Save £105 on a 'premium' smartwatch that's 'just like Apple' as it drops to under £25
Amazon customers have been gushing about a smartwatch they describe as a "budget-friendly" yet "sleek" and "comfortable" device to sport.
The Smart Watch for Men and Women was £129.99 but has now dropped by 82% to £23.99, offering a massive £105.01 saving for gadget enthusiasts. This time-limited offer applies to the midnight black and pink smartwatches.
The Poounur smartwatch features a 1.95-inch HD curved display, complete with 3D tempered glass and pledges to provide a 320×385 resolution for "enhanced" clarity and a "broader" viewing experience. Boasting its slender 8mm profile and weighing just 32g, the lightweight yet practical gadget aims to provide all-day comfort.
The smartwatch offers four levels of adjustable brightness, ensuring clear visibility beneath blazing sunshine or during dimmer evening hours. The device also includes Bluetooth calls and smart message notifications, a 'GloryFit' app and more than 110 sport modes, reports Wales Online.
The watch is also waterproof, meaning it can monitor your steps, distance, calories burned, and workout duration while you're engaging in outdoor or indoor activities, such as jogging, cycling, or working up a sweat at the gym. However, while it's waterproof, Amazon warns that this smartwatch isn't suitable for swimming or hot showers.
When you're not exercising, the Amazon smartwatch also comes fitted with a high-precision optical sensor that enables 24-hour real-time heart rate monitoring, keeping you updated about your physical wellbeing. It also evaluates sleep quality and can track long-term health patterns, helping you develop a healthier way of life.
According to Amazon, this smartwatch boasts extended battery life and multiple functions. It runs on a 300mAh battery with a low power consumption design, which means it aims to deliver up to five to seven days of use and up to 30 days of standby time, requiring just 1.5 hours of charging. And it's also compatible with smartphones running Bluetooth 4.0, Android 5.0, iOS 9.0, or newer versions.

Meanwhile, major brands such as Apple and Samsung are recognised for their steep prices for smartwatches. However, Sky Mobile customers can reduce costs by spreading the expense of devices like the Apple Watch SE or Samsung Galaxy Watch7 from £7 a month. If you don't mind splashing more cash, you can find the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 for its full price of £239 at Samsung's own store.
Returning to Amazon, and the Smart Watch for Men Women has earned a rating of 4.9 out of 5-stars and approximately 215 reviews.
One satisfied customer said: "I'm really impressed with this smartwatch! It's lightweight, comfortable, and looks sleek on the wrist. Setup was super easy, and it synced with my phone in minutes. The screen is bright and responsive, and I love how smoothly notifications, calls, and messages come through. Absolutely love it!"
Another chuffed customer noted it had been a 'solid purchase' for them. " This Smart Watch has been a solid purchase so far. The call feature works well, and the screen is clear and easy to read," they said. "It tracks my heart rate and sleep accurately, and the range of sports modes is impressive. Battery life has held up well. Setup was straightforward, and syncing with my phone was quick. Overall, it's met my expectations."
Another satisfied customer commented: " This fantastic smartwatch offers an exceptional price/value ratio! The clear display is very easy to read, and the call function works perfectly. The setup process was incredibly simple, making it a breeze. The stylish design truly feels like a premium product without breaking the bank. I highly recommend it!"
And another had this to say: " Budget friendly, look like Apple Watch, can check heart rate, good quality, easy to use".
However, not everyone was thrilled with their purchase. One buyer claimed that the smartwatch's sensor was not working for them. "I am removing one star because the temperature sensor is not working," they said. "Otherwise great watch, nothing to add."
However, the majority of reviews were positive. One satisfied customer praised the device, stating: "This watch is a good price with lots of features, the screen is a good size, I don't need my glasses to read it. I can monitor my calories and my steps as well as keep an eye on my pulse when I'm exercising." They continue: "This is a really useful feature for me as I have a heart problem. It looks stylish and is very comfortable to wear. I also found it very easy to set up. Definitely recommended by me."

