior to her scheduled hearing. Pitt, 61, and Jolie, 49, share six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Vivienne and Knox. In recent weeks, Pitt spoke out about his divorce from his former "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" costar. On May 28, GQ published a feature story on Pitt's latest film, "F1," and asked him about his December divorce settlement with Jolie following their eight-year battle in court. Pitt had a surprisingly toned-down response to the question about whether the finalized matter brought any "relief." "No, I don't think it was that major of a thing," Pitt told the magazine. "Just something coming to fruition. Legally." Contributing: KiMi Robinson

Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt's Daughter Shiloh Reintroduces Herself With New Name
What's in a name? For Shiloh Jolie, quite a bit. On May 30, Variety reported that the 19-year-old attended French designer Isabel Marant's capsule launch with Net-A-Porter. But she wasn't there as just another A-list offspring. She was a choreographer with a new name. Gone was 'Shiloh Jolie,' who reemerged simply as Shi and reportedly lent her choreography talents to the debut of singer-songwriter Luella's new single, 'Naïve.' This isn't the first evolution of the teen's identity. In 2024, she legally dropped 'Pitt' from her surname, becoming Shiloh Jolie — trimming the hyphen and, perhaps, some history. She's not alone. That same year, her younger sister Vivienne was credited as 'Vivienne Jolie' for her work on the Broadway musical 'The Outsiders.' It's unclear whether Vivienne's new surname has been made official, but the public-facing change was unmistakable. On May 29, Pitt broke his long silence on his lengthy divorce from Jolie. Asked if he felt relief now that the proceedings had ended, he replied: 'No, I don't think it was that major of a thing.' 'Just something coming to fruition. Legally,' he added. Jolie and Pitt share six children. Four still carry the surname 'Jolie-Pitt,' for now.
