Seal is a Literal Seal in Taika Waititi's Mountain Dew Super Bowl Commercial
Seal takes his namesake to new surreal heights in Mountain Dew's 2025 Super Bowl commercial. The 30-second spot features the 15-time Grammy nominee transformed into a literal seal (with a realistic face) who washes up on Baja Beach to serenade Becky G with 'Kiss from a Lime,' a Baja Blast-inspired rendition of his Grammy-winning hit 'Kiss from a Rose.'
'I had a blast coming up with new lyrics and loved collaborating with their team to bring this campaign to life in such a fun and unexpected way,' Seal said in a statement to Adweek. The 'Kiss from a Lime' spot, which will air in the second quarter of the game, was created by creative agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners and directed by Taika Waititi.

Seal and Becky G star alongside Mountain Dew's newly minted spokesperson the Mountain Dude, who was introduced last year. Mountain Dude and Becky G are transported to Baja Beach after opening a Baja Blast — marking the second time Mountain Dew has focused its Super Bowl advertising on the flavor.
'The cultural impact of the Super Bowl is undeniable and having Mountain Dew Baja Blast be a part of it for the second year in a row is incredibly exciting for us as a brand,' said Pepsi and Sparking Brands SVP of marketing Mark Kirkham.
Mountain Dew is also hosting two activations in New Orleans this year: Spot the Baja Blast Campervan and Escape to Baja Beach. At the Baja Blast Campervan, fans can try samples of Baja Blast, sing karaoke and receive t-shirts and beads. Escape to Baja Beach takes place at New Orleans' bar The Frat House and gives visitors the chance to meet the Mountain Dude.

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott could be making a rare tweak to his accessories this season.
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott could be making a rare tweak to his accessories this season. originally appeared on Athlon Sports. In this age of on-demand viewership - with social media highlights, constant studio analysis shows, behind-the-scenes footage transcending just the game broadcast - football is as accessible as ever. Advertisement And naturally, most people's eyes are drawn to the quarterback when they watch. So his on-field "look" is as dissected as any player out there. Some players take pride in their assortment of accessories, as if they are playing a real-life version of the Madden video game where each arm sleeve and wristband equips a new attribute to their customizable player performance. Players don't always carefully craft their aesthetic, but die-hard fans tend to notice and care. Especially if the look becomes a signature style for the player after many years. That is the case for Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott, who has worn the double long sleeve look under his pads for a while now. Advertisement Cowboys Nation has grown accustomed to their QB1's appearance, but nostalgic highlights of Dak's breakout rookie season in 2016 offer a different flavor from when he used to rock a default sleeveless look. For some time, fans have called for Prescott to update his on-field accessories with something new. Maybe this desire is fans' latest delusion that a new look will get the Cowboys closer to a Super Bowl. Well, Dak may be taking them up on the idea. At OTAs this offseason, Prescott has been seen wearing one arm sleeve rather than his usual two. His practice attire has cycled through different looks in other summers, but has still led to his traditional game-day fit in the fall, so this shouldn't be looked too much into. Advertisement But in a behind-the-scenes video of the Cowboys taking part in "picture day", a subtle tweak to Prescott's look has sent fans into a frenzy, thinking he could actually be making a change for the 2025 season. These pictures and videos are used for various marketing efforts throughout the season, like posters and hype videos shown on the AT&T Stadium jumbotron during games. The idea is for players to wear their full uniform as it will look on the field, accessories and all - Overshown is wearing eight arm bands for those counting at home. However subtle a change, Dak has tweaked his arm sleeve lengths. Advertisement Stop the press! His right arm now features a short-sleeve cut with his left sleeve still at full length. The two sweatbands on his wrist complete the look, but those are pretty standard. At practice, Prescott has been more experimental with his right sleeve length, being seen letting his arm breathe completely at times. Maybe having less constriction on his throwing arm will help mobility? Or maybe his accessories have no bearing on his physical performance and it's simply time for a fresh up. Either way, Cowboys fans are excited about the prospect of a "new-look" Dak. "One sleeve Dak official 🔥" one fan wrote. Advertisement "DAKS AURA OMGGG" another added in appreciation of Prescott's eye-catching change. "Single sleeve in promotional material???" said another hopeful. Dak's aesthetic on the field doesn't dictate his performance in anyway, but it could still draw as much attention from crazed fans (and haters) as much as his touchdown total. Regardless of the level of intrigue, these are the types of things that fill the minds of football fanatics during this offseason lull. What Cowboys fans should really care about is how much the team increases their win total - not Dak's arm-sleeve total - at the end of the season. Miley Cyrus Makes A Shocking Confession About Past Drug Use
