Secrets to Eddie Hall's stunning body transformation including carnivore diet as he sheds SEVEN STONE for MMA debut

The Sun25-04-2025

EDDIE HALL has lifted the lid on his incredible body transformation for his mixed martial arts debut.
The Brit man mountain will make his professional MMA bow on Saturday night in a titanic tussle with fellow World's Strongest Man winner Mariusz Pudzianowski at KSW 105.

Hall dipped his toes into the MMA waters last year with a freak show 2-vs-1 fight with the Neffati brothers, whom he scored a DOUBLE TKO victory over.
The 37-year-old tipped the scales at little over 26 STONE for the circus clash, which came three years after his boxing match with fellow strongman Hafthor Bjornsson.
On Friday morning, Hall weighed in at just shy of 24 stone, a weight he's achieved by ditching carbs and adopting the highly popular Carnivore Diet.
He told Bloody Elbow: 'I just eat nothing but meat, eggs and dairy on the carnivore diet for this fight prep.
'It's been a pretty good diet, helped me to maintain all of my muscle mass and I've dropped body fat.
"My energy levels are through the roof, my endurance is insane so that's pretty much been the diet."
Hall used to weigh a whopping 31 STONE during his World's Strongest Man days, a weight he achieved with a staggerng 12,000-calorie-a-day diet.
In recent years, he's cut his daily intake to 10,000 calories, although he hasn't reduced it ahead of his Polish punch-up with Pudzianowski.

He said: 'I've not restricted what I eat at all, I just eat meat, eggs and dairy and as much of it as I want. The body fat's come off.
"When I started the prep I was 170kg and I'm down to 158kg.
"I might even lose a bit more and be strict, that would get me to fighting at around 155-156kg.
'I feel good and the main thing about it is that with my training, it's not about the weight but how fit I am.
"Am I doing these four-minute rounds and being able to recover within 90 seconds to go again?
"At the minute, I can say yes. I've got no intention to lose too much weight because the cardio is there.'
Hall is a huge underdog going into the bout as he's giving up nearly 16 years' worth of MMA experience to KSW veteran Pudzianowski, who will put his cardiovascular capabilities to the test.
But in an interview with talkSPORT, Hall insisted: "I've been doing the four-minute rounds. I'm not gassing, I'm big, I'm strong.

'I've never heard a fighter say, 'I wish I was weaker for that fight'.
"So I've got no intention to lose weight, muscle mass or whatever.
'I can fight, I've got the lung capacity and I'm happy to go in at this weight.'
Pudzianowski plans to push Hall to his absolute limits, warning 'The Beast': "Eddie, you're in for a lot of hard work.
"I'm not going to give up easily You know it well that I fight until the very end.
"You're about to see what lack of oxygen means. This is not boxing, this is MMA."

George Russell's X-rated message after Canada pole sets up another battle with Max Verstappen

It was the first pole for the Mercedes driver this season. Oscar Piastri finished third — but it was a horror show for his McLaren team-mate Lando Norris, who was down in seventh. Russell said: 'It was awesome. To get the pole, that last lap was one of the most exhilarating of my life. 'This lap is mighty and to cross the line in P1 was a real surprise — but I was so chuffed with it.' READ MORE F1 NEWS The pits Abandoned F1 track overgrown and covered in rubbish 13 years after last race It was sweet revenge for Russell, who was deliberately driven into by Verstappen in Barcelona last time out. That earned the Dutchman three points on his licence — and the four-time world champion now needs to be on his best behaviour in Canada this weekend as he is just one penalty point away from suspension. When asked about Verstappen, Russell added: 'We're mates, it's all good. 'I've got a few more points on my licence to play with!' The 27-year-old said: 'I felt good all weekend — the car was actually in a good window. George Russell furiously hits back at Max Verstappen after the F1 world champion's stinging criticism of him 'I'm very happy with qualifying. I'm already very happy with what we achieved to be on the front row.' Norris was the culprit of a major cock-up in Q3 as he went well wide on his first lap in the final session and failed to record a lap time. The big error from the McLaren driver meant he had to have two more goes at recording a lap time, having already put their tyres through their paces. Italian teenager Kimi Antonelli bagged fourth, while Lewis Hamilton made it into fifth ahead of sixth-placed Fernando Alonso. It came down to the wire and pole position could not be called as Russell fired a warning shot, notching the fastest time in Q2 just ahead of Norris. Verstappen showed you can write him off at your peril as he flew into provisional pole ahead of Piastri in the final session. Yet Aussie Piastri said: 'After how practice went, I'm pretty happy with myself at the moment. I'm already very happy with what we achieved to be on the front row. George Russell 'I'm pretty happy with third, which is a bit different, but I'll take it here.' Alex Albon's engine cover bizarrely flew off his Williams six minutes into Q1 and brought a red flag so debris could be cleared from the track. The cover flew off down the back straight and he nearly lost control into the final chicane due to less downforce. And there was beef between Carlos Sainz and Isack Hadjar in the first session as the Williams driver was booted out in 17th as he felt the Racing Bulls rookie 'massively impeded him'. Williams team principal James Vowles said: 'It's frustrating. Disrupted session, but we had a fast car. 'That's just a car that's staying on line and clearly not aware of what's around him. 'Hadjar, I'm sure, will receive a penalty. We will focus on Alex now.'

