SAVANNAH, Ga. - Authorities are searching for a missing 3-year-old girl believed to be in extreme danger after being taken without permission during a supervised visit in Savannah.
A statewide Levi's Call, Georgia's Amber Alert System for missing and abducted children, has since been issued.
What we know
According to the Savannah Police Department, Leilani Elliott was last seen around 10:20 a.m. Thursday near 825 Wheaton Street and was believed to be with Jessy Elliott. Investigators say the child was taken from the 900 block of Wheaton Street without authorization during a supervised visit.
Jessy Elliott was last spotted around 10:45 a.m. walking east on Wheaton Street toward East Broad Street.

Authorities initially reported the pair may be traveling in a white Nissan Altima, model year 2020 to 2022, headed eastbound on Wheaton Street.

A 79-year-old woman was critically hurt after being hit by a car on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Lake County Sheriff's Office. The office said just before 2 p.m., deputies responded to Big Hollow Road near Leonard Avenue, where they found the woman seriously hurt. Initial reports indicated that a Nissan Altima, driven by a 41-year-old Wood Dale woman, was traveling eastbound on Big Hollow Road when she hit the victim, who had been walking in the roadway. Head-on collision in Stephenson County kills two, including former WNBA star's mother
The Stephenson County Sheriff's Department is investigating an Aug. 9 head-on collision in rural Stephenson County that claimed the lives of two people, including a longtime Freeport resident who was the mother of a former WNBA star. The crash took place at 12:38 p.m. on Illinois Route 26 near Oneco Road in rural Orangeville. According to a news release from the sheriff's department, a preliminary investigation indicates that a Nissan Altima, driven by Rolando Ico-Choc, 30, was traveling south on Illinois 26 when it entered the northbound lane and collided head on with a Ford Edge, driven by Darcy Connolly-Brunner, 61. The release states that Ico-Choc was a Guatemalan national who had been living in Freeport, and Connolly-Brunner was a resident of Freeport. There were no other occupants in either vehicle. Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene, the release states. Sheriff's deputies are investigating whether alcohol impairment by Ico-Choc was a factor in the crash. There is no indication that Connolly-Brunner was impaired, the release states. Toxicology tests are being conducted. The crash is under investigation by the Illinois State Police Traffic Crash Reconstruction Unit. Several agencies responded to the crash including the Orangeville Fire Department, Winslow FireDepartment, Cedarville Fire Protection District, Leamon's Ambulance Service and the Stephenson County Coroner'sOffice.
