Taylor Swift reportedly chose to prioritize her family when her father, Scott Swift, went through a health scare. According to Rob Shuter's exclusive report, a family friend revealed that the singer 'camped out' at the hospital as her dad underwent quintuple bypass surgery. She was accompanied by her mother, Andrea, and brother Justin.
On July 16, Taylor's representative confirmed to TMZ that Scott had to go under the knife for a heart procedure. He reportedly underwent the surgery over a month ago and is recovering with his family by his side. The rep also confirmed that the operation wasn't the result of a heart attack but due to a few 'urgent blockages.'
A friend told #ShuterScoop that Scott's health scare was 'terrifying,' but the family 'caught it in time.' According to TMZ's report, the 73-year-old went for a routine check-up with his wife when the doctors sensed something was wrong, eventually leading to the quintuple bypass surgery. Fortunately, he is reportedly already on the road to recovery.
Taylor's inner circle told the outlet that the 'Cruel Summer' singer has immersed herself in daughter mode after getting to know of her dad's health scare. The source said that for the Grammy winner, 'family always comes first.'
Since completing her The Eras Tour in December, the singer has spent quality time with Travis Kelce in public and away from the spotlight. In May, she announced ownership of her masters after purchasing the recordings from Shamrock Capital.

WWE honors Hulk Hogan with another tribute on Monday Night Raw
WWE continues to pay tribute to one of its icons, Hulk Hogan. The wrestling company honored Hogan at the start of Monday Night Raw on July 28 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, four days after his death. The Raw roster came out in the arena to kick off the show, with WWE chief content officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque speaking about Hogan's impact of wrestling. "We lost one of the biggest and most globally recognized icons in the world. A man I grew up watching was fortunate enough to share the ring with and like so many of us were honored to call a friend," Levesque said. "He captivated millions of people and inspired them around the globe. We would not be standing here right now, all of us together, if it was not for him." The honorary 10-bell salute then rang as people in the crowd held up signs and chanted Hogan. Also with the roster was Hogan's son, Nick, and longtime friend and WCW collaborator Eric Bischoff. A tribute video also played highlighting the biggest moments of his Hogan's career, along with other moments outside of the ring. It was the second tribute for Hogan after one was done at Friday Night SmackDown on July 25, the day after his death. Hogan died at the age of 71 after he suffered a cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida. Considered one of the biggest wrestling stars in history, he was a six-time WWE Champion and inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice, in 2005 for himself and in 2020 as part of the New World Order. 36th annual Long Beach Jazz Festival postponed until 2026
The 36th annual Long Beach Jazz Festival has been postponed until 2026, according to the promoter. Rainbow Promotions said customers can either receive a refund for the event or have their payments rolled over to the new date. "We appreciate your understanding during this time, and we look forward to welcoming you in 2026 for what will be a truly spectacular celebration of music and community," Rainbow Promotions wrote on their website. "Thank you for your continued support." The Long Beach Jazz Festival was originally scheduled for Aug. 9 to Aug. 10 in the Marina Green Park. On its website, Rainbow Promotions that hte postponement was "due to circumstances beyond our control." "While we are incredibly excited about bringing the festival to its new home at the beautiful Long Beach Amphitheater by the sea, we feel this is the necessary step to ensure the best possible experience for everyone involved," promoters wrote. The event began in 1978 as the Queen Mary Jazz Festival. Visit Long Beach said the event typically brings a record number of attendees every year. KCAL News and CBS Los Angeles sponsored the event.

Comedian Bobby Lee theorizes he was one of the 'woke elements' cut from 'Sex and the City' spinoff
Stand-up comedian Bobby Lee said over the weekend that he believes he was cut from the "Sex and the City" spin-off to remove wokeness from the series. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly (EW) at San Diego Comic-Con 2025, Lee theorized that he wasn't brought back for the third season of "And Just Like That…" because producers were looking to get rid of the show's more "woke elements." "Some of the woke elements of the show, they got rid of, and I think I was a part of that. I think Sara [Ramirez] didn't come back and some other people," he said, mentioning his series co-star, who played actress Cynthia Nixon's non-binary love interest in the show. "They tried to put minorities in, and — I don't know. I never saw the show," he added. Lee played Jackie Nee, the co-host of Carrie Bradshaw's podcast, for the first two seasons of the HBO Max series. At the end of the second season, Bradshaw – played by Sarah Jessica Parker – left her podcast to focus on writing her novel. Her team of coworkers did not return for the follow-up season. HBO director of media relations, Erin Tresco, disputed Lee's theory that he was a victim of woke cuts. She told Fox News Digital that the reason Lee left the show was that "Carrie is no longer hosting a podcast, and instead focused on her novel, the storyline of characters involved in the podcast came to a conclusion." The comedian had only good things to say about Parker and his former cast mates, telling EW, "Sarah Jessica Parker is the nicest person I've ever met. She made me feel so at ease. I like everyone on there. It was fun. I never have bad blood with anybody. You know what I mean? I am nice. I show up on time." Lee, a former star of MADtv, stand-up comedian, and popular podcaster, told EW he's not quite sure why he got the "And Just Like That…" role in the first place. "Number one, I don't even know why they asked," he said. "And I was super scared to do it. Because it wasn't my brand, really. You know what I mean? But I did it. I walked through the fear." Critics pointed out the woke elements of the "Sex and the City" follow-up when it debuted on the HBO streaming platform in 2021. At the time, The Guardian critic Lucy Mangan wrote that the show's "onslaught of 'woke' teachings lends the show a smugly self-congratulatory rather than ironically self-aware air. This does nothing to make it sing like the original, which – even if it was narrow and elite – knew its world inside out and could allow the comedy and the drama to arise in ways that felt effortless." The New York Times also skewered the show's woke themes, suggesting they were pandering. The outlet's TV critic, James Poniewozik, wrote in 2021 that the series' diverse newcomers "don't pass the racial Bechdel test; they exist only in relation to the central trio, serving to challenge or affirm them while reassuring them and us that they're trying hard and mean well." Representatives for Lee did not immediately reply to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
