DPIIT signs MoU with Hero MotoCorp to boost early-stage startups in mobility, clean tech, and deep tech
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hero MotoCorp Limited to support and scale early-stage startups and entrepreneurs through its innovation accelerator programme, Hero For Startups .
Under the Startup India initiative, the collaboration will focus on startups engaged in the future of mobility, clean technology, and deep technology. Selected startups will gain exclusive access to Hero MotoCorp's global R&D facilities in Germany and India, its extensive dealer and supplier network, and industry mentorship. They will also have the chance to work on paid Proofs of Concept (PoCs), enabling successful pilots and providing valuable market exposure.
Speaking on the partnership, DPIIT Joint Secretary Sanjiv highlighted that the initiative aims to connect industry experience with grassroots innovation, particularly benefiting emerging technologies and entrepreneurs from Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets. Hero MotoCorp Executive Chairman Dr. Pawan Munjal stated that the move aligns with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 , emphasizing the company's role as both an industry leader and a nation-builder committed to fostering India's entrepreneurial ecosystem.
The MoU was signed by DPIIT Director Dr. Sumeet Jarangal and Hero MotoCorp Global Innovation Portfolio Lead Utkarsh Mishra, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations. The partnership is expected to contribute to innovation-led industrial growth, supporting national initiatives like Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat .

New business joins Green Bay Start-Up Hub, fostering entrepreneurial growth
GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Entrepreneurs in the Green Bay area often find themselves starting in an office at the Start-Up Hub on NWTC's campus, with continuous waves of aspiring business owners joining a community that many love. Tuesday, community leaders and members of the Greater Green Bay Chamber gathered to celebrate a new business coming into the building. Red Cross delivers aid from Green Bay to flooded Milwaukee neighborhoods 'The Start-Up Hub, the Chamber itself, is focused around growth, talent and impact, and the Start-Up Hub is no exception to that,' said Shane Kanneberg, director of entrepreneurship and startups at the Greater Green Bay Chamber. 'We really do help businesses launch their businesses, grow and become staples in our community.' The hub brings together entrepreneurs in a collaborative space, allowing them to network and find their footing in a growing community right here in Green Bay. 'I think this is a great first step. You don't want to do this blindly — you want to have a plan, you want to line up a board of advisors, you want to talk to customers and make sure that whatever you are planning to do, there is a demand for it,' said State Sen. Jaime Wall.
