Rapha, Patta return with second cycle/streetwear collection
After a successful debut collaboration, cycle specialist Rapha and Team Patta return for a second design chapter with a new collection that brings with it 'attitude'.
The latest release, launching 23 May, combines 'high-performance design and storytelling, blending Rapha's refined functionality with Patta's visual identity'.
It builds on the earlier collection that introduced a Patta Cycling Team that 'reaffirmed a shared commitment to increase people of colour (POC) presence in cycling'.
This new collab 'broadens both the aesthetic and the purpose of the partnership, reflecting a zest for life and the sense of community that riding a bike can unlock'.
Designed in collaboration with Patta's creative director Vincent van de Waal, the limited edition design features the words 'Lobe Libi', Surinamese for 'love life'.
It features a fresh collection of riding apparel, accessories together with off-bike essentials, such as hoodies and T-shirts 'blurring the lines between high-performance gear and streetwear'.
Key styles for men and women include pro team jerseys, bib shorts, hoodies, T-shirts, caps and sunglasses.
Anna McLeod, senior partnerships manager at Rapha, said: 'We can all be guilty of watching the clock and measuring ourselves and our progress almost religiously – cyclists especially. But this Rapha + Patta collection is about being energised by, and finding happiness in simple things like exploring a city, waking up to see the sunrise, or spinning around on your bike with friends.'
