Buzz Feed25-05-2025

A three-pack of vintage-inspired polarized sunglasses for anyone who needs a few "these look like Ray-Bans, but I won't weep if I leave them on a sand dune" pairs this year. These are especially handy because you can match the subtle prints to whatever 'fit you're wearing!
A delightfully affordable instant foot peeling spray so you can go full YEEHAW!! on an at-home pedicure without the big salon price tag. This not only helps gently remove dead skin, but moisturizes dry and cracked heels, so you'll really get some refreshing bang for your buck.
A set of DEET-free handy mosquito-repelling bracelets for the ultimate in genius summer investments — these use essential oils, including citronella, to help stop those teensy vampires in their tracks.
And if it's entirely too late for that, a delightful little tool called the "Bug Bite Thing" — it suctions on all kinds of bug bites to reduce swelling, itchiness, and redness, so you don't spend half your trip itching your appendages.
A set of limited edition Band-Aids with retro flower patterns so the next time you get a little ouch, you can be like, "wound care, but make it summer-y."
A travel-friendly SPF 50 Airy Sunstick Smoothing Bar, a K-beauty staple with a curved balm stick style that makes it super easy to apply, and a nonsticky, white cast–free formula that plays ABSURDLY well with makeup. If you're looking for a lightweight "soft matte" sunscreen to protect your skin, this is your new BFF.
And a set of sunscreen reminder stickers — these UV stickers have SPF recognition and will change colors to let you know both when your SPF is working, and then again when it's time to slather more sunscreen on. Each sticker is water-resistant and works for up to twelve hours. NOT TODAY, SUN!!!
E.l.f.'s Squeeze Me More Lip Balm Duo with some real "Laneige, but make it cheap" energy. This mango and watermelon duo is actually the oh-so-tropical remix of the brand's wildly beloved Squeeze Me More Lip Balm that came out last year, so reviewers are already obsessed with how lightweight, hydrating, and deeelicious these go-to balms are.
Kitsch's new "Ultra Petite" Satin Scrunchies for anyone who loves the hair-protective style of satin, but wants a lower profile than the big billowing versions. These are super gentle and prevent creasing, but still have an all-day firm hold.
A refillable sunscreen sponge applicator with a rollerball inside to make sunscreen application as quick, effective, and fun (?????) as possible. This unconventional gizmo has helped a lot of parents win the "PLEASE hop out of the water and let me sunscreen you" game once and for all.
A cute lil' insect catcher you can set in a plant or near your fruit bowl or compost to deal with any unwanted fluttering guests. These odorless sticky traps are designed to work indoors and outdoors and will stop fruit flies, gnats, mosquitoes, and more — without the high price tag of the electronic or liquid versions.
A four-pack of silicone straw soda can lids that are like, "Oh, you're obsessed with Diet Coke? Let me find you a reason to be even MORE obsessed." Reviewers love these not just for the ~thrill~ of a straw, but because the covers make the cans a whole lot more spill-proof, prevent your drink from going flat, and protect your can from bugs and debris during outdoor hangs.
Eos' Cashmere Skin Collection Shave Oil — yes, that's right, the astronomically TikTok-famous Eos "cashmere" body lotion now comes in shave oil form, just in time for potential spring shaving shenanigans. Reviewers are notably impressed by how close of a shave they can get with this, particularly in sensitive areas, helping spare you from razor burn and ingrown hairs.
A set of waterproof "wet bags" you will curse yourself for not buying YEARS AGO, because they are tiny little lifesavers when you're on the move. Reviewers use these to cart wet suits and towels from the beach and pool, sweaty clothes from the gym, and soiled clothes and burp cloths in diaper bags. It even has a little snap closure if you want to hook it to a stroller or bag (and the color combos are TOO CUTE).
And an adorable clear waterproof sunscreen bag to keep your various SPFs for easy access when you need to protect yourself from the sun's shenanigans, and to keep the rest of your stuff safe if one of your sunscreens bottles decides to go ~kaboom~.
Garnier Fructis Sleek & Shine Anti-Frizz Serum, aka humidity's WORST ENEMY. 😈 This super lightweight argan oil solution is designed for all hair types to help manage frizz and define waves and curls without weighing them down, and will be the MVP in your hair arsenal in the warmer temps — especially considering how costly competitive serums are!
