At 45-years-old, Tahir is still a T20 League globetrotter, most notably in the Caribbean Premier League where he captains the champions, Guyana Amazon Warriors. No 3: Nicky Boje 1995-2006 Innings: 179, Overall Wickets: 197, Tests: 100, ODIs: 96, T20s: 1, 5+ wicket hauls: 4 A versatile allrounder who contributed significantly with the bat too, especially in ODI's. The left-arm spinner's crowning moment was during the second Test against India in 2000 when he claimed 5/83 to bowl South Africa to a mammoth innings and 71-run victory. It paved the way for the Proteas' only ever Test series win in India. No 4: Hugh Tayfield 1949-1960 Innings: 61, Overall Wickets: 170 Tests: 170, ODIs: -, T20s: -, 5+ wicket hauls: 14 The lanky off-spinner was South Africa's No 1 spinner prior to the sanctions being imposed due to Apartheid in 1970. He was not a particularly big turner off the ball, but was exceptionally accurate. No 5: Tabraiz Shamsi 2016-2025 Innings: 126, Overall Wickets: 168 Tests: 6, ODIs: 73, T20s: 89, 5+ wicket hauls: 2 The left-arm wrist spinner had to wait a lengthy period for his chance while Imran Tahir was in possession of South Africa's specialist spinner's role. Unlike Tahir though, who was fairly conventional, Shamsi possessed a bag of tricks that ultimately saw him succeed his teacher. Primarily a white-ball specialist, and most effective in T20s, Shamsi rose to the No 1 on the ICC rankings in the short format for a period of time. He was eventually handed a Test debut in South Africa's sole pink-ball day-night Test in Australia, but continued to be much-sought after in T20 Leagues around the world.

Cooking for love: Tom Holland uses his chef brother's recipes to impress fiancée Zendaya
"Spiderman" actor Tom Holland cooks vegetarian meals for his wife-to-be Zendaya. Image: Instagram. Tom Holland is making sure his fiancée, Zendaya, is well fed, and it's all thanks to his brother, Sam Holland. In a recent interview, Sam, who is a chef and will soon be releasing his debut cookbook, said that he sends Tom tailor-made plant-based recipes for him to cook for his busy wife-to-be. "I'm especially proud of the veggie section. Zendaya has a plant-based diet, and I sent those recipes Tom's way as he was on dinner duty while she was making a movie in Boston. "He went through them one by one and really enjoyed them," Sam told the magazine. Sam, who often helms the family's Christmas dinners, insists that his recipes are easy and meant for any level of cook, even the "Spiderman" star. He said his brothers, including his twin Harry, their younger brother, Paddy, and Tom, could manage to make decent versions of these meals, even though "they are all probably a bit worse than beginner cooks". Next Stay Close ✕ The Holland brothers. Image: Instagram. Taking to Instagram, Sam shared: "'Kitchen Kickstart' is full of simple, delicious recipes to help anyone feel more confident in the kitchen. From meal prep tips to speedy dinners and fakeaway favourites, this book is all about making great food without the faff. "No fancy ingredients, no complicated techniques, just good food that fits into real life." However, back in December on the "Dish" podcast, the "Spider-Man" actor shared that he enjoys experimenting in the kitchen, particularly with vegetarian meals. He added that he is a "fine cook". "I'm starting to like, venture into a lot of vegetarian cooking. My girlfriend's vegetarian. I've been in Boston these past few weeks and she's been working, so I've been doing a lot of the dinners,' Tom explained at the time. Still, he admitted that not every dish was a win: "They haven't been great. There's been a few like, 'Let's just order in'." During the interview, Tom was asked about his favourite dish. He shared: "I actually love Zendaya's spicy vodka fusilli thingamajiggy that she does. It's delicious." Tom, who proposed to Zendaya in 2024, also credited his brother Sam for elevating the Holland family's culinary traditions. "My brother Sam is a chef, and each Christmas dinner is getting better and better and better. It's something that I always look forward to ... Bless him, it's a big undertaking, but he's getting great at it." Watch snippets of the podcast below.
