For those who missed the theatrical run, the film is set to release on ZEE5 from May 28, 2025 onwards. Set in the misty Malnad region of Karnataka during the late 1990s, the film is a murder mystery that explores themes of guilt, silence, and hidden truths within a quiet village.
The story unfolds in the peaceful village of Nalkeri, where Inspector Govindu, played by Rangayana Raghu, leads a simple life as both a policeman and a farmer. The tranquility is shattered when the local landlord, Srinivasaiah (Sharath Lohitashwa), is found dead under mysterious circumstances. What initially seems like a natural death soon turns into a rare

Uncovering secrets from the past
Govindu uncovers connections to an unresolved case from the 1970s, revealing long-buried secrets. The arrival of Rohit (Siddu Moolimani), who brings the village's first computer, introduces a new layer to the mystery. Rohit's digital correspondence with Arun, Srinivasaiah's estranged son, stirs emotions in the village, especially in Pankaja (Paavana Gowda), who is closely linked to the landlord's family.
The investigation gradually shifts from simply identifying a killer to uncovering the village's hidden past and the weight of unspoken guilt.
Agnyathavasi boasts strong performances from its ensemble cast, including Ravishankar Gowda as Ananthu, Govindu's pragmatic colleague, and supporting roles by Yamuna Srinidhi and Hari Samashti. The film's atmospheric cinematography by Advaitha Gurumurthy. The musical score is composed by

The actress was apprehended at Bengaluru airport on March 3 following allegations of attempting to transport 14.8 kilograms of gold from Dubai. According to official reports, a comprehensive physical examination revealed gold bars strategically hidden around her body using medical bandages and tissues, particularly around her waist and leg areas. Investigators also discovered additional gold pieces concealed within her footwear and clothing pockets. The confiscated precious metal, confirmed to be 24-carat quality, carried an estimated value exceeding Rs 12.56 crore. Legal proceedings have been initiated against Rao under both the Customs Act and the Prevention of Smuggling Activities Act. During recent court proceedings, Additional Solicitor General Aravind Kamath informed the court that formal objections had been submitted regarding the case. The court has scheduled the next hearing for June 18. The Special Court for Economic Offences had granted release to both Rao and co-accused Tarun Kondaru Raju last month, requiring each to provide two guarantors and post a Rs 2 lakh security bond. The release conditions included restrictions on international travel and prohibitions against repeating similar offenses. Justice Vishwanath C Gowdar approved the release after the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence failed to file charges within the required timeframe. However, the Cofeposa legislation enables authorities to maintain preventive detention for individuals suspected of engaging in smuggling operations or activities that could harm foreign exchange stability, effectively overriding the earlier bail decision. This legal mechanism has resulted in Rao's continued incarceration despite the court's initial approval for her release.

Housefull 5 advance booking: Akshay Kumar and his gang are all set to return to the big screen with Sajid Nadiawala's Housefull 5. The much-anticipated film has become a murder thriller this time with multiple endings, featuring multiple killers. It is said to be released on June 6. Ahead of its release, the advance bookings have predicted the fate of Housefull 5. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Housefull 5 has so far sold 96,304 tickets for 11,700 shows across India in all formats. It has collected ₹ 2.85 crore from its ticket sales. Considering blocked seats, Housefull 5 is set to premiere with ₹ ₹ 6.87 crore gross earnings. Regions like Maharashtra and the Delhi NCR dominated the list with maximum revenue of ₹ 1.62 crore and ₹ 1.24 crore respectively from first-day advance booking. Gujarat is right behind them with a revenue of ₹ 64.36 lakh on the list, followed by Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Telangana. Cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad have the highest number of screenings of the film. The film features an ensemble cast, including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Ranjeet, Johny Lever and the leading ladies Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa and Soundarya Sharma. Housefull 5 is billed as the most expensive installment of the Housefull series, and also the most expensive comedy film in India. The film's total budget is to be around ₹ 225 crore, without print and advertisement costs, suggested reports. However, the makers had shared earlier that the film was initially set with a budget of ₹ 350 crore. The budget came down after going through casting changes. It is produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under his production banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