is opening up about one of the wildest chapters in her life, and the creative ways she kept her drug use under wraps. The Grammy-winning singer revealed during her candid appearance on the "Every Single Album" podcast Friday that she used to lie to her accountant about where her money was going while working on her 2015 psychedelic album, "Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz." Cyrus confessed that her 'biggest cost' at the time wasn't production, promotion, or wardrobe. It was drugs. 'We called them vintage clothes,' she admitted with a laugh. 'And every time [my accountant] saw me, she'd be like, 'Where's that, like, $15,000 original John Lennon T-shirt that you bought?' It's like, 'Oh, it's upstairs.'' To keep suspicions at bay, the "Flowers" singer said she'd claim the expensive items were being stored away for preservation. 'They're really delicate,' she'd explain. 'I want to protect them.' 'So I bought a lot of vintage clothes that year,' Cyrus added playfully. But behind the jokes lies a hard truth. Reflecting on her past substance use, the "We Can't Stop" star admitted, 'I'm so glad I survived that time in my life.' While she doesn't glamorize the behavior, she acknowledged her own journey with gratitude. 'I would definitely not encourage anyone else to go this hard," she said. "But the fact that I got through it. I'm very glad I got to do it.' Cyrus has long been open about her experimentation with substances. But, after years of partying, Cyrus got sober in 2017 following her reunion with then-boyfriend . She did, however, briefly relapse during the COVID-19 pandemic, but said in 2020 that she got herself back on track within two weeks. In addition to opening up about her past drug use, Cyrus also made a surprising confession about her days as Hannah Montana. For years after leaving Disney Channel, she says she wasn't allowed to perform any songs from the hit series that launched her career. 'After I left Disney, I wasn't allowed to perform any of the 'Hannah Montana' music,' she revealed. 'It's not like I wanted to. I mean, performing 'The Best of Both Worlds' between 'We Can't Stop' and 'Wrecking Ball' wouldn't have really made sense,' she said. 'But it was still sad knowing those songs have my voice, my face, and I wasn't allowed to sing them.' That restriction has since been lifted. After being honored as a Disney Legend last year, Cyrus said she now has the green light to revisit her "Hannah Montana" catalog whenever she chooses. 'It's pretty cool,' she added. After rising to fame on Disney Channel, Miley Cyrus made headlines for shedding her squeaky-clean image. Her transformation sparked widespread controversy, particularly following her provocative 2013 MTV Video Music Awards performance, where she infamously twerked on during "Blurred Lines." She also faced criticism for appropriating Black culture during her "Bangerz" era, especially for using Black dancers as props in performances and music videos. She later distanced herself from hip-hop culture, which led to further backlash when she criticized its lyrical content in a 2017 interview, only to later walk back those comments. While accepting her Disney Legend honor, she jokingly apologized to Mickey Mouse for her 'malfunction' phase, saying, 'I definitely wasn't created in a lab and if I was there must've been a bug in the system which caused me to malfunction somewhere between the years of 2013 and '16. Sorry, Mickey.' Cyrus starred in "Hannah Montana" from 2006 to 2011, playing a teenager living a double life as a regular girl by day and a global pop star by night. The series, which also starred her real-life dad, , became a cultural phenomenon and helped catapult her to global fame. In a 2020 appearance on "Carolina with Greg T" in the Morning, Cyrus expressed that she was open to returning to her role as Hannah Montana. "You know what honestly, I try to put that wig on all the time. She's just in storage collecting dust, and I'm ready to whip her out ... The opportunity will present itself," the singer said at the time. "I definitely would like to resurrect her at some point. She needs a big makeover because she's kinda stuck in 2008, so we'll need to go shopping with Miss Montana." Now, with hard-earned wisdom and a clearer outlook, Miley is looking back on her past with honesty, humor, and a sense of peace.
