Zara Phillips cuts a stylish figure at Royal Windsor Cup Final as she takes on new role
One of the biggest dates in the society summer calendar ended yesterday as Royal Ascot drew to a close - but Zara Phillips was back in the equestrian world on Sunday, as she attended the Royal Windsor Cup Final.
The royal, 44, has taken on the role that her late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, had previously held at the event.
This afternoon, she will present a trophy to the winning team in the tournament, as her grandmother did for many years at the oldest tournament to take place at the swish Guard's Polo Club.
Wearing an on-trend belted navy blue striped white dress, the mother-of-three, who's married to former England rugby star Mike Tindall, looked cool in the warm weather.
Weather her blonde bob-cut hair under a summer straw boater, the royal, cut an elegant figure at the event.
She finished the look with a pair of beige heeled sandals, a tan leather clutch bag and some delicate gold drop earrings.
The prestigious polo show, held annually, attracts guests from society's highest echelons.
The event is one of the top five polo tournaments in the world - wooing the biggest names in the game and their impressive pony power, as well as plenty of famous faces.
This year's event marks the 70th anniversary of the Royal Windsor Cup, which was the Club's first tournament.
Zara watched on this afternoon as the 15-goal tournament came to a conclusion. Earlier, there had been a jousting display from the Knights of Middle England alongside a carriage driving display by the British Driving Society.
The event takes place at the historic Guard's Polo Club, with the action unfolding on Smith's Lawn, which is named after a 17th century gamekeeper.
Guards Polo Club was founded in 1955 with the late Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, as the club's first President.
The King took on the role in early 2024, with Zara this year asked to present the cup.
Zara remains a serious international equestrian competitor, having garnered a gold medal at the European Eventing Championships in 2005 in addition to attaining a silver medal at the World Equestrian Games in 2006.
Earlier this week, she joined the King and Queen and other members of the extended royal family at Ascot, stepping out in a stylish blue trouser suit.
The daughter of Princess Anne donned the unique outfit for the fourth day of the Berkshire racing festival on Friday.
She teamed the suit with a matching blouse and a statement hat featuring an eye-catching white bow.
Zara finished off the chic look with a pair of pointed blue heels, sunglasses and a white patterned clutch bag.
Meanwhile her beaming mother looked equally fashionable in a trendy monochrome polka dot frock.
King Charles, 76, appeared in great spirits as he greeted his niece Princess Eugenie, 35, with kisses on her hands.
His Majesty was also joined by another of his nieces, Zara Tindall, the daughter of Princess Anne, who looked delighted to see her royal family members.
Camilla, 77, also oozed glamour in a white chiffon dress with embroidered flowers from Anna Valentine, paired with a feathered Philip Treacy hat.
Meanwhile stylish revellers created a sea of vibrant colours as they prepared for another day of action in the 28C heat.
While some revellers bet on horses hoping to win big, others simply came along to soak up inspiration, as race day style has become just as famous as the race itself.
As ever, lavish millinery turned heads, with many revellers commanding attention in vibrant creations adorned with feathers, flowers and lace.
Stunning floral ballgowns, sizable fascinators and dapper top hats were also all on display as hundreds of well-heeled race enthusiasts made the most of the hot weather which is a rarity in the UK.
Glamorous revellers showed off their fashion prowess by donning one of the trendiest colours of the season - hot pink.
Dressed to the nines, groups of classy racegoers also opted to coordinate their attire for the annual occasion, rather than wearing their ensembles solo.
Princess Diana's twin nieces Lady Eliza Spencer and Lady Amelia Spencer, both 32, also made an appearance in strikingly similar classy monochrome ensembles with matching wide brimmed hats.
The fashion model duo - who were sporting glitzy diamond necklaces and jewelled drop earrings - are no stranger to the camera and posed up a storm at the event.
The sisters were also snapped with Millie Mackintosh, best known for her appearances in Made in Chelsea.
The pair sported matching handbags each in different colours that matched their ensembles, with Millie sporting a lavender frilly, chiffon dress.

India led England by 96 runs on the second innings after three days of an enthralling Test series opener at Headingley on Sunday. India bowled out the hosts for 465 at tea to take a six-run first-innings, and was 90 for two in their second bat when rain stopped play a half-hour early. The opener KL Rahul was 47 not out with the captain, Shubman Gill, beside him on six. The Yashasvi Jaiswal was nipped out by Brydon Carse for four, and Sai Sudharsan fell to Ben Stokes for the second time in the match, on 30. Harry Brook led England's batting effort on the day, riding his luck from no score to 99 when he was out hooking straight to the fielder at deep backward square leg. Brook was in control of partnerships of 51 with Stokes, 73 with Jamie Smith and 49 with Chris Woakes but when he was out at 398 for seven England trailed India by 73. India would have expected to wrap up the tail with the new ball only five overs old. But the fast-bowling all-rounder Woakes and the No 9 batter Carse smashed India for 55 runs off 44 balls and India needed to give their star pacer Jasprit Bumrah a fifth spell to finally end England's innings. England set up neck-and-neck finale to First Test against India as Harry Brook comes agonisingly close to century
HARRY BROOK tumbled just one step from heaven as England set up a nip-and-tuck, neck-and-neck finale to the First Test at Headingley. The prolific Yorkshireman was out hooking for 99 after a thrills-and-spills innings of pure Bazball - missing out by the narrowest of margins on a Test century on his home turf. 2 Brook's knock, on the back of Ollie Pope's century, helped England towards a total of 465 - a first-innings deficit of just six. Yet the toothlessness of England 's attack was apparent again as India reached 90-2 at stumps, giving them a slight upper hand heading into Monday's fourth day. There was plenty of frustration for skipper Ben Stokes - who hurled his bat into the air after his own soft dismissal for a scratchy 20, before Ben Duckett put down a late catch in the gully to reprieve Indian debutant Sai Sudharsan. Despite Brydon Carse ripping out the early wicket of Yashasvi Jaiswal - one of the three Indian first-innings century-makers - England are badly missing express pace and world-class quality in their seam attack. Stokes removed Sudharsan late on but India hold a lead of 96. After a minute's applause to mark the life of former England bowler David 'Syd' Lawrence - who has died from motor neurone disease, aged 61 - Brook was straight into his stride. Having been caught off a no ball on Saturday evening, Brook was off the mark with a square cut for four followed by a maximum over midwicket. Pope was out to a flat-footed waft at Prasidh Krishna, having added just six to his overnight 100 - the first of several England batsmen to chuck away their wickets. The local hero may have been distracted as he appeared to offer catching practice to Jaiswal, in the gully, who dropped an absolute dolly. It was the fifth dropped catch of the innings - and the margarine mitts of the tourists could yet prove decisive. Brook hammered Siraj for six over mid-off, then cut him for four before he was out hooking Krishna to the boundary on that most heart-breaking of numbers, just a run shy of a ninth Test century. England were still 73 runs adrift at that point but Chris Woakes - who appears to be in the team for his batting rather than his bowling - leathered back-to-back sixes during a half-century stand with Carse which ensured virtual parity. Bumrah returned to demolish the stumps of Woakes and Josh Tongue. Woakes appeared to injure his side while batting, yet he took the new ball with no success. Carse claimed the wicket of Jaiswal with an 87mph delivery which nipped back. After Duckett dropped Sudharsan off Tongue, Stokes invited the Indian No 3 to clip to Zak Crawley at midwicket. Rain curtailed play just after 6pm but this is anybody's match heading into day three.
