"Our country was sold to Soviet Russia under the leadership of Gandhi family": BJP MP Nishikanth Dubey slams Cong over alleged foreign funds
Citing a CIA document, Dubey reiterated his allegations that under the leadership of the late Congress leader HKL Bhagat, the Soviet Union funded more than 150 Congress MPs, and Congress candidate Subhadra Joshi took Rs 5 lakhs from the German government from 1977-80.

Dubey further alleged that the US Ambassador Moynihan mentioned in his book that he gave money to former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
The BJP MP said, 'What I said today is that on 10 May 1979, there was a discussion in Rajya Sabha, in the book written by the US Ambassador Moynihan mentions that he gave money to Indira Gandhi twice, there was a full debate on this in Rajya Sabha and I have mentioned the phone conversation between Nixon and Kissinger, in which they are talking about giving money, how Congress can be managed, how the government can be managed. All these things are alarming.'
He alleged that apart from former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's term, till 2014, the Indian government has been run by the CIA or KGP.
'When Manmohan Singh's government was formed in 2004, RAW Joint Director Rabinder Singh was sent away and till date his whereabouts are not known. All this shows that till 2014, leave aside only 5-6 years of Atal Bihari Vajpayee's term, this government was either run by KGB or CIA and Congress and the entire Gandhi family were puppets of these two agencies and this was unfortunate for the country,' he added.
Earlier, Dubey made these allegations on X and wrote, 'Congress, Corruption, and Slavery. This unclassified secret document was released by the CIA in 2011. According to it, under the leadership of the late Congress leader HKL Bhagat, more than 150 Congress MPs were funded by Soviet Russia, acting as agents for Russia?'
He further alleged that during the Congress regime, 1100 people from the Russian intelligence agency were in India and they kept bureaucrats, business organisations, communist parties, and opinion makers in their 'pockets'.

Sitharaman proposes partnering with European Investment Bank on digitalization
Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday met Nadia Calvino, president of the European Investment Bank (EIB) Group, and proposed partnering with the bank to take India's digitization expertise to third countries. They met on the sidelines of the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4) in Seville, Spain. Discussions were held on wide-ranging issues, including EIB's expanding portfolio in India—seven metro projects and an urban rail project—and diversifying in other sectors such as water and sanitation. Digital diplomacy Recognizing India's strength in digitalization and its role in promoting economic growth and inclusivity, the finance minister and Calvino also discussed the scope for partnering in third countries in this field and other areas. Calvino looked forward to further strengthening of partnership between EIB and India. The meeting with EIB followed Sitaraman's meeting with Dr. Shane Reti, Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, Universities, Statistics and Pacific Peoples, New Zealand, on Monday evening at the same event. The ministers discussed cooperation in defence, education, technology and agriculture, and shared values rooted in democracy, rule of law, and robust people-to-people ties. Sitharaman discussed the world-class opportunities available at GIFT-IFSC in banking, bullion exchange, capital markets, funds ecosystem, FinTech, insurers and (re)insurers. The Union Finance Minister shared India's interest in diversifying exports to Peru, especially in automobiles, pharmaceuticals, textiles, engineering goods, and IT services; and valued imports of critical minerals such as copper and lithium from Peru - potentially key to India's energy transition and industrial growth. With the German minister Radovan, Sitharaman discussed various areas of collaboration under the India-Germany Green and Sustainable Development Partnership including renewable energy, urban mobility, sustainable urban development and sustainable livelihoods through ecology.

Amit Shah says new criminal laws affordable, accessible and approachable
New Delhi: Union home minister Amit Shah said on Tuesday that Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam (BSA) are 'affordable, accessible, and approachable' and make the judicial process 'simpler, more consistent, and transparent', while adding that the new laws will 'fundamentally transform the Indian criminal justice system in the coming days'. (PTI) Speaking at an event in Delhi to mark the completion of one year of new criminal laws, which replaced the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) and Indian Evidence Act on July 1 last year, the home minister added that with the full implementation, which may take three years, and use of technology, 'our justice system will become the most modern justice system in the world'. 'The three new criminal laws introduced under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be affordable, accessible, and approachable, while also making the judicial process simpler, more consistent, and transparent. A golden era of governance based on social, economic, and political justice is about to begin. In the coming days, our criminal justice system will enter a new era, which will definitely instil a strong sense of trust among the people that justice will be delivered promptly. The new laws will replace the fear of 'what will happen if I file an FIR' with the confidence that 'filing an FIR will lead to immediate justice',' Shah said. 'The new criminal laws will fundamentally transform the Indian criminal justice system in the coming days. After the full implementation in nearly three years, justice in the country will be delivered all the way up to the Supreme Court, starting from filing of the FIR,' he added. Sharing details of implementation of new laws across the country, Shah said around 14.80,000 cops, 42,000 jail personnel, more than 19,000 judicial officers and more than 11,000 public prosecutors have been trained in the last one year. About 23 states have 100% completed their capacity building pertaining to the new laws and notifications of e-evidence and e-summons have been issued by 11 states and union territories, Shah said. Among the states and UTs, Delhi has done the best in implementing these laws quickly, he added. The new criminal laws replaced the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) and Indian Evidence Act, the British-era laws that formed the basis of the criminal justice system in India for over 150 years. The government has hailed the new laws as the biggest justice-focused reform in the history of India. Some of the key changes in the new laws are the ability to file a complaint anywhere, online registration of such complaints, the issue of summons through electronic modes such as SMS, mandatory videography of crime scenes for all heinous crimes, and 20 years of punishment in gang rape cases (a possible death penalty if the victim is below 12 years of age). The laws recognise new crimes such as mob lynching and allow trial in absentia of fugitive criminals. They also repeal archaic provisions such as homosexuality, adultery, attempt to commit suicide and sedition .
