JOSEPH PARKER admits he's in the dark over his immediate fighting future, despite being the mandatory challenger for the WBO heavyweight title.
The New Zealander has been the mandatory challenger for the prestigious brown belt held by Oleksandr Usyk for over a year.

Parker's position as the WBO mandatory has, seemingly, put him in pole position to fight the winner of Usyk's undisputed straightner with Daniel Dubois at Wembley on Saturday night
But after being snubbed by Usyk in favour of a rematch with Dubois, the 33-year-old is refusing to count his chickens.
In an exclusive interview with SunSport, he said: "I know Frank Warren said a few things that I might be next to fight for undisputed unification.
"But there were no discussions. And for me, it's just words at the moment.
"It'd be nice to get something in writing and to get something solid. But at the moment, it's just words.
"If it can happen, I'll be extremely over the moon."
Usyk's fighting future is currently the talk of boxing fans, with many believing the 38-year-old could hang up his gloves this weekend.
The undefeated Ukrainian could, however, be tempted to stick around for a trilogy fight with rival Tyson Fury, who insists the pair are set to duke it out at Wembley next April.

Parker would love to test himself against the best heavyweight of his generation before he walks away.
So much so that he tried to convince the fan favourite to share the ring with him before he calls it quits during a chance encounter at a bareknuckle boxing event in Florence in April.
'Doesn't make sense' - Joseph Parker has theory for Daniel Dubois' last-minute withdrawal as Brit gears up to face Usyk
He said: "I saw Uysk in Italy last week. And I walked up to him and said,' Hey, you got two fights left.
"'Why don't you fight Dubois and fight me?' He just laughed it off. He didn't really reply.
"And then now, I'm seeing that he's calling out Tyson and [Anthony] Joshua for his last fight in his career."
Former WBO champ Parker has a theory for why Usyk wasn't receptive to his face-to-face callout.
He said: "Maybe he's looking for the bigger and sort of financial-making fights. I'm not quite sure."

Aussie boxing legend Jeff Fenech blasts Tim Tszyu for surrounding himself with 'clowns' who made sure he'll be known for something all fighters would be ashamed of

Aussie boxing icon Jeff Fenech has taken aim at Tim Tszyu's fight team following his world title loss to American Sebastian Fundora over the weekend, describing them as 'clowns'. Tszyu had been hunting redemption after losing a split-decision bloodbath to Fundora 16 months ago. Instead Australia's former WBO super-welterweight world champ is returning to Sydney with his international career at another crossroad following a despairing seventh-round TKO defeat. Fenech was left furious that Tszyu made the decision to not come out for the eighth round, instead of the corner calling it off. 'They never threw in the towel - he stopped it,' Fenech told Wide World of Sports. 'They should have thrown in the towel and they should have taken responsibility for that. 'These clowns made Tim make that decision. Tim after the seventh round, when he sat down and you looked in his eyes, you stop the fight for him. They let him say that he didn't want to fight anymore and a lot of people are laughing about it. 'I feel for Tim and the main reason why is because from round one, he went out and did exactly the same thing and nobody told him to change. They just think that this one style he's got, which has been successful, is the only thing that he's good at. 'It was sad to see such a great fighter only have a Plan A with no Plan B or C. All he did was the same thing every round and when he wasn't successful, you've got to change. 'There's levels in our sport. I feel very sorry for Tim, to see such a great talent wasted.' Saturday night's loss at the MGM Grand's Garden Arena was the 30-year-old's third from his past four bouts, after going unbeaten for his first 24 professional fights. Tszyu (25-3, 18KOs) may consider a move up to the light-middleweight ranks, or hope Keith Thurman lives up to his word after the US star called him out after slaying Brock Jarvis earlier this year in Sydney. 'He needs to sit down with his family and work out what they want to do - and then he needs to get the right team around him,' Fenech said. 'If they don't change, the same thing is gonna happen.' Former champ Shawn Porter believes Tszyu is finished by any means. 'He's not finished at the top level,' Porter said on Main Event. 'He can still get it done against elite guys; it's gonna happen back in Australia for a little while. 'I don't believe Tim Tszyu is done on the world stage, primarily because he still fought very hard, very courageously, and we're now at the stage in the sport where it's about what you can bring to the stands, not what your status is.'