A handy as heck Burt's Bees sunburn soother you'll want to stock up on if you're a "just in case" kinda human — it's made with aloe and coconut oil to hydrate skin and gently relieve pain from the sun's unforgiving rays within just a few hours.
A reusable, family-friendly sand eraser to *instantly* remove sand from your skin with a quick swipe so you don't accidentally turn your unsuspecting car interiors into "Beach, Part Two."
A delightfully affordable battery-operated patio umbrella light you can easily install without any tools, so you don't have to do wine and cheese in the darkness if the sun sets before your appetite does.
A bag of FIRECRACKER! POPSICLE! FLAVORED!!! Liquid I.V. electrolyte drink mix, so you have extra incentive to hit your hydration goals on blazing hot trips *and* you can relive the glory of chasing down the ice cream truck as a kid. Reviewers are genuinely stunned by how much this tastes like the ~real thing~.
A pair of reusable silicone Nippies, a cult-fave ~invisible~ nipple cover that reviewers love for its seamless fit and the way it stays put even on the sweatiest of human days without budging. Fun tops and dresses with funky straps have officially entered the group chat!!
A set of handy fly-repellant table fans that are not only adorable, but will let you enjoy your outdoor picnics, barbecues, and patio meals without ever *once* having to bat a pesky fly away. This fancy Trader Joe's aged gruyere is NOT for you, my noisy little friend!!
A Lululemon-esque adjustable mini belted pack (aka ~fanny pack~) you can wear around your waist or shoulder for a lightweight bag alternative that you won't lose, since it is literally attached to you. A lot of reviewers mention how genuinely *stunned* they are by how much this little bag can secretly carry.
And a Lululemon-inspired mini wristlet wallet set that looks just like their $50 version, and also easily holds cash, cards, and lip balms, so you don't have to deal with the whole muss and fuss of a purse if you're going on a walk around the neighborhood. Plus, you know what they say — keep your friends close and your beloved lippies closer.
A truly multi-talented set of colorful cooling towels you can use to prevent yourself from overheating — all you have to do is wet these, and they get chilly to drape on your head or neck. Once the chill runs out, you can wet them again to get it back!
And a 360-degree portable neck fan that puts all the other versions of it to shame — this one is designed with a comfier non-slip silicone neck grip and bladeless fans, so you don't have to worry about your hair getting caught in them.
A beach towel clip you can attach to a beach chair to stop it from blowing away while you're off gallivanting in the ocean trying to make friends with a mermaid. Reviewers also love this for building blanket forts, holding down tablecloths, and hanging wet items like suits and towels at the end of a long beach day.
A set of washable Flat Socks, aka the ultimate no-show socks hack — you can install these soft, odor-preventing liners into the bottom of your shoe, and the moisture-wicking material will keep your feet from rivaling the swamp Shrek lives in.
A mini colander with folding handles that is basically a mandatory purchase for fruit and veggie lovers — reviewers love how easy it is to plop produce into this lil' guy and rinse it off in the sink with no muss, no fuss of drying everything out after!
A roll-up wide brim UPF 50 sun hat to protect your cheeks from the sun's rays *and* keep you looking effortlessly chic no matter how many days it's been since your last hair wash. This one is a real winner because of how absurdly packable it is, making it perfect for shoving into a tote bag on long days and a suitcase on vacation — and how affordable it is compared to $87+ versions from brands like Bloomingdale's, Wallaroo, and Cuyana.
A 360-degree rotatable electric car fan for the backseat that's handy whether or not your car has a functional AC — if you live in an area where your car scorches in the summer, you know full well that you'll take ANY KIND OF AIR YOU CAN GET. Parents especially swear by this to keep kiddos in rear-facing car seats cool!
A waterproof, sandproof, super lightweight JBL Flip 6 speaker so you can impress your friends not just with your excellent playlist curation skills, but the ridiculous sound quality that comes out of this tiny gizmo. It's so portable that you can easily tuck it into a tote bag on your way to a beach or pool hang, and waterproof that reviewers even keep it in the shower!
