Hollywood star Oliver Platt looks almost unrecognisable during rare public outing in New York
Hollywood star Oliver Platt was seen on a rare outing over the weekend in New York. Although the actor continues to star on television on the hit series Chicago Med, the 65-year-old keeps a low profile away from the screen, looking almost unrecognisable when not in character as Dr Daniel Charles. On Saturday, Platt was photographed looking thinner than usual as he made his way around the West Village in Manhattan. For his brisk walk, the actor wore a grey collared shirt, navy shorts, white crew socks and black leather sneakers. Platt may not be in the public eye as much, but he is still very present in the acting world. The actor is still in demand not only starring on Chicago Med and occasionally crossing over to its sister shows Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D., but he also stars in the award-winning drama The Bear. Luckily for Platt, the series starring Jeremy Allen White films on the same Chicago lot as Chicago Med, so he just has to make his way from one trailer to another. 'It was the craziest thing. Literally, [the script] just landed in my lap. I work on Chicago Med in Chicago and all of a sudden I was sent this script that was shot in Chicago,' Platt said in an interview with Gold Derby last year. 'It literally shot on the same freaking lot. A couple of times in the second season, I would start the day as a kindly psychiatrist and then step down from one trailer, walk about 200 yards, and become a sketchy, mysterious neighbourhood character with a heart of gold, shall we say,' he laughs about his shady character on The Bear, Cicero aka Uncle Jimmy. 'It's kind of fun, actually. And who should be so lucky? I'm the luckiest guy in showbiz,' he said. Platt's appearance on the weekend is a far cry from the star fans knew in the 90s who starred on big-screen winners such as Lake Placid, The Three Musketeers and Flatliners. The latter is psychological thriller about a group of medical students who would experiment by stopping their heartbeat to prove there is life after death. The drama also starred Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon, William Baldwin and Kiefer Sutherland. Platt went on to achieve success on the small screen too, receiving a total of five Primetime Emmy Supporting Actor nominations over the years for his work on Nip/Tuck, Huff and The West Wing.

Raygun a year on from Olympic controversy
Australian breakdancer Raygun is back in the spotlight one year on from her divisive performance at the Paris Olympic Games. Rachel Gunn made international headlines when she scored zero points for her breakdance in the sport's Olympic debut. Gunn, better known by her B-girl name Raygun, took to sport's most prestigious stage with moves that imitated hopping kangaroos, wriggling snakes and the Australian classic, sprinkler. Supplied Credit: Supplied About 12 months on from the infamous act, Raygun is the subject of an Australian Story investigation that delves into why the arts academic isn't celebrated despite being a sporting underdog. US breakdancing pioneer Michael Holman told the ABC there was a lot of backlash from the international breakdancing community because the performance was seen as culturally insensitive. 'The anger that came from Raygun's performance at the Olympics comes from a lot of different places,' he said. 'A slice of that pie came from people who knew what breaking was, saying, 'Wow, you know, that's not great breaking'.' He said breakdancing originated from marginalised teenagers with poor, working class black and Puerto Rican backgrounds. 'So her being white and Australian and jumping around like a kangaroo, that's going to be a loaded gun,' Mr Holman told the ABC. 'Whether she intended it or not, the end result was mockery.' Virgin Group founder Richard Branson was a huge fan of Raygun, inviting the Australian breakdancer on-board a Celebration Voyage through the Mediterranean after the Paris Games in 2024. The Virgin Group founder invited the Australian breakdancer on-board his Celebration Voyage cruise through the Mediterranean where she danced alongside the global businessman and pulled out the infamous kangaroo hop. Mr Branson said Raygun was plucky, brave, courageous and original. 'Hats off to her for being so bold and different. Since we have a couple of kangaroos on Necker, that move in particular certainly got me smiling,' he said. But the controversy did not end at the Olympics. Back in Australia about four months after the Olympic Games, a comedian was about to stage Raygun: The Musical when a legal storm erupted. Creator Stephanie Broadbridge cancelled the show after she was contacted by lawyers representing Raygun over fears it would damage her reputation. She later rebranded the show to Breaking: The Musical. The comedy club that was going to stage the show was also sent a letter demanding $10,000 from Raygun's lawyers. The comedian alleged the lawyers told her that she was not allowed to perform the dance moves because the kangaroo dance was owned by Raygun. Ms Broadbridge told the ABC that she was captivated at how Raygun handled the situation and was excited that a woman her age was behaving like that in public. 'She's the hero that Australia needed, the female Shane Warne. The one that's flawed but we love her anyway,' she said. 'I wanted to tell that story. I wanted an Australian larrikin story that was a woman.' Gunn declined to comment to Australian Story.

Censori has also not shied away from showing off her assets in leather loincloths, see-through tights and fishnet tops. Most recently, she wore a long-sleeve sheer top, micro shorts and heels while walking around NYC with West. Since reconciling, the Bound 2 rapper, who wed Censori in December 2022, doubled down that he was her 'master' and that 'every man needs himself a bianca' by reposting a fan message on X. 'she is a good woman that does whatever ye tells her to do without caring what anyone else has to say, the only thing she cares about is being a subservient extension to her master,' the tweet read.
