British woman dies in French Alps rafting accident
The incident occurred on Saturday afternoon on the Guisane river near Briancon in southeastern France.
The victim, born in 1956, fell from her raft and was later discovered on the riverbank. Emergency services transported her to Briancon hospital in critical condition, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Lozac'hmeur confirmed that a manslaughter investigation has been initiated, and an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
The firefighting service reported the woman was found unresponsive before being evacuated. - AFP

LONDON: Anti-migrant protests degenerated again late Sunday outside a London hotel housing asylum seekers, as rioters threw bottles and smoke bombs at the police. Police said they had arrested five people for "violent disorder" at the rally outside the Bell Hotel in the north-east London district of Epping. Anti-immigration riots shook the UK last summer after three girls were stabbed to death by a teenager in the north-western town of Southport, even though the suspect turned out to be British-born. Rioters had attacked hotels housing asylum seekers in several towns, including an attempt to set fire to an establishment in Rotherham, in north-east England.

In 1993, according to The New York Times, Trump allegedly groped swimsuit model Stacey Williams after Epstein introduced them at Trump Tower – a claim the president has refuted.