A portable Chill-O-Matic Instant Beverage Cooler, aka every finicky cold bevvy drinker's DREAM. This gadget can take a 12-ounce can of seltzer, soda, or beer at room temperature and make it ice cold in just one minute. A lot of people who complain that their fridge doesn't make drinks "cold enough" also swear by this for an extra icy kick.
A set of Tide Sink Packs you can use to do laundry right in the sink when the heat has you sweating through all your clothes on your trip like a human geyser. Now the WHOLE WORLD is your laundry machine!!
A rechargeable heated ice cream scoop to give your poor spoons and your biceps a BREAK!! You deserve the sweet bliss of ice cream without feeling like you just did a whole CrossFit workout to get it.
Physicians Formula Butter Glow & Go Stick with similar energy as the $46 Charlotte Tilbury Beach Stick for a smooth, rich, and ridiculously easy-to-apply contour to give your skin that ~sunkissed~ glow with as little effort as possible. This dual-ended stick is the definition of no muss, no fuss, and so versatile that when you're not using them on the go, you'll love experimenting with all the different ways you can make a subtle colorful *pop*.
A blister-preventing foot balm that basically magics an extra layer between your skin and your shoe, so you can break in and wear your favorite summer flats, heels, and sandals without worrying about getting big ole blisters on your feet.
A leakproof collapsible water bottle to make you feel a little bit like a witch when you roll it back up and it just ~disappears~ conveniently in your carry-on.
A pack of unscented SweatBlock wipes that work for up to *seven days* after application — perfect for those of us whose underarms are a little, uh, enthusiastic, to say the least. Reviewers especially swear by this for events that might bring on nervous sweating!
And a set of seamless, delightfully absorbent cotton and bamboo liners, because even when you can take the heat, sometimes your boobs simply CANNOT. Now they can sweat in peace without you worrying about sweat stains on your favorite blouse.
A super affordable retro-style portable mini fridge you can use for a whole menagerie of purposes, whether you're keeping food cold on a road trip, or want a little bevvy fridge in your room, or want to keep your beauty products or medications chilled. Also, bonus points for being absolutely adorable.
A set of spicy margarita instant cocktail tea bags — all the sophistication of tea and the 😜 of a cheeky cocktail, without the exorbitant bar price tags or the sugar crash. All you have to do is add three ounces of cold water, 1.5 ounces of hard liquor, and the tea sachet into a glass, and you'll have a delicious cocktail in one minute.
Sol de Janeiro's Jet Set for anyone who wants to try all the most iconic products that come in the brand's cult-favorite "sunshine" scents without paying a pretty penny for all three — now you can snag a Bum Bum Cream, body and hair mist, *and* body wash in one convenient set, and even take them traveling with you.
A Meridian "Manscape" trimmer that a lot of people don't know is an excellent razor for *anyone* shaving in sensitive areas, since it's mainly marketed toward men. If you're worried about nicks, cuts, ingrown hairs, and razor burn, particularly in your pubic area, this waterproof trimmer is about to be your new favorite gizmo.
A waterproof pouch to keep your phone and other "doesn't play well with water"–type gadgets safe. Not only does this keep it safe, but you can still use the touchscreen with it, meaning you can take underwater travel photos galore 🐠🐟🐡.
A two-way "walkie-talkie" radio with a 16-mile radius, making it easy to go on summer hiking and camping trips without losing track of your fellow humans if one of you is like, "Oh, wow! A bird!!" (Guilty as charged.) Parents also swear by them for keeping in touch with kids too young for phones if they're out walking the dog or playing with friends!
A pair of popular quick-dry water shoes to keep your feet from burning or getting beaten up all summer — reviewers love these for everything from walking on rockier beaches to kayaking to washing their cars. They're flexible and comfy like a sock, but protective against nefarious objects like sharp rocks and stray Legos.
