As momentum builds towards this weekend's historic Black Sabbath Back To The Beginning show in Birmingham, news has broken that frontman Ozzy Osbourne is launching a line of beauty products in conjunction with Birmingham company Jolie Beauty.
"It's such an honour that Ozzy and his team chose to partner with us – especially as an independently run brand from his home city," says company CEO Jolie Cashmore. "This collaboration is a testament to Ozzy's impact on the gothic and alternative communities, and a celebration of his legendary influence on music, fashion, and creativity."
"The bat is finally out the bag," adds Cashmore, in a video posted to TikTok. "I hardly believe it either, guys, and I've had a lot of time to process this. Tears have been shed when I got this news.
"I cried because this is an absolute honour for me. I am a lifelong Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne fan, and of course he's from Birmingham. To be given this opportunity by the Osbourne team is just a dream come true. It's so amazing that they've chosen an independent, small Birmingham brand for this."
Details of the collection will be posted on Jolie Beauty's website on July 9.
Meanwhile, the West Midlands Growth Company, an organisation that advocates for sustainable, inclusive growth in the region, has announced that this weekend's activities will generate an estimated £20 million for the local economy.
300,000 people are expected to visit Birmingham for events including Sabbath's homecoming, two nights of Jeff Lynne's ELO at the Utilita Arena, and the cricket test between England and India.

Lana Del Rey's Fan-Loved Album Mounts A Multi-Chart Comeback

Lana Del Rey's Ultraviolence returns to three U.K. charts, while Born to Die remains a mainstay ... More across five, climbing as high as No. 19 on vinyl. BARCELONA, SPAIN - MAY 31: (EDITORIAL USE ONLY) Lana Del Rey performs in concert during Primavera Sound Festival on May 31, 2024 in Barcelona, Spain. (Photo by Xavi Torrent/Redferns) Born to Die is the album that keeps Lana Del Rey on charts all around the world consistently. Her debut project seems to never completely disappear from rankings in places like the United States and the United Kingdom, where it not only continues to rack up enough streams to appear on a tally or two, but also sells consistently. This week in the U.K., Del Rey claims a pair of successful albums, as Ultraviolence joins Born to Die on multiple tallies, mounting a surprise comeback. Ultraviolence Returns to Multiple Charts Del Rey pushes Ultraviolence onto three charts in the U.K. this frame, and the full-length didn't appear on any of them last week. At the moment, Ultraviolence shows up highest on the Official Physical Albums chart, where it lands at No. 88. The same project returns to the Official Albums Sales tally at No. 97 and barely makes it onto the main ranking of the most popular albums and EPs in the country, coming in at No. 99, in second-to-last place. No. 1 and Hundreds of Weeks on the Charts Ultraviolence has already ruled both the Official Albums chart and the Official Physical Albums ranking in the past, and it peaked at No. 5 on the list of the bestselling collections of any kind throughout the U.K. Del Rey has kept Ultraviolence on the Official Albums Sales tally for 91 weeks, while it has ranked as one of the bestselling physical projects for 121 frames. It's only managed 29 stays on the main albums list so far, but it adds to that sum every once in a while, and it was last seen on the Official Albums chart in January of this year. Born to Die Still Dominates Born to Die is still the big winner when it comes to Del Rey's catalog in the U.K. Even as Ultraviolence returns, its predecessor appears on five rankings, and it lives inside the top 40 on all of them. Born to Die improves its standing on all but the Official Albums Streaming chart, where it drops three spots to No. 34. That breakout set, which dropped in 2012 and turned Del Rey into a household name all around the world, currently sits highest on the Official Vinyl Albums tally, where it jumps from No. 33 to No. 19, as sales of the classic on wax have apparently grown considerably from one week to the next.

LG Launches Wide-Ranging TV Promotion—Including Thousands Off Its Unique Transparent OLED

