Alexie Brooks opens up on relationship with girlfriend: ‘I'm grateful everyday na she's there to make me happy'
In an interview with Boy Abunda in "Cayetano in Action with Boy Abunda" on June 1, the Miss Eco International 2025 queen revealed that she's been in a relationship for almost a year now.
Alexie gently corrected Tito Boy when he asked her how important 'this man' was to her concept of happiness.
'I'll change the 'man.' I'll rephrase. The woman,' the beauty queen said.
So Tito Boy asked her again, 'How important is that woman to your concept of happiness?'
'Very important, Tito. I realized it when my grandma passed away and she was there. And that was the first time that I caught myself down on the floor. And she helped me get out of the floor. I didn't eat for a few days, she didn't eat for a few days,' Alexie said.
She added that during that time, her girlfriend made sure that she was OK.
'I think that tells so much about how much she cares for me, how much she loves me. I'm grateful everyday na she's there to make me happy and supporting me in the dreams that I want,' Alexie said.
Alexie had always been vocal about her androgynous identity and how she embraces fluidity in both style and relationships.
'And I feel like it's better if you don't put yourself a limit into what you can, you know, expression mo sa sarili mo. And it's so much better. I'm happier. I'm comfortable and I feel confident and I don't think—there's nothing wrong with that,' she said.
Alexie was crowned Miss Eco International 2025 last April at the Hilton Green Plaza in Alexandria, Egypt.

'Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre': Pirena shields Terra in emotional reunion
After a string of near misses, Pirena (Glaiza de Castro) and Terra (Bianca Umali) finally came face-to-face again, but this time, they are now fully aware of each other's real identities. On Friday's episode of 'Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre,' Mitena (Rhian Ramos) sent Olgana (Bianca Manalo) on a mission to find Terra, lending her the fire gem to give her an advantage against the powerful Sang'gre. She warned Olgana that betrayal would mean death, but Olgana vowed loyalty. Alongside Veshdita (Shuvee Etrata) and other warriors, Olgana crossed through a portal to the mortal realm, unseen by human eyes. Watching from a distance, Pirena grew alarmed as she recognized they were hunting her long-lost niece. Their presence soon turned deadly, stabbing innocent civilians, including Terra's friend, Dina (Therese Malvar). Realizing something was terribly wrong, Terra donned her Sang'gre garb and confronted the intruders and revealed her ability to see them when no one else could. A fight erupted, confirming to Olgana's group that they had found the Sang'gre they sought. As Terra fought back, Olgana unleashed the fire gem's power against her, but just before it struck, Pirena appeared, shielding Terra from the attack. 'Hindi ganyan ang wastong paggamit ng brilyante. Ako ang iyong kalabanin, 'wag ang aking hadiya,' Pirena declared, marking the long-awaited reunion of aunt and niece. Terra and Pirena had already crossed paths before, but neither knew then that they were aunt and niece or that Terra was the one Pirena had long been searching for. "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" airs on GMA Network from Mondays to Fridays at 8 p.m. after "24 Oras." You can also watch it online via the Kapuso Stream on YouTube. — Carby Basina/LA, GMA Integrated News

Have Kate Valdez and Fumiya Sankai talked about marriage?
Have Kate Valdez and Fumiya Sankai talked about marriage? On Friday's episode of 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' the couple openly discussed their future plans, confirming that their relationship extends beyond casual dating. According to Kate, she believes it's time to talk about marriage and settling down. 'Kasi we're not just together for joke-joke lang. Sometimes there's [a] question din na you have to know about the financial stuff, paano 'yung mga gano'ng bagay,' she said. While they are taking their time and currently focusing on their respective careers, the Sparkle star affirmed that marriage is a direction they are heading towards. 'Papunta naman dun pero we're still enjoying our time,' Kate said. Fumiya echoed the sentiment, affirming that they are indeed talking about their future. 'I know [the] right time will come. Definitely. 'Di ba? That's why now we focus on ourselves. Pero siyempre, I want to be with her,' he said. When probed about the hypothetical possibility of moving to Japan if they were to marry, Kate expressed a strong willingness to experience it. 'Kasi siyempre I grew up here. Pero experiencing that, his culture as well, I think it's good kasi I have to know,' she said. 'I have to know his values more, his culture. So yeah, I'd love to. I'd love to experience that.' Like Kate, Fumiya also answered positively when asked if he's willing to transfer to the Philippines for good just to be with her. 'Yeah, siyempre!' he said. Kate and Fumiya welcomed 2025 in Taiwan and then headed to Japan, where they did a kimono-themed photoshoot and went strawberry picking.