And last but certainly not least — a teensy undetectable laptop mouse jiggler you can slide into the USB to keep your computer active on Teams, Slack, and all those other various technological overlords that keep track of you so you can take some moments to yourself in the sunshine when you need it. ☀️😎

The 7 Best At-Home Wax Kits for Smooth, Hair-Free Skin

Waxing can feel like an expensive, painful chore; or it can be quick, efficient, and done from the comfort of your own bathroom with one of the best at-home wax kits. Whether you're using a soft gel wax that requires a wooden spatula and some grit or opting for pre-waxed strips that don't even need to be heated, at-home waxing has come a long way. Many kits are now beginner-friendly, mess-free, and gentle enough for sensitive areas like the face or bikini line, making them a cost-effective alternative to salon visits for small touch-ups. Now, to be clear—these kits still hurt (you're ripping hair from the root, after all). But with the right consistency and formula, the experience can be way less brutal. Below, we tapped two board-certified dermatologists to break down everything you need to know: how to prep your skin, what the 24-hour rule is, what to look for in an at-home wax kit, and how to prevent pesky ingrown hairs. We also rounded up seven of our favorite at-home wax kits for smooth, hair-free skin. Vogue's Favorite At-Home Wax Kits: In This Story: Best Overall: Flamingo Women's Body Wax Kit Flamingo Body Wax Kit $17 AMAZON Why We Love It : If you're new to waxing, pre-waxed strips can be a total lifesaver, as they're much cleaner and easier to use. This kit from Flamingo includes 24 wax strips in both large and small sizes, along with post-wax cloths to help remove sticky residue and calm any irritation. The strips are fragrance-free and dye-free, making them less likely to irritate skin compared to traditional hot waxes. And since there's no heating required, there's no risk of burns—just warm the strips between your hands before applying. The more you use them, the easier it gets, but the process is pretty intuitive. Just be sure to pull in the opposite direction of hair growth. Each strip can typically be used for two pulls. Cosmetic dermatologic surgeon Dr. Howard Sobel approves. 'I like that this kit is dermatologist-tested and formulated without any fragrances,' he says. Sam's Club says it plans to remove synthetic dyes from private brand by end of 2025

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Sam's Club announced on Thursday plans to eliminate more than 40 ingredients from its private label brand, Member's Mark, by the end of the year. The wholesale chain said in a news release that under the initiative, 'Made Without,' it will alter its food and beverage products to offer items without certain ingredients in order to cater to specific dietary preferences. In April, U.S. Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Marty Makary announced plans to phase out several types of artificial, petroleum-based dyes used as food coloring in various snacks, drinks and desserts that line grocery shelves, mainly citing kids' health as the reason for the move. 'We take pride in the high-quality ingredients that go into our products, but what truly differentiates us are the ingredients we consciously leave out,' Julie Barber, chief merchant at Sam's Club, said. 'Our 'Made Without' commitment underscores our aspiration to be members' go-to destination for quality at a disruptive value. For us, it's about listening to our members and providing the items that resonate with their lifestyles.' Here is the list of ingredients Sam's Club plans to eliminate from its 'Made Without' products: Acesulfame-K (Acesulfame Potassium) (Ace-K) Acetylated Ester of Mono & Diglycerides (ACETEM) Artificial Flavors Aspartame Azodicarbonamide (ADA) Benzyl Alcohol Butylated hydroxy anisole (BHA) Butylated Hydroxytoluene (BHT) Butylparaben Certified Synthetic Colors/FD&C Colors Cocamide DEA Cyclamates Cyclopentasiloxane Cyclotetrasiloxane Dioctyl Sodium Sulfosuccinate (DSS) DMDM Hydantoin Ethyl Vanillin Formaldehyde Hexa, Hepta, Octa Esters of Sucrose High Fructose Corn Syrup Lactylated Esters of Mono & Diglycerides (OLEON) Methylparaben Neotame Phthalates Potassium Bisulfate Potassium Bisulfite Potassium Nitrate/Nitrite Propyl Gallate Propylparaben Saccharin (All) Simplesse Sodium Ferrocyanide Sodium Propionate Sucroglycerides Sucrose Polyester Talc Tertiary Butylhydroquinone (Except for our 35-pound food service frying oils) Toluene Sam's Club said it has already released cookies and other snacks without artificial colors. The retailer is also offering fresh sushi as part of its 'Made Without' program. In addition to Sam's Club, Tyson recently announced it planned to eliminate synthetic dyes from its products, according to CEO Donnie King. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
