While Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has taken the fourth position, Rajan Shahi-produced shows Anupamaa and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai have bagged the top two spots. Anupamaa has secured a TRP of 2.3 and a reach of 3.6 million, while Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai has gotten a TRP of 2.1 and a reach of 3.4 million in the last week. Asit Kumar Modi's Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has also overtaken Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. In the third spot, TMKOC has a TRP of 2.1 and a reach of 3.2 million.
Last week, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi makers had announced how the show had set a benchmark on Indian television, garnering the highest TRPs in the last few years. JioHotstar's distribution head, Piyush Goyal, had shared on LinkedIn that Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 received a TVR of 2.8 million and it reached 31.1 million viewers, clocking 1.1 billion viewing minutes.
Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi has been facing some backlash on social media, and fans have been pointing out a disconnect between Smriti Irani and her co-star's performances. Some have even accused Smriti of using a body double for the show, while a few others have been pointing out how Tulsi Virani seems to be copying Anupamaa a lot.
