Egyptian diplomat: Egypt attaches importance to support & empower its expats in host countries
CAIRO, March 24 (MENA) – Egypt's ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union and NATO Ahmed Abu Zeid said Egypt attaches great importance to support and empower its community members in host countries.
The Egyptian diplomat's remarks were made during his participation in the Ramadan iftar banquet, hosted by the Egypt lovers association in Belgium, and which was attended by nearly 200 members of the Egyptian community in Belgium.
Ambassador Abu Zeid underlined the national and cultural role played by the Egyptian community as representatives of Egypt in their workplaces and residences.
He also expressed the Egyptian embassy's readiness to participate in organizing cultural events, in coordination with the community members in Belgium.
The embassy is also ready to promote their developmental role by launching a number of initiatives to encourage them to invest in Egypt, Ambassador Abu Zeid said, citing initiatives in offering housing, investment, and agricultural lands, as well as Egypt's Zero-Customs Car Import Initiative.
He also reviewed the Foreign Affairs and Emigration Ministry's efforts in consular services, including the adoption of an integrated plan to digitize consular services, in coordination with relevant authorities.
The ministry also launched an initiative to settle expats' military status and dispatch committees to issue national ID cards, he further noted.
Abu Zeid concluded by calling on members of the Egyptian community to interact positively with the embassy by submitting proposals and ideas to improve services and organize events that enhance Egypt's positive image in the European community. (MENA)

FM Receives High-Level Indian Parliamentary Delegation in Cairo
Nada Mustafa Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, received a high-level parliamentary delegation from India during their official visit to Cairo. During the meeting, Abdelatty emphasized the importance of capitalizing on the momentum witnessed in Egypt-India relations over recent years and translating it into concrete actions to enhance cooperation across various fields. FM, Trump's senior advisor mull developments in Sudan, Libya
CAIRO, June 1 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty received a phone call on Sunday from Massad Boulos, Senior Advisor to US President Donald Trump for Arab and Middle Eastern Affairs and Senior Advisor for Africa. Boulos expressed deep appreciation for President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's warm reception during his recent Cairo visit, describing it as positive and reflective of the strong bilateral ties. They exchanged views on the situation in Libya, Sudan, and the Great Lakes region. Abdelatty shared the outcomes of the tripartite meeting of Libya's neighboring states (Egypt, Algeria, Tunisia), which emphasized the need for preserving Libya's unity and sovereignty and for the withdrawal of foreign forces and militias. Both sides agreed on the importance for achieving stability and ending divisions in the country. On Sudan, Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt's support for Sudan's unity and stability and highlighted Egypt's positive engagement with efforts to secure a ceasefire and alleviate the people's humanitarian suffering. The two agreed to enhance joint coordination with the US and key stakeholders on Sudan. Regarding the Great Lakes region, the top diplomat welcomed the US-facilitated Declaration of Principles signed by the DRC and Rwanda on April 25, calling it a vital step for peace, stability, and regional development.