LG has announced that it's launching a new Summer of Women's Sport promotional campaign where buyers of any of a wide range of qualifying premium LG TVs can claim back as much as £2,000 in cash against the value of their purchase. The range of TVs included in the promotion includes everything from LG's wildly popular G5 and C5 OLED TV series through to its latest QNED LCD TVs and even its esoteric 77-inch T4 transparent OLED model. LG's remarkable transparent Signature OLED T TV (which can be made opaque at the touch of a button ... More for serious movie viewing) is now available to buy with a £2,000 cash back offer until July 22. In fact, it's this Signature OLED77T transparent OLED, which can switch from transparency to a normal black-backed screen at the press of a button, that's available with £2,000 cash back to anyone who buys one from a participating U.K. retailer before the promotion ends on July 22. The OLED77T does cost £44,999 up front, it has to be said, so it's perhaps not surprising that the cashback deal on it is comfortably the biggest in LG's new promotion. But £2,000 still adds up to a lot of 4K Blu-rays. Other more 'mainstream' highlights of LG's new Summer of Women's Sport promotion (which has been timed to coincide with the current UEFA Women's Euro 2025 football tournament) include £500 cashback on LG's 77-inch OLED77M59, £400 cashback on the 65-inch OLED65G5s, and £250 cashback on the 65-inch 65QNED93. The M5s, if you're not aware, combine the latest Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel technology with a true 'wireless' design featuring an external, low-latency cable-free connections box. The G5s again use the latest brightness- and color-enhancing Primary RGB Tandem technology on most screen sizes, but sport a different design and don't feature the wireless connectivity system the M5s get. The 65-inch QNED93, meanwhile, takes LG's LCD picture quality to the next level by, unusually for LG's LCD range, using a contrast-rich VA type of panel rather than an IPS one, and combining this with a new Dynamic Colour system and LG's most advanced picture processing yet for an LCD TV. Note that other screen sizes in the QNED93 range revert to IPS panels, which trade contrast for slightly wider viewing angles. The full range of LG TV deals available through this time-limited U.K. promotion is as follows: OLED 97-inch LG OLED97M59, RRP £27,999, Cashback available: £1,000 LG OLED97G54, RRP £24,999, Cashback available: £1,000 LG's G5 OLED TVs are available with hundreds of pounds of cash back until July 22. 83-inch LG OLED83M59, RRP £7,499, Cashback available: £500 LG OLED83G54, RRP £6,499, Cashback available: £500 LG OLED83C5ELA, RRP £5,499.98, Cashback available: £500 LG OLED83C54LA, RRP £5,499, Cashback available: £500 LG OLED83B56LA, RRP £4,099, Cashback available: £500 77-inch LG OLED77T4, RRP £44,999, Cashback available: £2,000 LG OLED77M59LA, RRP £4,999, Cashback available: £500 LG OLED77G54LW, RRP £4,299, Cashback available: £500 LG OLED77C56LB, RRP £3,499, Cashback available: £500 LG OLED77C55LA, RRP £3,499.98, Cashback available: £500 LG OLED77C5ELB, RRP £3,499.99, Cashback available: £500 LG OLED77C54LA, RRP £3,499, Cashback available: £500 LG OLED77B56LA, RRP £3,299, Cashback available: £500 65-inch LG OLED65M59LA, RRP £3,799, Cashback available: £500 LG OLED65G56LS, RRP £3,099, Cashback available: £400 LG OLED65G54LW, RRP £3,099, Cashback available: £400 LG OLED65C56LB, RRP £2,499, Cashback available: £400 LG OLED65C5ELB, RRP £2,500, Cashback available: £400 LG OLED65C54LA, RRP £2,499, Cashback available: £400 LG OLED65B56LA, RRP £1,699, Cashback available: £250 The LG OLED C5 series is available in the U.K. with hundreds of pounds of cash back available on it ... Nick Frost Becomes Hagrid in First Look at HBO's HARRY POTTER Series — GeekTyrant

HBO's Harry Potter series adaptation is officially underway, and fans just got their first look at Nick Frost as Rubeus Hagrid. The beloved half-giant gamekeeper, originally portrayed by Robbie Coltrane in the films, now gets a fresh take from the Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz star. The reveal comes on the heels of HBO announcing that production has officially started on the highly anticipated series, which began filming Monday at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden in the U.K. The shoot is expected to run through spring 2026, setting the stage for a 2027 debut on HBO and Max. Alongside Frost, the new generation of Hogwarts students is led by Dominic McLaughlin as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. These three were selected from over 30,000 hopefuls who auditioned last fall. The ensemble cast is packed with familiar names, including John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore, Janet McTeer as Minerva McGonagall, Paapa Essiedu as Severus Snape, Katherine Parkinson as Molly Weasley, Lox Pratt as Draco Malfoy, and Johnny Flynn as Lucius Malfoy. Additional roles include Leo Earley as Seamus Finnigan, Alessia Leoni as Parvati Patil, Sienna Moosah as Lavender Brown, Bertie Carvel as Cornelius Fudge, Bel Powley as Petunia Dursley, and Daniel Rigby as Vernon Dursley. Rounding out the cast is Rory Wilmot as Neville Longbottom, Amos Kitson as Dudley Dursley, Louise Brealey as Madam Hooch, and Anton Lesser as Garrick Ollivander. The series is helmed by showrunner and writer Francesca Gardiner ( His Dark Materials, Killing Eve ), with Mark Mylod ( Succession ) directing. Gardiner and Mylod serve as executive producers alongside J.K. Rowling, Neil Blair, Ruth Kenley-Letts of Brontë Film and TV, and David Heyman of Heyday Films. With filming underway and a powerhouse creative team in place, HBO's Harry Potter series promises a faithful yet reimagined take on the wizarding world, and Nick Frost's Hagrid already looks like the perfect mix of warmth and wildness fans have been hoping for.
