Gulf Coast Jam garners 100,000 people over four days; tickets already going fast for 2026
As executive producer of the popular country music festival, Lovelady said the event garnered a combined 100,000 people over its four days. It was held May 29 to June 1 at Frank Brown Park in Panama City Beach.
"We had close to 100,000 people in the park over the four days," he said. "The event) helps the community. ... It helps feed people. It fills the restaurants up. It fills the hotels up. It's just a great thing.
"It also draws international attention to our little beach here."
The 2025 Gulf Coat Jam featured performances from headliners Sam Hunt on Thursday, Lainey Wilson on Friday, Tyler Childers on Saturday and Blake Shelton on Sunday.
Stormy weather conditions caused delays on Thursday, and an evacuation on Friday, but operations ran smoothly Saturday and Sunday.
Lovelady credited the event's success in the wake of challenges to its volunteers and first responders, as well as contributing organizations, including the Bay County Sheriff's Office and Panama City Beach Police Department.
He noted ticket combined attendance for 2025 was about 20,000 less than in 2023, which holds the record as the best year in the event's history.
That said, he is confident 2026 will be another record-breaking year for the festival. On Thursday evening, officials announced the entire lineup for next year, sparking a surge of ticket sales unlike anything Gulf Coast Jam has ever experienced.
"When we announced our new lineup, we sold almost four times faster in the four days of the festival than we've ever sold," Lovelady said. "This next one is going to be huge."
The complete lineup for 2026 is:
Thursday, May 28, 2026 − Gannon Fremin, Walker Montgomery, Cooper Alan, Wyatt Flores, Treaty Oak Revival and headliner Keith Urban.
Friday, May 29, 2026 − Hueston, Cole Goodwin, Brent Cobb, Jackson Dean, Marcus King and headliner Chris Stapleton.
Saturday, May 30, 2026 − Hannah McFarland, Ashland Craft, Josh Ross, Ole 60, Koe Wetzel and headliner Riley Green.

The weekend is here, and Philadelphia is more than ready for it! From Phillies alumni celebrations in South Philly to a Grammy Award-winning artist performing down in South Jersey, there's something on the docket for everyone this weekend. Musikfest 2025 is also officially underway in Bethlehem, as is BlackStar Film Festival in the City of Brotherly Love. That's just a teaser for an incredibly vibrant weekend in the Philadelphia region. Here's what else is going on. A sure sign of summer is back in the Lehigh Valley — it's Musikfest 2025! This 10-day festival in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is nothing short of action-packed, featuring performances by A-list headlining acts like country musicians Riley Green and Darius Rucker, as well as iconic bands like Third Eye Blind and The Black Keys. The festival hosts over 500 free performances for the public across 15 stages, plus 11 ticketed headliner shows. Beyond the music, this summer scene is a celebration of the arts, food and creativity. The festival kicked off on Thursday night with a plethora of performances, including a set by Megan Moroney. Friday will be headlined by Riley Green, Saturday by The Avett Brothers, and Sunday by Darius Rucker. A full schedule for the festival is available online. A big weekend is here for the Phillies: a celebration of a core member of their golden era, the GM who helped build the team's 2008 World Series team, honoring Hall of Fame slugger Dick Allen, a premier pitching matchup and Sunday Night Baseball. The Phillies will kick off alumni weekend Friday night by inducting Jimmy Rollins and Ed Wade into the team's Wall of Fame. The Phils expect 54 alumni to be in town this weekend for their series against the Detroit Tigers. Friday could also be the first game fans get to see new closer Jhoan Duran and outfielder Harrison Bader in a Phillies uniform. Before Saturday's game, the Phillies will have an on-field presentation celebrating Allen's induction into the Hall of Fame. Saturday also features one of the most intriguing pitching matchups in baseball: Zack Wheeler (9-4, 2.56) vs. Tarik Skubal (10-3, 2.09). The Phils close out the three-game series with a Sunday Night Baseball appearance. Tickets are available on the Phillies' website and third-party sites like StubHub and SeatGeek. If you speak fluent subtitles or smell popcorn in your dreams, this one's for you. The 14th annual BlackStar Film Festival, with a "one of a kind celebration of Black, Brown and Indigenous filmmaking," is back for another year this weekend. The festival will take place in person and virtually through Sunday at various theaters, including the Kimmel Center, the Wilma Theater and the Suzanne Roberts Theatre. Tickets for an in-person bundle are $80. The virtual bundle is $30. There is also an all-access pass for $350 and a virtual pass for $150. It's showtime at the Academy of Music this weekend. Packed with peachy treats, live music and beautiful strolls from Saturday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Shops will stay open until 8 p.m. Saturday. Admission and parking are free. BTR will take the stage at The Mann on Saturday night and be joined by none other than Stephen Kramer Glickman, AKA Gustavo Rocque, and Katelyn Tarver, who played Jo Taylor, Kendall Schmidt's girlfriend. The band's last album dropped in 2023, but they've recently released a new single, "I Want You Here All The Time." Big Time Rush is set to play every song from every episode of their former Nickelodeon television show, "Big Time Rush." Fans can get in the spirit by listening to the 2025 IRL Tour Setlist. Fenway Park Concession Workers Go On Strike Ahead Of Red Sox-Dodgers Series
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. As fans flock to Fenway Park this weekend for a midsummer series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston Red Sox, they're being asked to not purchase any food or drinks during the three games in America's oldest ballpark. The request comes from Fenway Park concession workers, who officially went on strike at noon ET on Friday. Members of UNITE HERE Local 26 took to the picket lines on Friday, as they implore food services company Aramark to provide "living wages, guardrails on technology, and R-E-S-P-E-C-T!" BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS - JUNE 29:A beer vendor walks through the stands during a game between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Boston Red Sox on June 29, 2025 at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts."We're underpaid and under-appreciated," Melquis Valdera, a Fenway concessions worker for nine years, said in a union Facebook post. "Aramark expects the fans to cover our wages and that's not right. They make millions and we're simply asking for our fair share." The strike involves Aramark employees of both Fenway Park and MGM Music Hall, a live music venue adjacent to the ballpark that is also owned by Fenway Sports Group. The strike is planned to last three days, through the final game of the series on Sunday. MGM Music Hall also has a Riley Green concert scheduled for Friday night. In a reply on X, the workers' union asked fans to "Enjoy the game, don't buy food or drink!" The union has been negotiating a new deal with Aramark throughout the year but on Wednesday set a 48-hour strike deadline earlier for Friday. Aramark said in a statement earlier this week that the company was disappointed in the strike deadline and that contingency plans are in place to ensure fans at Fenway Park will have the ability to purchase food and drink during the games this weekend.