Jude McAtamney from Derry in Northern Ireland was Gano's back-up last season. All of which made long-snapper Kreiter, from Iowa, the odd man out as a non-Brit. But Kreiter made sure he'll always have a piece of Scotland - much to the amusement of Gillan, who hails from Forres. Gillan, 27, said: 'I would say Graham is like family. I absolutely love that guy. 'Same with Jude who's fitted right in with this little band that we have going on. 'That's three foreigners and Casey, who even bought a square foot of land in Scotland - just so he can be one of us! 'He came into the lunch hall one day and said: 'Hey, just want to let you know you can call me Lord Kreiter from now on'. And he even changed his locker room nameplate to 'Lord Kreiter'! 'It's great, you've got to have fun because game days can be stressful. Scottish NFL star Jamie Gillan's best moments as fans back him for Pro Bowl 'It's important to create this atmosphere in our little room of three or four guys by laughing and joking at the right time. 'We all rely on each other to do our jobs perfectly for one guy to do their job well.' Gillan, whose NFL career began at Cleveland Browns, has penned a new $10m three-year contract with the Giants. He's established as one of the league's top punters - 12 years after first starting American football in high school in Maryland. His RAF squadron leader dad Colin had uprooted the family from the Highlands following a job transfer to the States. Gillan is now dad to two-year-old Archie and his Ohio wife Casey is expecting their second son this summer. He's living the American dream but his sporting roots from Scotland will never leave him. The former teen rugby star for Merchiston Castle in Edinburgh loves educating pals and teammates about his first love. 'I'm looking forward to the Lions tour coming up and I watch the Six Nations every year,' said Gillan. 'Rugby is hard to get live out here but the Six Nations is streamed on Peacock, which is great. 'I get my buddies over to the house; we cook up a big breakfast and the first game starts at 9am. 'There's a few who have a rugby team Cleveland and enjoy it as well. 4 Punter Gillan was a teen rugby star and still follows the sport from the US Credit: Getty 'When I streamed the World Cup a couple of years ago, I had it on in the locker room. 'Guys were sitting around watching it noticing: Wow, they can only pass the ball backwards! 'Trying to explain to them is fun. They think it's mad. I think Scotland has a solid team right now. 'Finn Russell is electric, the pack is awesome. With Duhan Van Der Merwe and Darcy Graham on the other side, they've got some phenomenal players and are playing really well.' Giants are a long way from the glory days when Greenock-born kicker Lawrence Tynes helped them win the Super Bowl in 2008 and 2012. They've a tough task when the season begins in September after winning three of 17 games last year. Their NFC East division is a killer with reigning Super Bowl champs Philadelphia Eagles, last season's surprise package Washington Commanders and Dallas Cowboys. But they've added defensive star Abdul Carter through the draft and veteran quarterback Russell Wilson who won a Super Bowl with Seattle Seahawks. And Gillan reckons the right spirit is already stirring in their practices to hint at a better 2025. He said: 'As a team, we need to keep working hard to get more wins under our belt. 'Personally, there were ups and downs last season and I want to get more consistent. 'We can only control what we do in this building. If we do that the right way, create relationships and gel as a team, you can be unstoppable - no matter who you're playing against. 'That's what this time of year is for. Working out, working hard, practicing on the field. 'And a few of us golfing, playing darts and pool or getting dinner together. Our locker room vibe has been great. 'People underestimate the importance of those relationships before the real hard work comes round in July.' Keep up to date with ALL the latest news and transfers at the Scottish Sun football page

‘Need to cut him' – Fans call for UFC star Rodolfo Bellato to be AXED by Dana White after controversial ‘dive'

UFC fans have called for Dana White to axe Rodolfo Bellato for seemingly pretending to be knocked out by an illegal upkick from Paul Craig. The pair's rescheduled light-heavyweight showdown in Atlanta ended in a No Contest this morning after the Brazilian was deemed unable to continue after being kicked in the face. 6 6 6 6 Scottish submission specialist Craig struck a postured-up Bellato - who had one knee on the canvas - with the kick seconds before the end of the first round. Bellato initially looked like he'd been knocked out by the strike as he lay on the canvas with his arms sprawled out. But replays showed the Dana White 's Contenders Series contract winner was still conscious as he theatrically fell to the mat. Bellato seemingly regained consciousness very quickly and, in an apparent daze, tried to protect himself by scooting his back to the cage wall. The former LFA champion was deemed unable to keep fighting, resulting in the contest being ruled a No Contest. MMA fans weren't convinced Bellato was genuinely hurt by the upkick and took to X to call for the UFC to cut the 29-year-old for play-acting. One wrote: "Rodolfo Bellato faked a brutal KO just to try and get a cheap win over Paul Craig. "What a complete embarrassment!!! The UFC needs to cut him immediately." Absolutely insane." Paul Craig Admits He Faces UFC AXE If He Loses UFC Vegas 106 Bout One remarked: "Bro protested and faked being concussed all in the space of five seconds. Embarrassment to the sport." Another chimed in: "Yeah, Dana should fire this guy immediately. Who does that?" One stunned viewer said: "That dive by Bellato was top tier." Craig addressed the narrative that Bellato flopped in his post-fight press conference, saying: "A few people messaged me regarding this. I don't want to think any fighter is looking for an easy way out in this sport." Paul Craig on Rodolfo Bellato's apparent playacting "And they're saying that it looked a bit floppish, like he was maybe hamming it up. 'I don't want to think any fighter is looking for an easy way out in this sport. We're all fighters. "We're all in the UFC, the pinnacle of our careers, and we're looking to put on a performance. 'But I can see where people are looking at and think it looks a bit 'floppishly', 'he's maybe taking a dive.' 'I don't really think that, but I'll need to watch it back. It's raw at the moment.'
