River Cree to host first Canadian location of Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay's restaurant empire is expanding to the Edmonton area with Canada's first location of Hell's Kitchen, a spinoff of the reality show of the same name.

The restaurant, which features iconic beef wellington, among other tie-ins to the show, will be housed at the River Cree Resort & Casino just west of the city at Enoch.

'We are thrilled to be partnering with Chef Ramsay in opening the first Hell's Kitchen in Canada, here at the River Cree Casino,' River Cree CEO Vik Mahajan said in a release.

According to the release, Hell's Kitchen, known for its 'signature blend of bold flavours and flair,' will open in early 2026.

'I'm delighted to announce that my new Hell's Kitchen will be opening at the River Cree Resort early next year,' Ramsay said in a release.

There are seven Hell's Kitchen locations across the U.S., from Miami to Lake Tahoe.

While this will be the first location of that chain in Canada, Ramsay has a pair of restaurants in the Vancouver area, including Gordon Ramsay Burger in Coquitlam and Gordon Ramsay Steak in Richmond.

The first Hell's Kitchen restaurant opened in 2018. It's based on a competition-style reality series that premiered in 2005, during which competitors vie for the role of head chef at a restaurant.
