Pilot Error Caused Ka-1 To Drop Pods, Tanks - S Korea's Air Force
SEOUL, April 21 (Bernama-Yonhap) -- Pilot negligence led to the accidental release of gun pods and empty fuel tanks from a South Korean KA-1 light attack aircraft last week, Yonhap news agency quoted the Air Force on Monday.
The incident occurred on Friday during a nighttime drill over Pyeongchang, about 125 kilometres east of Seoul. The dropped parts landed in a mountainous area.
No casualties or property damage were reported.

In the incident at about 5pm, three individuals including a child died, one survived (Alvin Chang Yan Qin, 17), while a married couple remains missing. The deceased victims were Darren Gan, 3; Cheu Son Hin, 50; and Fong Yong Sen, 29, while those still missing have been identified as Gan Hon Tat, 32, and his wife Careen Man, 29, both from Klang Utama. - Bernama

Ukraine says it shot down Russian Su-35 fighter jet
KYIV: Ukraine's air forces shot down a Russian Su-35 fighter jet on Saturday morning, the Ukrainian military said. 'This morning, on June 7, 2025, as a result of a successful Air Force operation in the Kursk direction, a Russian Su-35 fighter jet was shot down,' the military said on the Telegram messenger. It gave no more details. Russian forces have not yet commented on the matter while Reuters could not independently verify the report.