'Life changing' Vax carpet cleaner that leaves rooms looking 'like new' drops from £349 to £199
'Don't know why it's taken me this long to get a Vax. It's changed my life.' While the vast majority of people will do a clean up throughout the day to keep their home tidy, there comes a point when you need to do a deep clean. While the idea may be daunting, the task can be made easier with the right equipment. Cleaning the carpets can often be a frustrating task, especially if you have pets. For some of us it can feel as though no matter how much you hoover and scrub, the hairs and dirt brought in by your loving four-legged friend just won't go away. If households are wanting to bring life back to their ageing carpets, it may be time to invest in a carpet cleaner. Thankfully, Amazon has slashed £150 off a popular device as part of a limited time deal. Usually retailing for £349, shoppers can now buy the Vax Smartwash Pet-Design Carpet Cleaner for £199. Dubbed as Vax's 'best ever carpet washer', this device is said to be able to kill over 99 per cent of bacteria, leaving carpets looking brand new. This carpet cleaner is ideal for households with pets as it comes with a pre-treatment wand and a solution that will help neutralise odours and break down tough stains quickly. Said to be seven times more effective than vacuuming alone, this is a must-have device to have in any household. Vax Smartwash Pet-Design Carpet Cleaner £349 £199 Buy Now on Product Description Featuring motion sense technology, cleaning will be a breeze as all shoppers need to do is push and pull the device and the cleaner will do the rest of the work. Pushing the cleaner forward will wash the carpet, while pulling it back will dry the same area. Another popular cleaner on Amazon is the BISSELL ProHeat 2X Revolution Carpet Cleaner. Dropped down from £249 to £199, this device features 12 rows of dual dirtlifter power brushes to lift and remove embedded dirt. This will provide a deep clean and leave any carpets or rugs feeling fresh. Alternatively, for those looking for something a bit cheaper, Argos has reduced the price of the Shark CarpetXpert HairPro Pet Carpet Cleaner. Normally retailing for £230, shoppers can now grab it for only £140. Argos states that this device is able to pick up three times more pet hair than other upright carpet cleaners. Back to the Vax Smartwash, it currently holds a 4.6 star rating on Amazon, with over 1,000 people purchasing the device in the last 30 days. One delighted shopper said: "A brilliant easy to use machine. Mixes the water and solution automatically and leaves the carpet like new. As easy to use as a vacuum cleaner. Highly recommended." With another five-star reviewer adding: "Absolutely amazing carpet cleaner it has completely cleaned my rugs from all the pet dirt my little one brings in from the garden. "My rugs look like new again and smell so fresh. Don't know why it's taken me this long to get a Vax. It's changed my life… Sad but true." However, some shoppers did leave mixed reviews. One shopper noted a problem in the delivery: "The machine came without the user manual." While another customer wrote: "Works okay and is not as powerful as it is described, however, it does its job." Despite this, a fifth customer gushed: "Fabulous machine! We've had a Vax carpet cleaner for years and it's just given up the ghost so I made the decision to buy this model. This is such an improvement on the older model - easy to fill, so much easier to push - nowhere near as heavy. "Amazing cleaning (really amazing!) which doesn't over use the cleaning fluid & the push/pull system is great meaning the carpet isn't wet through once the carpet is clean. It's so much easier to empty & clean after use, with easy to remove brushes." Amazon has slashed 43 per cent off the Vax Smartwash Pet-Design Carpet Cleaner. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! UK ‘agreed to drop' Apple data demand in privacy row, US chief says
Tulsi Gabbard posted on X that the UK has agreed to end the request for the US tech giant after working alongside American president Donald Trump, vice president JD Vance and British counterparts 'over the past few months'. She posted: 'As a result, the UK agreed to drop its mandate for Apple to provide a 'back door' that would have enabled access to the protected encrypted data of American citizens and encroached on our civil liberties.' Over the past few months, I've been working closely with our partners in the UK, alongside @POTUS and @VP, to ensure Americans' private data remains private and our Constitutional rights and civil liberties are protected. As a result, the UK has agreed to drop its mandate for… — DNI Tulsi Gabbard (@DNIGabbard) August 19, 2025 Earlier this year, it was reported the Government had issued a notice under the Investigatory Powers Act 2016, asking Apple for the ability to access data from Apple users. This was said to include encrypted data protected by the tech giant's advanced data protection (ADP) tool, an opt-in tool within Apple's iCloud service which only an account holder can access, and is currently out of the reach of even Apple. The iPhone-maker subsequently said it was withdrawing the tool from the UK and brought legal action against the Home Office. Reacting to Ms Gabbard's statement, Conservative MP David Davis said: 'The Government's decision to drop its demands for a backdoor to Apple's encryption are to be welcomed. 'Such a backdoor would only serve to weaken the protection given by encryption to all of us from malicious actors.' However, some online safety charities, as well as police and security services around the world, have long warned of the dangers of end-to-end encrypted services, arguing that they allow offenders such as terrorists and child abusers to hide more easily. On Tuesday, a UK Government spokesperson said: 'We do not comment on operational matters, including confirming or denying the existence of such notices. 'We have long had joint security and intelligence arrangements with the US to tackle the most serious threats such as terrorism and child sexual abuse, including the role played by fast-moving technology in enabling those threats.' They added the agreements have 'long contained' safeguards to protect privacy and sovereignty, including for UK and US citizens. Apple has been contacted for comment.
