New York-based Egyptian rapper-turned-singer Felukah teams up with Egyptian multi-instrumentalist Ash on a joint single 'On My Mind'.
The duo initially made it in 2023, shortly after their first meeting, and later premiered it at Ash's debut live concert at the Pyramids of Giza on October 18th, 2024.
The track is carried by a Middle Eastern-tinged deep house beat that is both soulful and dance-ready at best. Ash's signature transportive fusion of traditional instrumentals and electronics flows dreamily with Felukah's pop sensibilities and laid-back delivery of poignant lyrics in both Arabic and English.

Her penchant for discovering new sounds has led her to build an extensive repertoire over the years, blending diverse music styles from different cultures. Her sets often incorporate influences from oriental, Brazilian funk, hip-hop and jazz. NeighborsByMusic treats us to a special vinyl-only set–initially recorded at JIVE in Beirut–that meshes together threads of Brazilian bossa nova, funk, and Arabic oldies from Simone and Hamid El Shaeri with 90s hip-hop and a hint of jazzy house here and there. This win led the Chivalrous Ones to the first FIFA World Cup qualification in their history.
