Art Week Riyadh: Celebrating Saudi Arabia's Flourishing Art Scene
Set to run from Sunday, April 6, until Sunday, April 13, the event covers several cultural venues in Riyadh, including the JAX District and the Al-Mousa Center.
Themed 'At The Edge,' Art Week Riyadh highlights the participation of local and international galleries, artists, and art enthusiasts from all over the world.
The main exhibition will delve into the cultural art landscape between the Kingdom and the whole world through various artworks from over 45 galleries.
Furthermore, it will revolve around three themes to highlight the close link between traditions and innovation, as follows: Everyday Life

During the event, Al-Mousa Center will host more than 15 special exhibitions.
Meanwhile, the JAX District will also introduce a trio of exhibitions in collaboration with pioneering cultural institutions and private collectors under the title of 'Collections in Dialogue.'
Apart from this, the event will hold several workshops and talks to discuss contemporary issues in the visual arts inside and outside the Kingdom.

Saudi Arabia has something special here, and the people are so welcoming.' Among the local talents who have found a home at Beast House is Rayan Charani, a 17-year-old Lebanese producer and singer who was born and raised in Riyadh. Passionate about pop and electronic music, Charani said the community spirit is what makes the space unique. 'The equipment is great, but it's really the people that make me want to come back,' he said. 'There's so much love here. It's a place that inspires me every day.' Charani's journey with Beast House began after attending XP Music Futures, MDLBEAST's annual conference. Introduced to the venue through industry connections, he soon became part of its creative family. 'Beast House showed me that music is not only about sound, but also about community,' he added. Beyond its studios, Beast House also features a fine-dining restaurant and social spaces designed to foster interaction. Visitors can expect everything from intimate conversations over mocktails to exclusive performances, panel discussions, and workshops led by industry figures. The venue is an extension of MDLBEAST's mission to build a thriving music ecosystem in Saudi Arabia. Since the launch of Soundstorm in 2019, the Kingdom's flagship music festival, the local industry has grown at a pace that demanded more permanent creative spaces. Beast House was created to meet that need — providing a year-round platform for talent development, networking, and cultural exchange. During Arab News' visit, it was clear that Beast House was not only a workspace but an experience in itself. The team has successfully created and curated an atmosphere where ambiance, decor, community, and people come together to offer something unique. Riyadh to Host Free Cultural Event to Celebrate 70th Anniversary of Saudi-Japan Diplomatic Relations
Riyadh will mark the 70th anniversary of Saudi-Japan diplomatic relations with a special Japan Festival on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, according to Arab News. Set to take place at Riyadh's Cultural Palace, the two-day free event will feature Japanese culture through several traditional performances, hands-on workshops, tourism experiences, as well as corporate booths. Interestingly, the event will host a special performance of traditional Japanese theater as part of the festivities. The Japanese embassy in Saudi Arabia announced that more details will be revealed soon. In February, Ambassador of Japan to Saudi Arabia Yasunari Morino celebrated the nation's 70 years of ties with the Kingdom in collaboration with the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force's Capt. Shinsuke Amano. Both officials hosted a special reception on Feb. 23, on board the Japanese vessel JS Bungo. Therefore, the event played a pivotal role in deepening the ties between the JMSDF and the Royal Saudi Naval Forces. Morino described the reception as a 'significant event,' marking the ship's first visit in seven years. He also noted that it stands as a testament to the friendly relations between the two countries.' Meanwhile, Amano expressed his delight at visiting the Kingdom and described it as 'leading the Arab and Islamic world and playing a pivotal role in peace and stability in the Middle East and beyond.' Amano also stressed Japan's dedication to maintaining regional stability and prosperity and developing the safety of maritime navigation.
