Athar Aamir Khan did not have any children during his marriage to his former wife, Tina Dabi. However, in 2024, he and his current wife, Dr. Mehreen Qazi, welcomed their first child, a baby boy named Ehaan. Following Tina Dabi's marriage to IAS officer Dr. Pradeep Gawande in April 2022, Athar announced his engagement to Mehreen just two months later.

IAS Ria Dabi Breaks Sister Tina Dabi's Record, Gets Promotion In Just 4 Years

While Tina Dabi waited nearly 9–10 years for a promotion, Ria Dabi, who joined the IAS in 2021, was promoted in 2024, moving from the junior to senior administrative scale. Tina Dabi is a renowned IAS officer who gained fame after securing the All India Rank (AIR) 1 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2015. Her sister, Ria Dabi, has also established herself in India's civil services, creating her own distinct identity. Both Tina and her sister Ria Dabi are accomplished UPSC officers. Ria, from the 2020 batch, achieved an impressive All India Rank (AIR) of 16. Her husband, Manish Kumar, is also in the Civil Services and was recently promoted to Superintendent of Police (SP) of Dungarpur district. Ria Dabi was reportedly born in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. She completed her schooling at the Convent of Jesus and Mary in New Delhi and graduated from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi, with a degree in Political Science. At the age of 23, Ria Dabi cleared the UPSC on her first attempt, securing an All India Rank of 15. Ria Dabi's rank of 15 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2020 is noteworthy, as her elder sister Tina Dabi was the top ranker in the 2015 UPSC exam. Inspired by her sister's success, Ria performed exceptionally well in the challenging examination, fulfilling her dream of becoming an IAS officer. In 2023, Ria Dabi married IPS officer Manish Kumar. Both were part of the 2021 batch and met during their training at LBSNAA, Mussoorie, where their friendship blossomed into love. Their wedding was a private affair, attended by family and close friends, with Ria sharing glimpses of the ceremony on social media. In a major bureaucratic reshuffle in September 2024, the Bhajanlal Government transferred 108 IAS officers. Of these, 98 were transferred, and 10 who were on awaited posting orders received assignments in the Industries Department. According to an IANS report, Tina Dabi has been posted as the Barmer District Collector, while her husband, IAS officer Pradeep Gawande, has been posted as the Jalore Collector. A report in the Navbharat Times–Indiatimes highlighted that Ria Dabi's promotion has been significantly faster than her sister Tina's. While Tina waited nearly 9–10 years for a promotion, Ria, who joined the IAS in 2021, was promoted in 2024, moving from the junior administrative scale to the senior administrative scale. view comments First Published: August 14, 2025, 12:00 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
