Sir Elton John is assisted off a boat in Italy before enjoying Al fresco meal with husband David Furnish after seemingly picking a side in Beckham family feud
The music legend, 78, and filmmaker husband, 62, jetted off to Nerano in Naples over the weekend.
Sir Elton- who has spoken out about health issues in recent years - was assisted as he disembarked from his boat.
He later joined husband David and a close group of friends for a meal at the renowned Lo Scoglio restaurant.
It comes after Elton and David appeared to pick their sides in the escalating Beckham family feud.
Despite being friends with David and Victoria Beckham for over 30 years, Sir Elton delivered a bombshell show of support for his godson Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz.
Last week, Brooklyn shared a besotted post dedicated to his US actress wife as he marked five years since he proposed, declaring it the 'best decision ever.'
And whilst there has been no social media likes from his parents, one of the top comments is from his godfather Elton who tagged the pair and wrote 'Happy Anniversary to the sweetest, most loving couple.'
His husband David had earlier added his own loving message, commenting 'Happy Anniversary to the gorgeous couple.'
Sir Elton and his husband's very public show of support will no doubt cause tension in the Beckham family home, considering their long-standing friendship with Brooklyn's parents.
David affectionately calls the musician 'Uncle Elton' after becoming friends in his football heyday.
Sir Elton was due to perform at the Beckhams wedding in 1999 before suffering a heart attack that prevented him from playing. He later sang at one of the children's christenings.
Meanwhile Victoria once disclosed that it was Elton who inspired her to say goodbye to the Spice Girls, penning an emotional letter to her older self where she confessed that watching her friend perform made her realise that her true calling lay beyond singing.
Victoria and David have recently reached out to their son with social media olive branches, tagging him in Father's Day posts.
But the family feud has continued to rumble on, with celeb friends now picking sides.
Nicola's fallout with her husband's family highlighted an unlikely alliance last week as Yolanda Hadid showed support for Victoria.
The actress, 30, dated Yolanda's son Anwar for around a year when he was 17 and she was 22 but their age-gap apparently concerned his family.
In a show of support Yolanda, 61, shared a love heart underneath David's knighthood announcement.
While there is no public history of a relationship between the two matriarchs, it is possible she understands what the family is going through after she suffered her own 'strained' relationship with the Bates Motel star during her romance with Anwar.
David told his children 'I will always be there, no matter what' in an emotional Father's Day Instagram post amid their ongoing family fallout.
He shared pictures of Victoria and their four children Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20, and Harper, 13, laughing and looking cheery in happier times.
Subtly reaching out to his eldest son, David insisted he will always be around to support Brooklyn even if times get tough.
He wrote: 'My most important & favourite job in life is being a dad... I'm so proud of all of you and like daddy ( sorry boys ) tells you every single day I will always be here for you no matter what...