Tearful Red Bull F1 staff ordered to ‘smile more' after being rocked by Christian Horner axe

TEARFUL staff rocked by Red Bull chief Christian Horner's axing have been ordered to 'smile more' by their new Austrian and German bosses. Loyal workers were stunned when the British Formula One team's supremo Horner, 51, was ousted following a stellar 20-year reign. 3 Red Bull staff have been told to 'smile more' despite being upset over Christian Horner's exit Credit: AFP 3 The ace was brutally fired earlier this month in a surprise meeting Credit: AP He helped Red Bull win eight drivers' championships and six constructors' crowns. And sources told SunSport new Austrian boss Helmut Marko upset staff who gathered to meet him at the team's HQ in Milton Keynes — with some now threatening to quit. A female Red Bull worker revealed: 'It was only a day after Christian was sacked and a lot of the team were still upset when Mr Marko addressed us. 'But he just made a joke of it and told us to cheer up — he said, 'You need to smile more'. READ MORE IN F1 'I'm open-minded' Verstappen hints at plans amid rumours he'll quit Red Bull for Mercedes 'It didn't endear him to anyone as what is there to smile about?' Horner's roles as chief executive officer and team principal have been usurped by Austrian team adviser Marko, 82, and German ex-football official Oliver Mintzlaff, 49. While French engineer and motorsport exec Laurent Mekies, 48, was quickly unveiled as Horner's replacement last week. But insiders have insisted Mintzlaff and Marko are now the men in the driving seat — and revealed their first address to staff at Milton Keynes was a 'car crash'. BEST FREE BETS AND BETTING SIGN UP OFFERS Mintzlaff sparked more anger when he joked about the brutal axing of senior staff including Horner, chief marketing officer Oliver Hughes and director of communications Paul Smith. Horner was summoned to London on July 9 believing he was attending a regular team meeting. Christian Horner SACKED by Red Bull F1! Shock Departure After 20 Years But he was then relieved of his duties on the spot and put on gardening leave. Hughes and Smith were called into an office and also told they were no longer part of Red Bull's future. They were escorted out of the building after having their company devices taken from them — leaving hundreds of staff with no bosses to answer to. And another staff member told SunSport: 'Mintzlaff also said, 'If you have any problems, just text your line manager'. 'Then he added, 'Oh, and if you don't have a line manager any more, just text me!' and started laughing.' Red Bull supremo Horner knew nothing of the plans to get rid of him, 18 months after he was accused of a sexting scandal which broke the heart of his Spice Girl wife Geri, 52. And the £12million-a-year chief was replaced within 24 hours by Marko and Mintzlaff, who arrived to address staff members, 90 per cent of whom are British. Emotional Red Bull insiders spoke in depth for the first time yesterday over their shock at the loss of their boss. They also laid bare the chaos that is now gripping this once all-conquering F1 team. 3 And long-standing family friends who have spoken to Horner admitted he was left stunned by his ruthless removal. One told SunSport: 'Christian told me how hurt and betrayed he felt after all that he and Geri and their family have been through over the past 18 months. 'He was cleared twice over the texting scandal but is now on gardening leave and has still been given no explanation why he's lost the job he loved. 'Red Bull's Austrian bosses have always resented the fact that so much of their F1 success was down to a team that Christian built in Britain. 'That is what lies behind this — as well as the hangover from the terrible headlines last year. 'Christian was called to a London meeting and had no idea what it was about. 'He was just told, 'You have to be there' and was dumbfounded when he was ushered into a room and effectively sacked on the spot. 'It left him totally blindsided — he thought he'd been called in to speak about another issue. 'But the staff are nearly all Brits and are fiercely loyal to him and are now talking about walking out. 'It was a targeted attack for control of the race team because Red Bull's Austrian HQ didn't like a British man running their race team. 'But now the team is in chaos — Red Bull at Milton Keynes has hit the skids.' Red Bull's Austrian-based HQ was approached for comment yesterday.
