Diddy Allegedly Offered Cassie's Friend $30,000 After Hitting Her With A Hanger, Leaving Her Concussed
As Sean "Diddy" Combs' federal trial continues, one of Cassie's friends took the stand on Monday, May 19, and recounted her alleged interaction with him.
According to Kerry Morgan, a friend of Cassie (Diddy's ex-girlfriend), after allegedly being concussed by the rap mogul in 2018, she accepted a $30,000 payment in exchange for her silence.
While testifying in Diddy's trial, Morgan, 39, recounted several experiences where she allegedly witnessed the "Hello Good Morning" rapper assault Cassie, whom he dated on-and-off from 2008 to 2018.
Morgan also opened up about her own alleged experience with Diddy, claiming the rapper assaulted her during a fit of rage while she was at his home in 2018.
"He came up behind me and choked me and left finger marks on my neck and hit me in the head with a wooden hanger," Morgan told the court, according to NBC News. "Cassie was in the bathroom. It hit me behind my right ear."
Morgan further explained that Diddy's alleged actions left her concussed and "dizzy," causing her to vomit several times.
Following the interaction, Morgan testified that she hired a lawyer; however, she never filed a lawsuit against Diddy. Instead, she accepted a $30,000 payment from the rapper and signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
"We haven't spoken since," Morgan said. "The last time I spoke to Sean was the night of the assault, and the last time I saw Cassie was when I signed the NDA."
Throughout the first week of testimony in Diddy's federal trial, which began on May 12, the jury heard several allegations about Diddy's physically abusive behavior.
On Monday, Morgan also testified that she witnessed this alleged behavior on two separate occasions: once in Los Angeles and once in Jamaica. During their trip to Jamaica, Morgan testified she saw Diddy "dragging" Cassie by her hair after hearing "guttural" and "terrifying" screams from the singer.
She explained that after that incident, Diddy allegedly dragged Cassie outside, where she hit her head on a brick. However, they were able to escape on one of his golf carts and hid in a ditch as Diddy reportedly searched for them.
During the second incident, Morgan told the court that she was inside Diddy's Los Angeles home when she saw him allegedly hit and kick his then-girlfriend. Morgan testified that she urged Diddy's security to "do something," but he refused.
Following that situation, Morgan and Cassie went to a neighbor's home to hide, where they heard Diddy driving by to look for them.
On a recent episode of Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes' new podcast, Aubrey O'Day, who worked with Diddy from 2005 to 2009 as part of Danity Kane, discussed the ongoing trial involving her former boss.
She praised Cassie, who spent all of last week recounting harrowing details about her alleged interactions with Diddy, for being "open" and "vulnerable" with her story.
"Sometimes I hear her discuss things that she did then and how now she would never, she understands it differently, and that makes me feel like so happy for her that she's come, you know, because I don't know her as a mom, so like to understand that she made that evolution and went to the other side of viewing all of it made me feel like really proud of her," she said.
O'Day, who's been open about her rocky relationship with the rap star in the past, then slammed him for being a "selfish" father for allowing his kids to be present during the trial.
'The fact that the kids are marching up to that court, praying over everything, and walking in with a bunch of women also that are encouraging it,' O'Day said.
'I don't know any father that would want their children to sit through testimony about how much their daddy liked to watch people [get] lubricated, f-cking, getting pissed on and urinated in their mouths, having his girlfriend come in the other room and rub their c-m all over his nipples,' she continued, referring to statements Cassie made during her time on the stand.
'You're a father first, and as a father, I just wouldn't want my two girls that are only a year younger than [Cassie] was when he started dating her, 19,' the "Damaged" singer said. 'I believe the girls are around 18. I would not ever want my child to hear anything like that.'
O'Day, also known for her roles in different reality shows, including "Marriage Boot Camp," further stated Diddy's choice to have his children in the courtroom while witnesses recount his alleged salacious deeds was "telling" to her.
"It means that [Diddy's] being selfish and he needs, in my opinion, it feels like, 'Daddy needs you in court because daddy needs all the optics to look in his favor,' and I don't really care what you have to sit through," she added.

NEW YORK (AP) — The fourth week of Sean 'Diddy' Combs ' sex trafficking trial featured testimony from the second of two ex-girlfriends who are crucial witnesses in the government's quest to prove sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges against the hip-hop mogul. Combs, the founder of Bad Boy Records, has pleaded not guilty in the trial, which resumes Monday. Here are key moments from the past week: Hotel worker says Combs sought video of Cassie beating Fearing career ruin, Combs delivered $100,000 in cash to a security guard for a Los Angeles hotel in return for assurances that he was given the only security footage of Combs' 2016 attack on then-girlfriend Casandra 'Cassie' Ventura, the security guard testified.
