And Paul has boasted how victory could land him a ranking - teeing him up for a controversial world title challenge.
But he is always one defeat away from his boxing empire coming crashing down - and he bears that in mind constantly.
Paul, 28, told SunSport: "I think definitely I use a bit of like fear and what people say as motivation, inspiration.
"But mostly I try to focus on the love and proving myself right and challenging myself at this point.

"Because I've already exceeded my expectations of what I was going to do in this sport and so everything else here is is a win, right?
"Like, I've built my whole entire dream life, businesses, companies, so really I'm just playing with house money now."
Paul admits he plays the role of boxing bad guy - a villain act that has helped earn him over $100MILLION (£73m) in the ring.
He said: "To conduct the orchestra, you must turn your back on the audience. So, I know what I'm doing, I'm just playing a game.

"People want to tune in to see me lose or the doubters, all of this stuff.
"But, at the end of the day, there's just as much love that, and that's what I focus on."

Paul returns for the first time since November when he beat Mike Tyson - who controversially returned aged 58 in front of 100m Netflix viewers.
And he dropped TWO STONE to scale back down to the 14st 4lb cruiserweight limit of 200lb to face 39-year-old Chavez Jr.
Paul has claimed the WBC and WBA plan to rank him in victory - putting him in line for what would be the most unlikely of title shots.
He said: "I think it's back to the drawing board after this, especially depending on what the WBC and WBA rank me after I win.
"If they rank me in the position where I can go for a world championship, then we're gonna try and get that done."
Paul - who has called out Anthony Joshua to fight in a British stadium - knows his brags of fighting for a world title will rile up boxing fans.
He knows it is also why plenty will pay the pay-per-view fee in the hope he gets silenced in the the ring once and for all.
But the prankster-gone-prizefighter said with a grin: "Thank you for the attention and your opinions, and that's what I'm drawing out of you.
"You're my puppet and I'm the puppeteer."

Paul next? The big world title fight between Zurdo Ramirez Yuniel Dorticos will not only hold interest for boxing fans, but for fans of Jake Paul. Should the Problem Child win, tboth the WBA and WBC will rank him in the top 15 - making him a potential future opponent for Ramirez. "If I'm open, after this fight,' Ramirez said when asked about a fight with Paul. "I need to win. He needs to win. That's fine for me." Should he win, though, Ramirez could also turn his attention to unifying the division, where other belts are currently held by 41-year-old WBC champion Badou Jack and the imposing and undefeated IBF champ Jai Opetaia. Ramirez said: "This fight first, then anyone. If I can get all the belts, let's do it.' He also added he doesn't foresee any problems dealing with Dorticos' power. The Cuban is nicknamed Dr KO after reeling off 25 knockouts in 27 wins. 'I think I can take punches," Ramirez added, "I have the skill to beat this guy. "I'm going to prove I'm the best in this division. That's why I'm putting my belts on the line – to prove I'm the best cruiserweight. "I expect a war. I expect he's really prepared. Everyone will see why 'Zurdo' Ramirez is the champion. I'll be prepared for Dr. KO."

Glastonbury fans fume at 'atrocious' decision in Charli XCX's headliner

Charli XCX took to the stage to headline the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury Festival, but fans were left fuming that Lorde didn't make an appearance for their collab Charli XCX delivered a blazing performance for her debut Glastonbury Festival headline slot, prompting many fans to echo a similar sentiment. The 32 year old British pop sensation began sharing music on Myspace in 2008 and swiftly became a staple of the London rave culture. With a succession of early 2010s singles and mixtapes under her belt, Charli XCX hit number one in the UK charts in 2012 with Icona Pop collaboration 'I Love It'. Her success soared following the global smash hit 'Fancy' with Iggy Azalea in 2014. ‌ Charli XCX reached new heights in the music industry last year after releasing hit album Brat. The album topped the charts in the UK, Ireland, and Australia. And it also made an impressive debut at number three on the Billboard 200. ‌ Her 2024 album, 'Brat', also garnered her eight Grammy nominations at the 67th annual awards including Album of the Year, as well as bagging three wins - Best Dance Pop Recording for "Von Dutch", Best Dance/Electronic Album, and Best Recording Package. Charli's fiancé, George Daniel of The 1975 fame, who also topped the bill at Glasto on Friday, was amongst the excited festival-goers. The excitement buzzed amid speculation that Lorde would grace the stage with Charli to perform their collaboration 'Girl, So Confusing' , reports the Manchester Evening News. However, Lorde's surprise gig at Woodies Stage at 11.30am meant she didn't join Charli XCX, leading to some disappointed fans voicing their feelings online. On X (the social network formerly known as Twitter), @ctphonehomee expressed dismay: "So lorde not being here is atrocious??" and @V4MPIRESHAWTY queried: "WHERE IS LORDE". ‌ One fan, @begforloves, expressed their surprise: "Now why would Lorde not be there", while @mattyscruff chimed in with: "not the crowd screaming bc they assumed lorde was coming out". @allyallonsy01 echoed the sentiment, stating: "I was hoping lorde was gonna come out". Taking to the stage in a black crop top and skimpy paints, she seductively teased the crowd and cameras. However, with those in attendance lapping up the display, it appears viewers at home weren't as impressed. Taking to Twitter /X, some fans blasted the singer for seemingly miming. One user fumed: "Oh ffs can't watch Scissor Sisters and Charli XCX is bloody dreadful. Could literally be any random person miming. WTF for a Glastonbury Saturday night, disappointing." Another added: "Predictable but shame nonetheless that charli xcx can't sing live #Glastonbury2025 #charlixcx FAKE." And a third said: "Charli xcx Embarressing [sic]that, turning up to walk around stage pretending to sing…"
